Re: 4inch PVC Aero/NFT 4x5 SCROG (1200 Watts)

Yeah the hardest part of a scrog is learning the timing for the strain your using. Hopfully they won't streÞch to be to tall through experience I found that the higher they stretch over the screen the less of a yeild. They aren't to far over now though and yield shouldn't be adffected to much

Interesting but I don't know if I agree. If you've got enough light it doesnt matter how far above the screen....you'll yield.

However, I'm now seeing that I let them go just a tad early. I'm going to have foot tall colas in some places and am actually considering an emergency mini-tuck job if they stretch much more, simply because I wanted them at 6-8 inches.......lol

Looks like you've received enough 5 star votes for the software to rate the thread

Congratulations

I have no idea what that means Soniq....but thank you......lol

:thankyou:

When you look at the list of threads in a forum. To the right of the thread name and left of the poster name you may see nothing, a green box, and/or stars. The green box means you've subscribed to the thread.

The stars mean that enough people voted on a thread for it to become rated.
This helps new people know at a glance, which threads are the best

To rate a thread see the "rate thread" drop down box on the line above the first post on the right hand side

I see it like this ... and I am talking from personal experience over my past four or five scrogs... It seems like the less leaves there are the more the plant focuses on bud production. Sure your tops are all going to have the same amount of light but if you let em grow above the screen too much all the growth under the main colas gets shaded out. I have let them grow above the screen on the first two and got 5 ounces for three plants... in the last three grows I have made sure the buds start right from the screen and have gotten yields as high as 7.5 to 8 ounces. I know that sounds really drastic but its the truth. But then again I have only grown the same strain for all of my grows and I dont know if it works the same for other strains.

Next grow give it a try and see waht happens... and if you want to pull em down this grow I use gardening twist ties.... they work amazingly.

Anyways everything looks amazing man and keep up the great thread. I am currently working on ordering parts for an aero system and am hoping for even higher yield... your system is an inspiration I cant believe how fast your screen filled in.

Great info. Much appreciated.... and I understand what you're saying. However, you have to tuck the leaves above the screen to avoid the shading.

If you let them get a foot tall as I have there will be shading you cannot avoid.....I will take a look at the canopy this evening. I may tuck them a little.

Best of luck on your Aero design. I'll help in any way that I can.

Right on man I definetly will need the help for sure. I am a hydro virgin other than what I've seen from my friends grow but he's deep water culture.
