If you can, I'd go with using a whole room rather than a closet. Good luck on the grow, and you're welcome to post your ideas/questions here if you want. This is still basically a research thread for the benefit of whoever reads it, not just my own, and I don't have much to report on my own grow anyway...
 
Finally.....

Checked trichs this morning right before lights out, and the SLH leaf had mostly ambers. I had checked 2 days before that and noticed an increase in ambers, but nothing like I saw this morning. So after I check some more at lights on, I'm flushing tonight. Probably will go 5-7 days to be sure. I ran across some untasty buds from last grow, which means I didn't flush it well.

It will be 14 weeks of flowering as of next Tuesday.

Ive read the leaves can turn before the buds....i havent chopped yet either (well one i wasnt happy with) im thinking a few more days , at least im seeing progress with the amber....

I checked a bud a few weeks ago and the mix was the same as the leaves, but I'll be checking buds and leaves when the lights come on. And I'm going with whichever of them turns first... I just need a sign and I'm flushing.

I've got practically every decent-sized branch on that sucker fallen over at some point and propped up with velcro tape now... It's like taking care of old people.

I hear you man, fruit has toppled everything on my end, its a mess but a good mess to have.....

checked out the local dro store today, seriously considering a big ole flood tray..
looked into those systems at all?

I've looked into just about everything by now I think... Was going to go with an Ebb n Gro, but I'm going to do the next one in the RF, but with enhancements like a chiller, Ice Box, and a better light. I need to get one grow in without heat stress so I can tell WTF I'm doing with the nutes, etc. Luckily, I'm not in a big hurry...

Are you planning to do a SOG in the flood tray? How big we talking about?
 
Question dunno if your comfy answering but are you in a MMJ friendly state? I am a tad nervous cuz i am not. The RF is the way to go I seen Stinkfinger grow in them and i think he got a QP off one plant alone. After my exp grow I am planning on getting a RF unit as well. If you can afford it I would get an LED light im deff getting two 180W from GLH

4x9 tray i believe with 2 1000w, yes SOG....Im also looking at ann ebb n gro system and turning it into dwc ....actually leaning toward going both methods at the same time....

I'm not in a MMJ-friendly state.

What influenced your decision to go LED for lighting? I've followed several threads here on LED grows, and didn't see anything I'd be interested in at this point.

Nice. You're going to get some weight using 2K watts. Hope you do some kind of journal on it.

I had to put off my flush until tonight, but that's not a problem. The stems collapsing is a problem though. I had to cut a colita from the Kandy Kush in order to splint the main cola, and there are more that need support.

I'm water-curing the colita, btw. Finally got around to doing the experiment... Should have a smoke report on that in a week or so.

that sucks man, total pain in the ass! interested to see how the cure turns for you, how many days in the water? Colita, is that a real term? lol...reminded me of mexico drinking cronitas back in the day, little 7 oz corona ...

smoked some uncured premature silver bubble this am (found out that cross is also called super silver haze by other breeders) and i must say im a happy camper, completely baked...

anywho im with u man, one 8 weeker hitting 12 weeks tomorrow and the other silver bubble is at 20 amber so another week or so which will put it at week 14 (sativa dom )

Have you seen the journals from Irishboy? There are a few others like LED-freak the plants these people have grown just look perfect. They are from a sponser on here Growledhydro or GLH Irishboy has done a 600W grow and is doing a 1080w grow. I just plan on using two 180W LED's in my veg tent it seems that the temps wont rise as much either with a LED light. Glad to see your chugging along even though ur state is not mmj:MoreNutes:

"Colita" is just a small cola, which is what most people call a bud. Good to hear about the Silver Bubble. Hope the genetics for that made it to the SLH too...

I'm going for 7 days in the water to cure, but will take my cues from the condition of the water every day when I change it. When it stays clear I'll start drying the stuff, probably putting a fan on it in the grow room. By then the flushed weed will be drying, so I shouldn't have any extra prep to do. Will certainly make a point of logging progress and smoke report on it.

hmmm, just changed my whole view on the Eagles tune, always thought the warm smell of colitas rising up through the air was an ass reference.Guess the weed makes more sense but im torn, nice ass or nice buds...toss up!

ok back to reality, so the water will actually get cloudy when its time to change the RO ?
 
when I first started growing in the late eighties never had any problems started with bag seed once I developed mothers took clones used 1000 watt lights some fans ebb and flo table4x8 gotta say yields were very inconsistent guess I got lucky now holy shit gotta worry about moulds fungi all kinds of bugs rootrot ph ppm or ec readings man its hard work to grow a sucssefull crop thats why my good bud has just built a fully automated system but he has no co2 going on he puts 48 clones at a time critical mass I just had the pleasure of one of his visits WOW should not have been such a pig that volcano vaporizer kills me every time wish I could afford his setup reps and peace to al
 
with all the bubbles and if your using hydrogen peroxide 35% food grade no I never had that problem when it starts getting stinky thats a build up of bactieria I think not sure but hydrogen peroxide prevents that you adding an extra oxygen molecule helping clean your res and keeping the roots healthy hope this helps reps
