1080w LED Inferno

Congrats on finding a solution to the heat.... Those plants are getting more dense by the day, very nice job....

hey whats up irish everything lookin good man does anyone know a good way to decrease humidity in a sealed room without dehumidifier? mine is around 55 to 65%?

hey irish your plants are looking good that light really keeps them stacked.
i must have missed the pages where you solved your deficiency issues.:smokin: Man this journal moves so fast i feel like the guy in the theater that gets the half gallon of soda and has to piss like 5 times. im totaly lost every time i come back. lol did it turn out to be a mag issue like you had though?
Also thanx to you and everybody else about the 411 on swamp coolers didnt even know they existed till this journal. im gonna have to add that to the budget for my next set up. but for this summer im gonna have to stick with frozen water jugs and a my window fan from the last grow. :rasta:
ya it was mag and PH. i was getting PH flexing after i had everything adjusted

I want to share a tip on the GH maxibloom dry nutes -

I bought a fine mesh filter about 6" in diameter, and I pour the dry nutes in that while holding it just at the surface of the water in a five gallon bucket. I can grind up the big pieces of dry with my thumbs real easy that way, and let them all dissolve through the screen so you don't have to mix it forever to be sure it's all been dissolved.
thanks :thumb:
The plants are looking fabulous Irish! Very happy to see changing the pH solved the problem. And, good job getting the temps under control. Your environment is about as nice as any grower could hope for and the plants show it. Great work!
thanks brother!
Irish, the plants look like they pulled through good. I would suggest you make sure you have enough warrenty throughout July however cause it ain't even hot yet. Might have to go back to that bigger swamp cooler. You can always turn a bigger unit down but a smaller unit only has so much ass/oomph. Just my 2 cents...I'm Mr. overkill anyway LOL. Good job on the rebound, what fixed the plants? As said earlier it's hard to keep up. .V.
tell me about it! its gonna get hot latter on.
i was thinking that the bigger units do more harm then good, what was happening with me was my swamp cooler was 650cfm and my exhaust fan is around 300cfm, so i creating more (RH) in the air then i could exhaust out. so bigger isn't better in this case.

i fixed my problem by giving them a good flush with H2O2 and cal/mag+ and water PH of 6.0

Irish.... Could you by chance put up a link to the new smaller swamp cooler...

Thanks bro...

Girls R looking sweet.. :thumb:

i couldnt find any info on the web but the company is Feature Comforts i got mine at Lowe's.

I have to wait until it gets hot to really test it out. its only been in the mid 80's

Good ventilation. thats the only way i know without a dehumidifier

:rocker: Nice Yah I think the other units pads added way to much rh.The reason I purchased this one was It was intended just for my mini garden.Plants are looking good.Well I know you know your stuff so of course they are going to look good, no doubt in that.Glad you got your cooling squared cant wait to see what these babies produce
:peacetwo:

ya its was putting in more RH then i could pull out threw the fans and we know the more RH the less cooler the swamp coolers do. once its hot ill put it to the test. either way ill still have heat issues but it will be better then it would. so instead of 110F* ill be at 95-100F*. still how no matter what but better.

i cant wait to see what 1080w of led is gonna do also?

I just put some water in a jug and threw the mix in their and shake it real good and dumped it into my res. works good. although since i am lazy i will buy a cheap $10 blender and throw them in their and turn it on, that should mix things better then anything.lol

I can tell you i am already in love with these dry nutes, it took less then a min to add the nutes. allot easier and less time then the 3 part. I talked to GH and asked them whats the differences between the flora and maxi, and he told me well it depends if you want to buy water and have us do the mixing for you. WTF? cut out the middle man and save some money. he told me its the same stuff thats in the 3 part basically

The blender is a great idea!

I had my suspicions about the differences... I guess you can "customize" the three part easier, but I think I read somewhere how to use the other dry stuff they sell if you want to mimic lucas. Personally, I don't mind a bit of N.

Thanks for calling GH - that's great info, I'd rep you again if I could! Oh, wait, want some 420 points... :) take em all!

ya i am gonna do the blender thing for sure. this is what i found out with mixing these nutes. they take 10-20min to break down all the way. put in a jug shake it, then let it sit for 10min and all the white salt looking stuff will be almost gone at the bottom shake again and let sit some more and it will be all gone and totally mixed. the blender will have things mixed all the way within seconds

the Maxi is a dry Lucas formula. to be 100% on the dot its 7grams per gal. but 1tsp is very close to the Lucas also. most others just use the bloom all the way threw, but i wouldn't mine using the veg for veg and the flower for flowering, it breaks down to the same cost either way i would think? they both cost the same and now ur bloom will last longer. seems like it will balance out at the end. either way i am now saving big $$ not using the 3 part.

I love the 3 part and how you can adjust things to suite your needs but i hat mixing all those things and measuring 3 different times. I honestly think if you find the sweet measurement on the Maxi you would need to adjust or change anything. plus i dont water to pay for GH water. now i can leave town and fill up a big res and it still wont cost me hardly anything on nutes.

i did notice the Maxi drops ur PH way down. i mixed my tap water with PH around 7.8 and added my silica and H2O2 and the PH was around 9.0 added the maxi and the PH is at 6.6

Thanks for the credits brother.:thumb:

That is super interesting about the differences between the flora and maxi. Don't use them but if I did I would use the Dry all day long... Thats probably how they start out making the liquid anyway. Nice info

basically thats what GH said when i called the other day.

A long time ago i called them about the maxi and the sales guys said it wasn't good for indoors it more for out door plants and the 3 part was better, then i thought about it and it was a sales rep just trying to get more money, he also tried to tell me i need all their additives to do a good grow. so he was just doing his job on sales trying to make the company money. but this last guy seemed straight up and told me its the same as the 3 part just constrated dry forum

Hey Irish, how are those digital RH meters doing? I got my analog ones in today and my last crop is showing right at 58% in the jar. Where are your's at right now? .V.

Any idea as to how many times carbon can be reactivated? Might keep me from buying more too soon and what temp should I set my oven at? Too lazy to do my own research and thought you might know. Thanks .V.

Think for the carbon as a sponge. By heating it, you can release the moisture and some of the odor molecules that are trapped in the pores. Hotter ovens will be more effective but you will need a low humidity room where the carbon can cool or just let your oven cool down slowly with the carbon still in it. You can repeat this process but there will be more and more molecules that do not liberate from the heat so it will become less effective each time.

If you can get the carbon at a decent price, it is often much better to just replace the carbon.

If the room's temp drops below freezing, you will have no issue with humidity! ;)

You can only move the moisture around but you can't make it disappear and whatever method is used, it will take energy to accomplish the task.

Solid! Thanks Bro, that's exactly where I'm at right now... 58/60%. This growing shit just gets better and better don't it??:)

your in the good range. 65% and above should be left open until you can get it 65% and below. the lower the RH% the less you have to open them. once you hit around 60% just open them for a few min once a week. just make sure your RH meter is accurate

thats good info. although i couldn't fit my filter in my oven its pretty big. when it comes to filter i dont mess around and rather just spend the money and get a brand new one and not have the drama if the smell got out. even though i am 100% legal i still dont tell anyone and try to keep it on the down low as much as i can.

I have some friends that like to brag allot about their crops and they wonder why the get robed so much? dont tell anyone!

Tell them to do a Google search for "Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection."

yeah, don't throw in an entire air filter into the oven! That could end badly. My filter is home made and it allows me to empty and refill the carbon. I got a 55 pound bag of activated carbon which should be enough for about 8 filters and it cost about $60. I just cannot afford the pre-made filters myself.
