1st Grow Bomb Bagweed

I know the Mylar looks shitty, but that stuff is a pain in the ass.

Did you roll it out from sideways? If so, next time, try taping one end of the mylar roll to the top corner of a wall and just roll it down, just like wallpaper. Horizontally, you need an extra pair of hands to get it in smoothly as you may have discovered.

I did it like you described, but I had a hard time because of the studs. Before I realized I could just drape it and tape it, I was trying to go around the studs and be fancy. I should have just kept it siple. Oh well, I still got like 50'. Does mylar give off hot spots?
Quick update the temps are still pretty much the same. But, what are you gonna do when its hot out. I still have like 20' of 6" duct and another 6" inlne booster. I might try to run some air in from the a/c upstairs or from the outside. The plants are looking great though. It seems like they put an inch or 2 in the last day (well since they got a nice dose of grow big). Even the sick looking plant is showing new growth. i feel alot better now that the plants are in the garage though. I think I might have to get real serious about pest prevention though. I can open the garage door to allow fresh air into the area, but I do not want to introduce pests.

So I made a complete beginner mistake today. I was wondering why the temps were not cooler so I started looking back over my plans and realized that I forgot to add a passive intake. I planned for it, but when push came to shove, I forgot. Now I'm in there at 10 at night with the sawzaw and believe it or not the temps dropped 5 degrees in 10 minutes. So thats a relief. Oh and by the war, these air cooled hood are the shit. You can put them bad boys right down there on em. I think I'm like 10 inches from the tops. The plants literally exploded in the 5 hours in the new cab. Or maybe it's just me hoping. But no they do look great.

Your inline fan will thank you with lower noise and longer life. I didn't see an intake and was going to mention it earlier. Put some pantyhose or a filter on the intake for your bug concerns.

Going to the hydro shop tomorrow. Gonna get neem oil and some gnatrol. Also I am gonna get some expanding foam and sponge tape and i am gonna make this thing a freakin vacuum. I hate freakin gnats. I had them before and got them out with sand on the top of soil, but it really screws you, if you got to transplant. I guess some sand in the soil after transplant won't hurt, but i just don't like to see my rootball all sandy. Just a personal pref I guess. But then again it did get rid of the gnats like right now.

stully my brotha!
Good looking progress bro! You are doing a great job man!
Heat can be a bitch to deal with, are you running the lights at night and letting them sleep during the day?
That alone dropped my temps by nearly 8 degrees when lights on.
Something to think about for sure.
Great job bro! and thanks for stopping by my journal mah man! much appreciated!
Oh yeah and plus reps for you brother man!

Allright, quick update. I came to a conclusion today, no more indoor Summer grows for me. The temp issue is so damn stressfull. I am going to finish this grow and hopefully have two more before next summer. By the way, sneak peak. Stully's 2nd grow Pineapple Express vertical veg, horizontal flower 5 gallon grow bag. Should be fun. Planning on vegging until about 20-30" and then laying them over to flower. Should be fun to watch. I figure 2-4 plants. Just a sneak peak into my brain. As for the current grow, I went to the hydro shop today I got a product called GoGnats whickthe main ingredient is cedar oil. Smells great, works pretty good. The guy at the shop said it was for for soil applications, but I got home and there were no directions for direct watering use as the clerk said, so I mixed it in a spray bottle and let the plants have it. Funny thing is, I saw all types of gnats last night, but when I went to kill them today, there were very little and those I did see, were not anywhere near the soil. So hopefully they will not be a problem. I fed today with grow big and big bloom and a little superthrive. Last time I fed, I musta splashed a few leaves, I got a few small yellow spots. Nothing serious. The plants are all growing great. Dealing with the heat and humidity better then I am. I plan on adding more ventilation tomorrow on my well deserved day off. Also scrog is coming!!! Gonna get some furring strips tomorrow or next week sometime. Might not use it on this grow, but want to build it nonetheless. Might use it, give me some feedback we can decide together. Also got some transplanting to do in the next couple of days. And I am all over craigslist looking for some cheap ac window units and a dehumidifier. Ever since, the move to the cab, my humidity is up. Should be ok to veg, but don't want to flower with this type of humidity. Gonna start getting my clone chamber together, I'm gonna try to get as many magic crystal clones as possible. Other then that, nothing is really new.

Got bored so I went out to the cab and tied some of the ladies down yeah a little lst session.

Hey gator man it was only a few hours before I realized my mistake. LOL I guess I got lucky huh. I would have been furious if I burnt the fan up. Check this out for energy. Today I am buying a window ac unit for the cab, so I got to tear the mylar down on on or two walls and frame up for the ac. Also I am thinking about putting that pink insulation board up to help keep the cool air in. So I got alot of work today, you can come help, the smokes on me.LOL Just transplanted 4 plants this morning, ran out of FF got one more to transplant. Got to pick some up tomorrow after work. The GoGnats seems to be working, there are really no gnats at soil level. There are some flying around, but they can't really do anything. As long as I keep new eggs from being laid, they will die off soon. I'm gonna catch a praying mantis or "PREYING" as I like to call them. I think that would be cool to have in the room. Maybe I'll name him gator.

Couple times preying mantis come around. Wish they wouldn't because my cat messes them up. Don't matter what I say, I turn my back and he does what he wants. Way worse than kids, but he's so proud with some new dead thing in his mouth.
Insulation 'board' ain't no fun, if it was the blanket 'itch' I'd be there on the run. As you tame this wooden box, dream about a shipping container. Oh yeah baby, gettin up on the big job!
