Thanks, I put 2.5 gallons through it, hope it makes a difference. Time to really start babying these ladies. I have been kinda rough on them.

Something I was thinking about. I put the a layer of sand on the soil. I have heard this to be a good deterrent from pest from a few sources, most very reputable. But i can't help to wonder how the soil gets oxygen if the sand is on there. Anybody have a clue?

I have a pet theory on air in dirt. As the soil or whatever dries, air is pulled down in there to replace the water. The important thing is root health in microbiotic aerobic harmony. Smells good. Anaerobic chaos stinks, with slimey nasty sorry dead roots.

Unfortunately, I have no test kit. I have a soil PH kit and it is spot on at 6.5.
I made a measuring blunder with some GoGnats which is a cedar oil. I added 2 tablespoons to 5 gallons it's suppose to be .9 milliliter to a gallon. Also I gave big bloom for the first time and might have overdone it. Thanks for the quick help.

Stully, We mixed our soils up last night, ~1/3 ProMix(85% spaghnum moss) and ~2/3 Fox Farms Ocean Forest plus a couple small handfuls of worm castings. Mixed it all up in a huge plastic storage container which we sterilized before hand. I notice the FF is a bit heavier than the Pro Mix. It will tend to hold water a bit longer than straight Pro Mix, and it also has more nutrients in it. For future needs, you might want to use 1/2 to 1/3 mix instead of what the label calls for. Just to give them a chance to adapt to the new foods and the new digs. We also used the pea gravel and landscape fabric last night when we transplanted. Helps to keep the soil in and when it comes time to empty after harvest, you can seperate out the pea gravel, wash it, and re-use it. Good luck bro. I will keep checking in.

So my timer musta welded itself up today, I guess I may as well run 24/0 I don't think it will hurt. Maybe give them the boost they need. I am shooting to go to 12/12 by the end of the month. Kim is getting a little unruly. I got her tied down, but she is just a beast. I am contemplating going to 12/12 sooner just to sex and make some room, I guess I could revert back if need be, but I prolly will not switch until the end of the end of the month. I don't wanna add any stress. Also, I am gonna build a small experimental hydro system. Just a DWC system maybe two 5 gallon buckets, maybe as much as six. i am gonna grab some clones before I switch to 12/12 and put them in hydro. Just a learning experience. Also, I got plans for a new cab so I can have a little perpetual thing going on. The veg cab willbe much smaller then my current cab and will prolly be all flouro. Maybe a MH, but highly doubt it. Prolly will not be made of wood. Maybe pvc ans some type of fabric. Might even get a small grow tent, but I have a problem buying anything that I can build myself. Got a few pics not too many, but it's something.

I am thinking about putting Kim to flower. Being as I only have one chamber, I am thinking of putting a black bag over her. Not sure if this is a good idea or not, but I need to make some room.

I got an aquarium PH tester tonight. Th PH of my tap is like 7.8, but the solution Grow Big, big Bloom and superthrive is like 6.6. Can I use PH down for aquariums? It is alot cheaper. I guess I only need to use it the days I don't feed.

Well I heard it takes more pH up/down for fish than it does with hydro pH up/down. run like a test gallon, before using it on your plants see if you can drop it down to around 6-6.3, good luck!

So I'm starting to get a little concerned about my sand soil topping. I went against my instinct an added the sand, and now it seems like it is taking forever for the soil to dry out. I guess it could be a combination of the new lower temps(now completely under control) and the soil cover. might be thinking just a tad too much. I cut some of the nasty twisted growth off and am starting to see some new growth coming. So that's a good sign. I really don't have a whole lot left to update. Still considering putting a bag over Kim for 12 hours a day(and possibly Jan as well) at least to sex them. I'm gonna start my clone room and if they are in fact ladies, I can pull some clones. They are very easy, hardy plants and if they are female, I would love to have more. If not, no reason to exhaust any more resources on them.

I know, I know, I have had a long love affair with MJ and I don't want to treat it bad, I kinda started this as a small business venture and I'm just a little worried. But I'm gonna lay back and relax and let them do their thing. Thanks for bringing me back to the real world. I can always count on you to give it to me straight.

i stayed away from the cab for most of the night, got a little insomnia so I went out and checked on them. They are really showing improvement, I noticed new growth on all plants. I moved a few of them aroung to give them a new angle on the light. I played with my light meter and the height of the light and got a pretty good spot for all plants to benefit pretty evenly. The soil is starting to dry a little bit, but not a whole lot. It might end up being 4-5 days between watering, which is fine by me. i took some pictures, but can't really put them up right now. I got to get to bed. I even relaxed a little and watched Ironman. Kicked ass by the way. Check it out definitely. Still got to see the new X-men movie. I might try to mess around a little bit tomorrow and give a little foliar feeding on the bigger plants. other then that I got to get going on my clone machine. Got to get it up in the next few weeks. I'll post pics tomorrow.
