2046 : Chimp vs. Sativa

Note : All 6 BC Bud Depot Girl Scout Cookies seeds opened up and I put them in 4" peat pots using Roots Organic soil. I had to cut most of the Satori tops off of those plants; the Azamax dip caused enough moisture for mold in a few places on the ones I chopped. The bottoms look okay so I'll let them finish out. In about a week or more I'll be putting both Old Timer's Haze plants in there to start. I'll try to get pics posted of the Phantom Cookie-based grow I started up later.

Girl Scout Cookies. Is that the latest and greatest must have shit?

The getting old thing sucks man I need glasses to FIND my glasses and it doesn't do any good to find them because once I do I can't remember why I was looking for them in the first place. Your farts got a tight, "I'm-pretty-much-alive" sound to them when you're young and able, but when you get to the age when they start sounding like the horn on a clown car you know you've seen your better days. I'm coming up on the age where they sound like somebody sucked on a lemon then tried to blow a note on a tuba, so I know I better not try something stupid like exercise or I'll probably wind up in the hospital. When they sound like somebody holding a duck's head under the mud until it drowns well then it's the ol' boneyard for me I guess..... :(

That's what they say, anyway. :) I've been wanting to try Durban Poison, and I like both GDP and OG Kush, so it sounds like it should be a worthwhile venture to me.

Well, good luck with that. I'll be

So, does that mean HGK seeds will be going on sale? :)

I hope so! :)
Well here's a scattered update; I've been busy as Hell lately. This is the grow I started with the Blueberry fem, OG Kush - Ghost Cut S1 fem, White Urkel fem, and Phantom Cookie reg seeds. They're in a mix that's supersoil on the bottom and Roots Organic soil on top (1/2 and 1/2).

And when the Original White Widow IBL seed opened and died I replaced it in the grow with Big Buddha Seeds Blue Cheese. This went into a 2 gallon pot with the same mix yesterday (I did the same to a Grand Daddy Purple clone).

These two Ace Seeds Old Timers Haze reg seeds will be going straight into 5 gallon pots with the exception being that the bottom 2/3 of the pot will be supersoil; 24 weeks is a long time so I want to give it more food than 1/2.

The Satori grow is in the dark for a few days and most of the tops are chopped off and drying. They pulled out of it slightly respectable considering it was a problem grow (midflowering problems are the most disasterous as far as I'm concerned; they've harmed my yields the most). This isn't too horrible>>>>>

And my BC Bud Depot GSC grow is up. Here's an oddball three cotylendon seedling (it'll probably be a runt).

I'm going to be adding 4 or 5 Chemdawg D BX3 plants to this journal; I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance and my tweaking work to the units is done (I added a 50 watt tri-band LED to the unit the AUH1 was in and may add another if I can get it). Oh, by the way I chopped that AUH1 and I'll take pics when it is dried up some. It's not a total disaster either, but wispy from the lack of proper light.

I'm going to keep this journal going until I'm successful at growing a Haze or Haze-type Sativa. At that point I think I'm going to label each individual grow after by strain name to make it easier for people who are growing or wanting to grow each strain I'm doing to find it. I know there are a lot of people who are interested in the strain Girl Scout Cookies (my dumb chimp a$$ got Cali Connection's GSC too; it'll be a while on that one, though). They won't be able to get much info on feeding because of the "water only" method I'll be using, but as far as growth rates by bulb size, pheno traits, flowering traits and times, and any other useful info, I'll put as much of that as I can think of. I got a feeling about a couple of things with these next coming up strains. One, being an S1 (assuming no variations from the first one I grew) that the OG Kush Ghost Cut is going to kick everything in that grow units a$$ when it comes to yield. Two, I think I see a pattern is Ken Este's (Grand Daddy Purple) work. If something starts getting the world's notice and his original work is used (i.e. GSC) he responds. I got a feeling that this Phantom Cookies strain is going to be a better cut than GSC (not in general, but on my end at least from seedbank seeds. I know, bold claim, huh?). What I meant to say was..... Ooh ooh ooh AHH AHH AHH!!!!!

