They pop when you smoke 'em, though..... 
Now there's another PotChimp story.
Last Spring I managed to get a half-a$$ed seedy crop and filled a couple pint Mason jars. I took a shower and went downstairs to burn a jaybird. I was still wet from the shower so I didn't grab my shirt but I got a 24 ounce beer mug and filled it with ice and water to take with me. I put my ice water on the shelf above my chair, sit down, put my feet up on the footstool and I'm thinking "Damn I left my reading glasses upstairs! Oh well I'm too lazy I'll just feel to see if there's any seeds should be no problem." and just rolled one up anyway. I was sitting there smoking on it thinking like Thurston Howell III man I got three different weeds to choose from hey let's buy Amsterdam and roll it up into one big joint Lovie my feet were up on the footstool and just as I was doing a good lung ripper I smelled it and just as I did POP!!!!! a bean went off like a firecracker and the damn thing shot out the end of the doob and straight into my naval. Man it felt like somebody stuck a hot needle into it and kept pushing and my dumb a$$ panicked and stuck my finger in which pushed it even further plus I burnt my finger. It wouldn't stop, and freaking out I thought I should try to hop up and get a little condensation off of the side of my beer mug on my finger to put out the smoldering seed (the shelf is just a little too high to reach sitting). In a moment of pain and panic like that I guess a human being tends to think he can actually hop using his a$$ cheeks so that didn't go too well and all I managed to do was tumble the mug off the shelf. What sucked there was that my right arm was pinned next to the armrest because of the awkward failed butthop thing and the mug was heading toward my face. All I could do was turn my head and get crowned with the mug which dumped the icy cold water on me and came to rest uncomfortably in between my testicles. At that point I was pretty much insane and just shot up from the chair to get away from it all but Fate would have none of it. Of all the places for one of those stupid ice cubes to be why after all that $hit happened did it have to be directly under my foot? Well I slipped, fell on the footstool and then on the floor and after laying there for a minute with a burnt belly button and finger shocked from ice water and a blow to my head and nutz holding my ribs thinking how one little seed did all that the next thing I thought was "If there's some conscious being in the Universe that controls and dictates all of this and can hear me now, you suck for that." Man that shit hurt.....
As you probably already guessed, I'm pretty clumsy.

Naw they pop because your lights are on...release a few at a time at lights out....when there are no more aphids to eat they die and fall to the floor of the room or tent unless you release as many that you find outside...praying mantis are also voracious eaters and also available on AmazonThem pop when you smoke 'em, though.....

Thanks for the advice, everybody. I think the ladybugs will be my next remedy, and I'll get a container of Captain Jack's Dead Bug at the nursery near here. I already bought some Aza-Max and did a full plant dip to everything in that grow, even though I broke a few branches. This grow is a little beat up, but it has about 4-5 weeks to recover. The AUH1 in the other unit is looking pretty rough too. I knew it was going to kick my butt. I couldn't keep the heat under control without moving to a 400 watt HPS, which isn't the best for a Sativa like this. But after the fan change this unit the Satori grow is in will be good for Sativas and I'll LST and train now that I read up on it and saw a few people do it on here. I better get ready for this because the next Sativa I'm doing is Old Timer's Haze. I'll post pics later to show you all what I mean.

One beat up Arjan's Ultra Haze #1 (I knew it was going to kick my a$$)

