I didn't think it would be able to strengthen itself up enough to keep it going.

Did you give your seedlings a tie up and support, just in case this is a pattern I'm staring lol .

It's kinda nerve racking, I really need to know I can produce my own medicine.

It's ok to mess up during this learning process I suppose, it's the only way to get the fine tuning down ..

I'll check the max and min temps tomorrow and let you all know how it's looking.

I'm still waiting for the other seedlings to pop their heads up, fingers crossed.

Ok so after a full day run it looks like the temps are way too low at the moment.
Current temp: 15.5 degrees c
Max temp: 17.8 degrees c
Min temp: 10.7 degrees c
RH: 64%

I added a 40w actual draw cfl and turned off the circulation fan.

I will post a report on the environmental changes (if any) later today folks when I can get myself into the loft.

Any ideas and advice is always welcome.

I have added from left to right on the left side group of 3:
White Widow reg, Medical Mass fem and above them a Blueberry fem.

So after a whole year of planning, learning, stumbling and wondering I'm starting this year off with a mission of medical freedom.

My tent is built in the loft, Viparspectar 450 is hung, I made a small hole in the boiler cupboard ceiling to feed a power extension to my existing live electrical circuits and today at some point I will hang my fans and filter.

These are the changes after the addition of the cfl and turning the fan off for a day.

Current temp: 13.8 deg c

Max temp: 17.8 deg c

Min temp: 12.2 deg c

RH: 58%

No change in upper temperature but we have gained a couple of degrees on the lower end.

Still not where I want things so I had to get my McGuiver head on.

I had the insulation blanket for my old water tank in a dusty corner of the loft so I duct taped it around the tent , making sure not to cover the intake vent.

Then I could only cover half so I've "borrowed" the insulation from my downstairs neighbour's tank. I also had a section that fitted perfectly on top of the tent with enough room to not cover the top vent hole.

It never gets below zero up there so I think it will be ok.
If we get some of these arctic temps a lot of you are experiencing I will make sure to wrap the neighbours tank again.

I also put my seed propagation box on the shelf on top of the cfl bulb.

Still no one popping their heads up to say hello yet, so Im keeping my fingers crossed that they will come soon now things are a bit warmer.

Further updates to follow after I've been up in the loft again today.

Great job covering those. That is the perfect house for them. When you have condensation like that then you're well on your way. Did you happen to put some droplets on the seed itself when you put them into the peat pellets?

You have gotten me through some rough patches and words can't describe how grateful I am that I know you and can call you my friend.

This is Medical Mass, isn't she just the best looking girl.
I can't describe the feeling of hope and sense of anticipation for my future from this 1 tiny seedling.

Kingston Rabbi, isn't it just perfect that this little lady has showed up 1st.
She knows I need that healing to get started.

And it also turns out I'm a bit of a numpty with my thermometer, I should be clearing the min/max reading from the last day.

Oh well, everyday is a school day lol .

It definitely felt a lot more cosy in the tent today though, I'll be updating again tomorrow folks.

I'm officially growing my own medicine now ...
 
You may need to help the shell husk off of the seedling. But congrats on the ground breaking update! Your up and running now .

How long before I transfer the plug to the pot do you recommend? Am I waiting for the tap root to show through the bottom?

I have another 40w cfl on top of her just now too and I've helped her take that hat off.

Out of all those plugs only one germ, did you raise temps on test to 75 to 85 degrees and. Keep humidity to 85 or above

Welcome to my journal, it's great to meet you ..

I think I've got the environment dialled in better now bignugz. It was too wet in there and the seeds couldn't breath.

I've also put another 6400k 40w cfl right on top of the propagation box as well as directly underneath.
Heat from below, light to chase up above and still nice levels of condensation inside.

My thermometer/hygrometer is in the tent in the loft so can't give you exact readings. This seed box is in the boiler cupboard.

Blueberry is looking like she will break surface by the end of tonight or tomorrow, so Glorious Tina will have some company ...

I'm thinking that there are raises in the plugs on White Widow too, keep those fingers crossed for me bignugz.

No sign of any movement on the hemp ruderalis seeds.
