1st Time Grow For My Beautiful Broken Brain

Hi folks, I thought I need to give myself a kick up the arse to get writing and keep my brain ticking.
Things are slowing down cognitively and my ability to read, write & process information seems to be getting worse.

Cue the rocky music for my brain ...

So it's been a tough week but I prioritised that my medicine needs to be made.

Having been using infused cannabis coconut oil and olive oil now for 2 months I can never go back.

This is just the start of my experimentation with infused oils which has been learned from the amazing fellow learners and teachers here on 420 magazine.

Below is a step by step guide for myself to refer back to and hopefully this will be of benefit to someone out there:

* 3 grams of Hash (unknown strains or profiles) places inside a sealed jar containing 200g organic olive oil.

* 3 grams of Hash (unknown strains or profiles) places inside a sealed jar containing 200g organic cold pressed coconut oil.

* 2 grams of Hash (unknown strains or profiles) places inside a sealed jar containing 200g grape seed oil.

I have decide to run grape seed oil this time too as I have really great results from using the olive oil topically with peppermint and tea tree essential oils.

I would definitely suggest to those fine folks out there that have the oil to rub a small amount into the sole of your foot/feet.
This resulted in symptom relief from migraine, muscle pain, cognitive issues within minutes.

Working all oils/cannabis ratios in grams makes things a lot easier to work out for me and I'm familiar with this from making my own soaps.

Gently heat up and melt the coconut oil so all jars are starting off in liquid form.

- Seal the jars tightly and place into a stovetop boiler with water, sitting on top of jar lids to keep off the bottom of the pot.

- shake the jars vigorously as frequently as I remember to.

- keep the boiling water level to the same height as the oil in the jars, it helps if you use 3 of the same sized jars ..

- shake jars vigorously each time you top up the water level with boiling water from the kettle so the temps stay nice and even.

- remove from the boiling water after 2hours 30mins

- allow to return to room temperature shaking the jars frequently, then refrigerate for 24 hours

420-magazine-mobile324787430.jpg

- preheat oven to 110 degrees Celsius, preheat the jars again in a stovetop water boiler, preheat rapeseed oil (canola) to 110 degrees Celsius in loaf tin.

Pre measure the amount of oil needed for the oil bath before preheat.

Fill to a level with the oil inside the jars, it's really important to use a large enough loaf tin that the oil is no more than 2/3rds full.
No scolding folks please be careful.

- decarbonise in the oil bath in the oven for 110 minutes or until no more tiny bubbles are seen.

Carefully give the jars a shake occasionally during this stage, being very careful to not get burned by the oil or the jars.

This batch ran to 2hours 15min for me as I was having a bit of a brain check out moment at the due removal time.

- remove & allow to return to room temp shaking frequently.

I will add the step of including liquid sunflower lethicine once I buy some.

- refrigerate for 24 hours shaking frequently.

- I have left the hash residue in the jars as I can only assume that continuous infusion will take place.

I don't mind the wee bits when I dose, usually 5ml of oil or teaspoon of coconut oil, 3 times a day and swish around my mouth until I have to swallow or when someone asks me a question .

Hope this is useful to anyone out there.

First doses of coconut oil have been doing the job for me today, tomorrow I will be medicating with the olive oil and the grape seed oil will be made into some topical balm and also for massage oil.

Love you all my 420 family .

WoW This is an awesome post right here. The Total list of How to is great and I Will try This someday.

Wel Done .

Greetings from Australia bro, how are things up in Scotland ? Hope you're in good spirits and better health !
You made the right choice with that LED. Pop the CFL's in that Tent too, the more light, the better, it will help you produce a great stock of meds. A carbon filter is a great asset, it has made my grow undetectable.
I have a smashed knee, nerve damage in my leg, issues with my hip as a result of limping for almost 6 years and PTSD and the host of joyful issues that brings. I am taking 9 different medications that could be replaced by a single flower, so its hardly a choice. Unfortunately supply is a big ussue where I am, so its grow it myself. I am 2 months into my first grow, I would love to help you with any information or tips I have learned from the good folk on this Forum.
If you have any questions, just ask mate. Good luck and I hope to see your plants flower in a few months time.

Looking forward to seeing everything put together. Not trying to rush you but let's get this grow show on the road...hahahaha. not literally, just sisterly...;)

Lol, we are so close now soul sista.

My new electricity distribution board and drum of cable arrived the other day .....

My next mission is to get up into the loft, remove some old disconnected wiring to make space to feed into the board and run a ring circuit that will supply my new Quiet Room.

Don't worry folks, everything I do takes a very long time nowadays.

Logical thinking and problem solving takes a tremendous amount of my energy, but this is the training that my brain needs.
Do something everyday to stimulate those neurons folks, train that brain .