:) :peace:

So mr chimp your gonna grow another jungle? Like those upcoming
strains. Never seen a plant mutate like the last 1 is.
Might your biggest plant ever.

Ima grow me three! :)
That's the second 3 cotylendon plant I've grown so far. The first was a runt. This one seems to have a node under the cotylendon (above the third freak one). It could be just part of the round leaf. It would be cool if this thing grew 2 natural apical meristems. Looking forward to seeing these new strains out myself.

:peace:

Note : I put both Old Timer's Haze reg seedlings in the 5 gallon buckets and 2/3 supersoil 1/3 soil mix yesterday. The lighter green thinner leaf one had a rootball breakdown when I tried to remove some of the peat pot. It'll live but probably be stunted. I kind of hope so because 6 months is a looooooooooooooooooooooong flowering period and it may help to keep it smaller. They are both under a 400 watt HPS Eye-Hortilux bulb (supplemented with a 50 watt tri-band LED) @ 12/12. It's going to be a month before I can get a second one to supplement the other side. I keep trying to keep this jaybird lit but when I start typing it goes out so I better go 'cause I just almost burnt my nose hair again and that hurt the tip of my nose last time even though it made me laugh for ten minutes so 'bye now! :thumb:

Looking great Potchimp,
Super soil will serve you well my friend, dont even be tempted to feed for a long time, or water for that matter, just let it do its magic. I just leave mine alone all the time, never check really, not like I used to anyway. Just water when pot light as you know and you will smash a beautiful organic child. :)

Thanks, JB42. If this works out right, it will be my way of doing Sativas from now on. :)
Well the weirdo Girl Scout Cookie seedling just keeps getting weirder. I dug it out a little with a toothpick when I saw something in the soil and one of what would have been Siamese twins (in people) grew out without a head or cotylendons and died off, and the second now has 4 cotylendons and is attempting to form a second apical meristem (which will probably be recessive to the top one, or die off altogether). Usually mutations stop when veg begins, and it's smaller than the others but I'll smoke it.....

Here's a few pics of those Chemdawg BX3 females I'm flowering out from my breeding project.

Now I crowded this grow out with a few clones and a few small plants (one which I will be putting back into veg) so I could start those Phantom Cookie regs and my Blueberry, OG Kush - Ghost Cut S1, and White Urkel fem plants under 12/12 today. I'll get some more pics up and a listing of all I have going on in a day or two.

Ooh ooh ooh, AHH AHH AHH!!!!! :)

Baaahaahaa b b Baahaahaa

Note : I harvested 2 small Golden Tiger, Cheese, and Exodus Cheese clones. They're all small (the Exodus Cheese might be one blunt), but I just kept them alive in case I liked them enough to reveg. I did decide to reveg one Golden Tiger clone and put it in 18/6 under the 250 watt MH/HPS with a Y Griega clone I LST'ed. I'm smoking an uncured Satori blunt right now it's not too bad. Big one too..... :)

Now that it's getting bigger, I see what the deal is with that GSC seedling. It doesn't have 4 cotylendons; the second twin was stuck to the underneath of the first and when the first grew up the second got snapped in half where the break is coming from the ground. Either the twin was joined at the head as well as the base, or some kind of natural graft took place with the weaker head underneath the stronger head because the second set of cotylendons got bigger and the center of it is growing a little. I still think it'll die off, but it should be cool looking if it lives. I expect to veg it at least an extra 2 weeks. Gotta go eat some chocolate footballs I know they call them eggs but they're pointed at both ends so I spiral them down the ol' gullet and yell "Touchdown!" :thumb:

hey I thought the peanut butter eggs were for me and my 2046.:)that's just great! now I am going to the store and buying all the avocados I can find. sardines too. if you eat all the Easter stuff I will need a head start on the cynco dimio :)

Cinco De Mayo is getting to be a pretty popular holiday but I know there's more to the culture than cool ranch tacos; I should look into it and see what to make for dinner that day since by then chocolate Easter bunnies will be extinct thanks to me and Medical Seeds 2046. :tokin:

Man my stomach feels like lead after about twenty of those footballs so I think I'm done with them for a bit.....
