I move mine around and flip them so the buds break away from each other. Kind of fluffing them.

I trimmed that one up for the pics. Hoping most of the work is done for me by the time they dry well.man that is a fat bud. nice. Are you hand trimming?
Thanks Wookie. I hope so!Nice buds and pics MrM!
I bet you get 6 to 7oz dry out of that.
Thanks Amy! I don’t think I have the gear to take a really quality photo. Not enough to win the contest. I tried to get one like yours of the bud washing but it was so blurry. LolGorgeous bud Magoo - and phat!
Re the photo contest - Tedday actually posted a comment a couple of months ago saying pics of buds in teh hand almost never make the grade, or somethign like that. Not saying it isn’t worth entering it, it’s a beaut! And many folks will love it so totally worth the share (and what the comp is about for me ).But there were better photos (as photography) during your grow I reckon - the sea of colas comes to mind. Once it’s cured it’s a nug of the month contender for sure!
I believe the bud washing one was yours....or was it lady g’s?Gorgeous bud Magoo - and phat!

Looks decent brotha congratsParty Girl is definitely not gonna yield what Smurfette will. Party Girl came out the soil with the most vigor and held onto that through the majority of veg until Smurfette finally passed her. Party Girl had more tops but was significantly shorter that Smurfette. Party Girl had the lean going on from day 1. Not sure if this is ultimately what hurt her in the comparison. But the initial wet weight of Smurfette was somewhere around 570 grams while the initial wet weight of Party Girls sits at 355 grams! Here are a few pics of the biggest bud off of Smurfette. Not the longest but the heaviest for sure.
Thanks Kingjoe83! Appreciate it brother!Looks decent brotha congrats
With only harvesting the half that was ready, did you notice an increase in yield on what was left?
I rarely chop an entire plant at once. I'll take the top colas first when they are cloudy then let the rest reach cloudy. They put on more weight most definitely. All that energy that was going to the tops gets rerouted to the next layer of the canopy. It really tends to be a space or time restraint if i take a whole one down. I sometimes do 3 or 4 chops on one plant if i have time to baby the harvest that much.Curious to know the answer as well. I also read that giving more time by harvesting partially allow small buds to mature but isn't directly linked to increase of yield
Great input there Kis. Thanks so much!Looking great Magoo. You will be smoking the fruits of your labor soon .

When do you combine your chops...just during the cure in the jar or do you just do individual batches?Looking great Magoo. You will be smoking the fruits of your labor soon .

Depends on how far apart the chops are. I did combine my last one i took down because they were only a few days apart and the first chop got a bit too dry. But usually they get jarred up individually per culling. When do you combine your chops...just during the cure in the jar or do you just do individual batches?
