1st Hydro - LED Grow With Crop King White Widow From Seed

My little bro can screw up a wet dream sometimes, but he could grow plants! He used to have plants well over 6' tall and this was in the 70s when you had to be ultra careful. He lived in a little ravine and actually grew them right behind the house. His may have been big, mine is much better genetics than what was available back then....mostly Mexican, Columbian, and sometimes Napa Valley or Hawaiin. We were wishing it was legal back then, still are!

 My little bro is not that bad. I love him but he still has not learned that it is polite to call first, even family. lol

Update 4 days into to Flower
As soon as lights on this morning I was in the tent. Good news is nothing bad seems to be going on. They are a bit bigger. Later I will break out the tape measure and get some info. I think I am at the 25 or 26" mark with the dominate tops. Almost brushing the sides of the tent. So pretty happy about that.
Overall I am very happy with my lights. The Advanced LEDs 350 XMLs are very good lights but the company overstates their footprint. I have 2 of them and they are supposed to provide 4.5' squared foot prints. My tent is 4 x 8, so they should be good to go. However, and you will see this in the pics, they are really only providing around 3' squared foot prints. I have ordered another light. I will be getting it early next week. This has been something I have been pondering for a while. I wanted to see what would happen in bloom and I am very happy for the growth in the middle of the foot prints but less than impressed with the margins. So adding in another light will give me a larger central foot print with overlapping margins.
If you look at PPP2 and 3 in the pics you will see that they are stunted when compared to the hogs next to them. Also the Tuts have another 2 square feet of grow space behind them but those tops are not growing fast because of the weaker light. I know this will affect not only yield but quality. I have been told and have read, that the nugs will not be as dense or oily because of the weaker light. So the extra light is needed to fix that. After 4 months of toil I do not want "airy" nugs that are not high in oils and trichs.
The clones are just sitting. They seem fine.
So here are some pics of the grow tent. I did not take any of the clones.

Looking very good bama! Those are some big plants, and they're only getting bigger. I'd say you're probably wise getting the extra light for that space, as it can only help you.

As for reps, you click the little sheriff's star at the bottom left of someone's post, and it will take to you a page where you can put any comments. At least that's the way I do it...

Update 5 days of Flower.
Ok so everything looks good in the tent. I added a gallon of water and will have to add another gallon or two this afternoon. They are thirsty. Yesterday I had to add 2 gallons. PPM and pH are 1130 and 5.8 so that is pretty good.
The growth has really been wow. I took a few more pics today to show what I mean by that. The WW1 is the tallest but PPP1 and 4 are not far behind. As well as WW1 and Tut2. I still have not gotten in there with a tape measure but I will. I am almost touching the sides of the tent in the WW side. Have about 3 inches total to go and that will be 4 foot wide. Still have about 5 inches on the Tut side. Also the WW are reaching behind them faster than the Tuts. The WW has about 5 more inches to go to touch the back of the tent. The Tuts still have 9 inches. I still think by next week they will be "wall to wall" in there. :) Of course that does not mean it will be thick and fully filled in. That will take some more time.
I feel like I am getting the flowering down a little better than I did the veg in the beginning. I would not say that I am dialed in by no means, just that I feel way more confident going forward. Of course that is not saying much considering from where I started. :)
The clones look like crap. Not all of them but most. There are little itty bitty root nubs on most of the stems. It kinda reminds me of teenage acne. I think I am probably a couple of days from being able to take a pic of it and post it. My phone does not take the best pics so we can just imagine the roots for right now. :)
Ok I tried to break the pics up into the different plants. There is overlap and the canopy is not very even, so it is hard to really break them out into indivdual shots. That is pretty much the biggest advantage that soil has over my RDWC system. They can move individual plants. :)
So first up are the Tuts.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Well went into the flower tent when lights came on. Nothing really dramatic going on in there. I did break out the tape measure and I added 2 gallons of water. The PPM was 1040 and the pH is 5.8. I added 50 mL of Calmag. I am not sure but I do not think that I had a whole lot of growth, in fact I think that maybe they slowed way down. Not sure why that would be except that I did switch to bloom nutes. I am thinking that maybe this weekend I will add the grow base nutes again. Not a lot but enough to raise the ppm's 150 -200.
The clones look really good. Yesterday when I posted the pic of them, I have to admit that I was thinking maybe cloning was not for me. I mean they looked like crap except for a few of the PPP. This morning, they all look really green again. I checked under the lid, and instead of teenie tiny little root bumps, they have much larger root bumps. Not on all of them but on half of them. I think everyone of the clones that are in there are going to make it. Even the Tut1 clone that looked like it had said F@@@ it yesterday, has perked up and looks like a really green mini copy of it's mother. The funny thing is the Tut1 still has the teenie tiny root bumps. I am going to include yesterday's pic and this morning's for a side by side. Serious this is only 24 hours difference. I guess I will have to start thinking about putting up the veg tent fairly soon.
I really want the veg tent to be the last tent that I put up. This has been a lot of fun and all but, you can start to lose your mind with this. I mean it went from one tent to 3 tents very quickly. Soon I will be juggling plants that are in all three phases of life. I am starting to feel like a farmer. :)

Anyway, here are the pics. I did not take any of the flower tent because well it is not much different than yesterday.

Update day 6 of 12/12
Well the most interesting update are the clones. I will start with the flower tent. It is pretty much the same. Last Friday they were 16" tall at the tallest and today the tallest is 32". So that is double in 7 days. Wow. The tallest are the WW's. I do not know what is holding back the PPP. They are doing well. I should have my new LED on Tuesday. I am very impatient about it getting here. I have a lot of hopes for that extra light.
I added another gallon this afternoon. I also added 30 mL of the grow nutes A/B. Maybe that was a mistake after second thought. But too late now. I have another 20" for them to grow to. After that I will be screwed. I will have to bend them down somehow if they grow that tall.

Now for the clones. Their roots really grew out today. This morning I could see them easy enough but now the camera can as well. I really regret pulling the second Tut1 clone now. It probably would have made it. Oh well. I hope you guys enjoy the pics. I will give the clones a few more days in the Clonex solution and then if the roots are long enough I will start adding grow nutes.
My RO filter will not be here until next Friday. That sucks. I am also very excited about getting that. I will be bottling water in the 5 gallon buckets and that sucks but having <5 ppm water will be awesome. Also getting a dehumidifier. I figured that the biggest risks to this grow are first me, then high RH. I can hopefully control myself and not screw up too much during flower. And the dehumidifier will take care of the RH. Also the dehumidifier can help dry out the harvest when the time comes. :)
So here are the root porn pics.

The clones do look a lot better ... see Patience.... Root enhance products would speed it up a little.

Things look really good bro... careful on the PPM's with all the cal/mag. Keep them in line. You have a big res so it really isnt as much of an issue with the amounts you add. But I know you add some as you go and it can force you into higher then desired levels. Be patient you have a rather large growth spurt about to happen. If the leaves etc all look good and things just slowed a little then just watch closely. They are adjusting to different schedule and it could be root popping or something. They look really good and I have a good feeling about it...