I will be safety 1st in all my wee missions.

My genius friend will triple check what I've done and connect it all up for me.
Then it's seed dropping time folks.

I'm so excited about the future progress I will make with quality plant medicine being used in my oils and smoke material.

The anticipation is awesome, it's great to feel that again .

Hi WoundedKnee, welcome to my journal. .
Don't you just love how we can connect with people on the other side of our beautiful planet to help each other to heal.

It's going good over in Scotland bro. Autumn has kicked in, there's lots of beautiful colours on display in the woods and it's a wonderful season to get outside and appreciate.

I'm getting ready for my morning walk to my river and nature trail that's literally on my doorstep. ....☀️...

Thanks WK, the equipment was very much needed as I was trying to get things going as cheaply and simply as possible. I'm saving a few pennies up for the carbon filter fan kit which I hope to have soon ..

Sorry to hear about your health troubles mate, if I was living near you I would come and do some sports massage therapy for you to help realign everything for you.
If you know of someone near you I would highly recommend it WK.

Thanks so much for your very kind support and encouragement, it really means so much to me that there are amazing people out there that give their precious energy so freely to others that need it.

I absolutely love this place and each and every one of you wonderful healers and growers ..

I will definitely have lots of questions once my ladies start to grow .

Spread the love, joy and wonder at everything we experience and pay it forward folks.

Nice colours in autumn but it a bummer for sunshine which is what i need. The last couple of weeks have been pitiful for sunshine and with the way my balcony faces it only getting direct sunlight for approx 3 hours if i am lucky from around 3pm till 6pm (sunset). There is no way for me to get the extra light i need. I got a 15W LED which could be used but i dont think that will really help and now where to bring the plant inside to try and put that light on it. Plus the plant is a bit stinky.

I cut my super skunk down a couple of days ago and she is drying just now. Took some small buds off it yesterday and sped dried them (only thing to smoke). A little on the harsh side but that to be expected as it not dried properly or even cured for that matter. Smokes nice though and very potent. Cant wait till she is properly dry and cured.

Hi Glasgrow, yeh mate we've definitely not got much luck with sunshine here.

Just had a thought about maybe putting a couple of body length mirrors on your balcony to try to bounce some more light your plants way?
Then she could maybe stay outside that little bit longer.

Hopefully won't be long until I can pass some goodies your way when you run out bud ..

Have you got a herb vaporiser Glasgrow?
I'm thinking you should be able to use it before any drying process on your plant then it won't be as harsh, and more terpenes etc get into the system.

I totally forgot to message you bud about meeting up, so sorry man.
It's just my brain being a pain......
messaged you now .

Yeh mate, the patience will just enhance the smoke . enjoy buddy.

Mirrors wouldnt really help at all and there not much in the way of space to put them in. Have already decided on chop date - 23rd Nov. My batteries ran out on my pocket microscope so it difficult for me to see the trich's. From what i had seen recently most were cloudy with a few clear. Couldnt make out any amber apart from the odd 1 here and there so another 2+ weeks will see to that. Start flushing next thur but it will be a pain. Cold soil seems to retain moisture well.

Dont have a vape and never was too keen on the 1 i did try. Am leaving the skunk for a proper cure as now i got some fresh himalaya orange diesel which is drying, got it from a pal who couldnt be bothered trimming it. Also got a big bag of dry trim (over 5oz) and also got a big tub of hod trim drying and that looks like it could be 5oz+ as well. 10% return with bubble for that will see me a cool oz of bubble! Also for good measure he threw in some frazzled small buds of green crack. That was a good 26g.

Mate you've done a great job on the balcony considering our very changeable environment here.☀️.❄️..☔

I'm so glad your mate came through for your trim and gifts of bud. .
You can get some hash making happening now without having to rush the drying and cure process and let the rest of your goodies take there time to do their thing for you.

I'll be eagerly watching your journal for the end of November bud. It'll be great to see this lady off to the end results.

Do you use the bubble bags to make your hash Glasgrow?

...

I do use bubblebags. I originally got the original 1 gallon bags some years ago when i had some money. I accidently ripped my 25 micron(ų) scrren while scrapping some hash off it and finding a replacement was costly so i ended up getting a cheap set off amazon. Was an 8 bag 1 gallon set for around £25. It had the 190ų bag missing and an extra 25ų bag instead. When i contacted amazon or the seller to notify them of the mistake they refunded me £5 for the error as waiting for a replacement 190ų could have taken some time. The quality of those bags are not as good as bubbleman bags but they still do the job and i have spare bags in case i happen to rip anymore. I dont use the 90ų and 45ų bags, i just use 25ų, 73ų, 120ų and 160ų, the best stuff is in the 120ų and the 160ų can still get smoked or we make some edibles!
