Zurple's DWC Bag Seed Grow Journal, 2019

I've decided to only top feed once a day to try to force them to root into their buckets.

My new seedling that replaced plant 3 is almost showing through it's starter block.

Now we wait....

Did you mind to not plug it in straight away lol.
I didn't learn my lesson from the original 3. lol
I don't have a starter tray and additional light for it. Ordered one today since I have an order from seedsman coming.

Maybe just a small cup and a cfl bulb?

Maybe I should have started with soil for my first grow, but I'm learning a lot, so it's all good.

I appreciate the help from this community.
Nah hydros a doddle mate. The first 2 weeks are the hardest but it's the same 2 weeks in any media. Root riots in a humidity box is the easiest way to get them through the danger zone imo.
Don't let em dry and don't drown em.
Once theye rooted up it's smooth sailing all the way if you stick roughly to the rules.

Hopefully when I get home, I'll have some good news to report.

Dropped this seed directly in the rapid rooter on Sunday evening.

Just an update:

Temp/Humidity: Room is 72, tent is 74 & water is 70. Humidity is 60%
I have water ph at 6.0 and still 250ppm

Plant 1 now has 1 root touching the water!!!!! Finally. Now I should see it take off.
Plant 2 is still a lot smaller than plant 1, even though they're the same age and type. She isn't pretty either.
Plant 3 is a seedling i dropped in last Sunday and it's already taller than the original 2 plants. Different strain, Biscotti?

I am pretty pleased where I am with them, and enjoying growing as a hobby. My temps have been right where I want them. The buckets have the original water from when we started, so I have 3 buckets ready to swap out this weekend.

My plan with the water change is to add Hydroguard, even though my water temps have stayed around 70 degrees without a chiller. With fall coming, I will be able to complete this grow without the addition of a portable AC unit. I still plan on adding the AC unit eventually.

I am going to add nutes to the new buckets at 1/4 the recommended dosage. I will ph the water to 5.7 and let it creep up to 6.1 or so on it's own. If it goes over that, I will bring it back to 5.8. That's the plan unless you guys suggest otherwise?

I will post updated pictures tomorrow after the water change. I apologize that my grow log is a little boring at the moment, but things should pick up after all of them are past their seedling stage.

I know my grow has been lackluster, but now we have tap roots into their water buckets, so now it's on. This should be my most detailed update and I will try to do better as we go/grow. I am going to do their first water change from the original water I started with. The info on the pictures are from this morning.

Plants 1 and 2 were placed into their dwc buckets on 8/1.
Plant 3's seed was dropped directly into the dwc bucket on 8/4 and was the quickest to have a tap root into the water!

Do they look ready for more nutes/ppm?
Should I go by ppm or tds, my bluelab device measures both?
Should I drop the lights down, or do they look fine with it where it's at (30")?
I am going to do the change over tomorrow morning as I want to do my changes on Sundays.
I think the burn spots on the first 2, especially plant 2, was where I splashed water on them when I was top feeding.
