1st Grow: Blue Dream

It’s Cobbin Time

Ok. So been drying these buds in the fridge and pulling them out each day for a bit for about a week now. Got about 28g of plant material here.
Removed a few stems and rolled the buds in a sushi rolling mat. Left out 4 small buds rolled into little balls (canna berries) as part of an experiment with @Oldbear . Then I wrapped the plant material in the 2 corn husks and tied it up with some hemp cord.

The canna berries weigh 4, 4, 3, 2 tenths of a gram now. We want to see how a single serving size ball will ferment and also see how much mass is lost so we can have a better idea of how big to make the berries to end up with a single dose.

Next they all go in the vacuum sealed bag and into the cob-a-tron for 24 hrs at 104 F.

Woah hey now THIS is interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does this method youre carrying out have anything to do with how thai stick was made? How youre rolling them up reminds me of what oldies have told me Thai Stick used to be like!!
I’ve heard of comparisons but I’m not sure. This is akin to Malawi style fermentation. Here is a link to a great thread exploring this method. Tangwena’s Malawi Style Cob Cure - Fermented Cannabis

Thanks so much Sara! How u been?
Not bad, well, indoor season now, we are pretty busy. :p BTW, welcome to hang out with me in my thread sometime. ;);)

Is it the mars-hydro discussion thread in your signature? If so I’m subbed now.

thanks for the cob photos, what si the controller on your cob a tron?

see, I just look at that one ounce of bliss and think it should be a big blunt.

Interesting experiment with the single serving. Will a portion that small even work interests me.

I read of people starting with .2 grams all the way up to .7. I was just thinking if you could get an end product around .2 or .25 then you could dose from there. I’m kinda more curious to see how much weight is lost on those small pieces.

Hi bro. Do you have final weight? Bud pics?
No I don’t. The ones in the fridge still got a week to dry plus party girl still has half a plant in the tent. Should take her down today though. So it will be a couple weeks before a final weight.

Don't hesitate to take pics :)

With only harvesting the half that was ready, did you notice an increase in yield on what was left?

Curious to know the answer as well. I also read that giving more time by harvesting partially allow small buds to mature but isn't directly linked to increase of yield
