That's what I meant, I should have worded it better.

I also use a separate "bucket" or what I called a "reservoir", 17 gallons to mix the nutes (and let the water sit out overnight). I just use a pump to transfer from the bucket to the rain-forest res.

Heh.. I was gonna say "Why didn't you tell me about this great idea earlier?!", but then I realized I've been getting a nice resistance workout every time I changed the res, so it's been beneficial... (But enough of that silliness. I'm a pumper from here on out.)

The pump worked great. Everything went smoothly.

Here are some pics from this morning:

The 2 tall ones are touching the glass on the reflector now. Doesn't seem to be bothering them in the least. It's not all that hot, though. I've come to the conclusion that what I thought was heat damage last grow was actually something else. I'm nearly certain it was out-of-range pH and nute deficiencies.

Funny about stabilizing the pH. Last night I went to bed and the pH was 5.88, 5 hours later it was 6.30. First thing I blamed were the new nutes. Might have been an anomaly, though. I'll see what shows up tonight at lights on, after dumping in about 20ml pH Down at lights off.

I'm using a 400W, seeing how many grams I can squeeze out of it again.

Im really sorry Im such a dummy Id like every one to see a rainforest 318 producing one of my best grows also using a 1000 watt hps 16 cinderella99 the speed they grow unbievable the quality man I gotta grow that again 1-1.5 oz per plant couldnt believe the smell,taste,or color kick ass herb too but what Im saying I cant build one so I purchased one and Im more than happy one day gonna try the 318 and the 90 watt ufo led together tried once before with bag seeds before I relized it I had 3 males polinate the females as they grew couldnt believe just how many there were they were just starting to bud but I said screw it pulled them now I bye feminized seeds

Hah, I was just about to reply and say that 1-1.5 oz per plant isn't so hot for the RainForest, but then I backed up and saw that you said you had SIXTEEN plants growing in it... That is an EXCELLENT haul from one RF.

I'll probably never try more than 3 at a time, myself though. That's why I'm going to get an Ebb & Gro...
 
16 plants, that would be a site to behold. Its been a long time since I used the GH 3 part but with Nova when you change you res the first couple days the ph likes to sky rocket for some reason. Tuff to keep it down.

It is an interesting strain. That was one that I harvested in Jan/Feb, and I think I only have about an ounce left. It's a pretty economical smoke; doesn't take a real big bowlful.

No, all I've done is move the Rainforest and light to put them at the edges of the reflector. I'll pull them back away from the light to let them grow past it if they want, but I'm not going to do any cutting, and those main stems don't look like they'd bend over all that well. Still no visible damage showing. I can hold my hand against the glass without burning it, so thank heavens for the cooling at least.

I'm surprised you can still type with those sore sticky fingers... :grinjoint: I know you're going to be "out of pocket" in a couple of weeks when the curing has progressed a bit.
 
Had a scare when I got up this morning - the electricity was off. All that knocking on wood the last year finally lost its mojo. This neighborhood infrastructure sucks.

So, they couldn't tell me when it'd be fixed, but they did tell me about when it went down, and it was 30 min before lights off, so maybe not too much was hurt. Came back on after an hour and 15 minutes to my utter relief... I was seeing visions of algae, root rot, powdery mildew, and mutated thrips... Not to mention I'd filled my freezer a few days ago.

So I didn't get to take a look before lights out today, didn't want to turn on any lights after the electricity came on. We'll see what unfolds tonight. Plus, I'm really excited about thunderstorm season coming up... the transformer on my block always does a salute to spring by blowing up during the first bad wind.
 
Everything's just going too smoothly. I'm starting to get nervous...

Here are some pics from 3 days ago. Will get some new ones up today or tomorrow, but just about all that's going on is bud and trich growth, and that's not all that dramatic from day to day. Been SO lucky with temps this whole grow - if it holds up another month this will have been a breeze.

The SLH on the right is finally slowing its vertical growth I think. So the top cola tip is a couple of inches above the light. The Blueberry on the left stopped going vertical a few weeks ago.

Have you cloned yet in the 318? I just ordered the lid kit for it. I will be starting 14 seeds in it. Way pumped on that but was curious if you use hydroton during the cloning process. I see that you can do five clones in each one. Can't wait to get all the my seeds started in the RF.