The next Haze I do will be different. I'm going to do only one for the whole grow unit (maybe two, but I doubt both my reg seeds will be female), and it will be topped and LST'ed then put under a SCROG. I put the seeds into germination using the paper towel method today. I'm doing Ace Seeds Old Timer's Haze using Subcool's supersoil mix slightly altered as follows (mostly for amount):
1 large bag Roots Organics soil mix
5 lbs. organic worm castings
1-1/8 cup steamed bone meal
2-1/4 cups bloom bat guano
2-1/4 cups blood meal
1/2 cup rock phosphate
1-1/2 Tbsp. epsom salts
1 Tbsp. dolomite lime
1 Tbsp. azomite
1 Tbsp. powdered humic acid
Here's my next start. 3 Grand Daddy Purple - Phantom Cookies (reg), 1 Dutch Passion - Blueberry (fem - told you I'd do it again in a second), 1 OG Raskal - White Urkel (fem), 1 Dr. Greenthumb - OG Kush Ghost Cut (fem), and 1 Big Buddha Seeds - Blue Cheese (fem). There's a few ragged clones of the Free Tibet there too. I let them go to Hell because I didn't think I was going to reveg, but the weed stinks and gets me pretty high too so here we go again with that.....
The beat up from debugging, overfertilized Satori grow.
This undergrowth is looking a little better than the top.
The rest of what I have from the last grow is still curing for about the last week (or less). All of them are good pot.
I'll post a little info when I smoke a cured doob of each one.

I flipped that AUH1 over on each side so that the undersides could get light. I guess if I SCROG this (or these) Old Timer's Haze plants the top will be the only good looking part and the underside will look like the pic above. Maybe I should have left it alone. If it stays that scrawny (yieldwise, not heightwise) I should try to use that Cheech and Chong rolling paper on it.....
Oh by the way both OTH reg seeds are opened; 100% germ rate. I'll plant them tomorrow. Was going to do a Finest Medicinal Seeds G13 fem grow next, but BC Bud Depot did S1s of GSC,
so those will go in maybe a week from now.

I'm going to end that disaster tomorrow and put it in the dark for a few days. Maybe I'll dry it and use that Big Bambu paper on it.....

Kief that whole Satori grow up and toss it in that Big Bambu wrap with this whole AUH1 grow is what I should do.....

Note : Fed all the plants in the Phantom Cookie grow full strength AN Iguana Grow w/all organic additives. I'm going to supersoil this grow as soon as I repot in a few days.

That AUH#1 looks just like pure sativa bush weed. I bet it smokes nice but not exactly for production. You probably got an unlucky phenotype.

Thanks, Kushmeister. Damn I use those CO2 fungus bags and put them on top of my air-cooled reflector. I know the black crud on the middle buds of this AUH1 is from the bag leaking (I'm sure it got more than a good "watering") because I saw the drip going down the back of the cooltube directly above it. The pot smells of it, too. Not the weed pot, the 5 gallon pot. Well I'm sure the weed pot smells of it also, but I'm gonna toss it if it don't wash off. Could be a part of why this plant didn't do so well, besides the heat stress, being put to the side and out of under direct light for half of the flowering period, and finished off under a 400 watt HPS (not enough for a Haze if you ask me).

My guess is that it is Neville's Haze dominant, which would explain how it turned out. I'll tell you what, it smells good as Hell. But by the time I skin the leaves off and dry it there isn't going to be an ounce of pot. What I think I'm gonna do come Dr. Grinspoon time is put them all six in one 10 gallon pot and SCROG the mess. But I've got about 9 months of this Old Timer's Haze grow to deal with first. Damn I don't get tired of getting my a$$ kicked by Mother Nature, huh? You're all gonna have to pull me out of the rafters when these Sativas throw me off their back.

The ol' chimp'll smoke it.....
Well I got busy last night and transplanted all 3 of the Phantom Cookie reg plants into 2 gallon grow bags then decided to do the same to the Blueberry, White Urkel, and OG Kush - Ghost Cut. The bottom of the bags has the supersoil mix and the top is straight Roots Organic soil. Brown coloration ran out of the bottom of the bags when I watered the plants in, so it's probably a bit hot but it will be a week or two before the roots get into the bottom area of the bags and hopefully I won't get nute burn. I pulled the AUH1 last night when I put these into my second unit under a 250 watt Agrosun MH/HPS @ 18/6. It smells like lemon furniture polish. It's the strongest citrus odor strain I've grown so far; it dogs out SLH and Ice put together. It's going to dry up to be a pityful harvest though. Post pics soon.....
