Zurple's DWC Bag Seed Grow Journal, 2019

I’m so sorry you lost that plant. I pop seeds off all the time and never lost a plant, I’m so sorry, I feel guilty.

Yes if that’s what you want to do, you can absolutely do that. Everyone has techniques hey use and it’s up to you to figure out yours.

I like dropping mine in water for 24 hours, then into paper towel for 24 hours, that way I can see what cracked and what sprouted. Saves on plugs, as some may not sprout, then you just throw them out. In paper towel if I see one didn’t sprout, I just throw it out, no biggie. :thumb:

Oh, it's not your fault at all. I was going to do it before you suggested it. I'm only trying to end up with 2 females for this first grow, so I'm not too concerned with a loss of 1 troubled seed.

Room Temp: 72
Tent Temp: 75 / 60% humidity
Water Temp: 72
PPM: 250
PH: 5.9
Light: 425w 30"

How does this look, are they stretching or do you see anything odd?
My concern is that I don't show any roots under the baskets yet.

Hopefully mr.hippie can set you straight. I saw your other post so, directed him to your journal.

Everything looks fine to me, I would say give roots time, some times it takes a pretty long time to get roots started. I don’t know dwc grows so I am recruiting some help

I think they look fine, they are only a week old, just in my own opinion, maybe they should have spent more time in a seedling tray until they outgrew the rapid rooters, say a week or 2 then added to the netpot.
That way you can water them by spraying the RR directly.
Maybe hand water these as they are until the feeder root start searching downwards for water.

If you’re not feeding yet start giving a 1/4 strength feed. It looks fine to me. Cotyledon leaves are turn yellow which means it’s running out of food. Keep your water level within a couple inches of the bottom of your net pot. The roots will eventually hit the water and growth will explode.

I give them a syringe full of water in the morning and again at night.
I agree I should have waited, but I needed to get everything contained in the tent for discretion.
Next grow will be different because I won't be so damn anxious. lol

Awesome, thanks. I'm going to give them a water change this weekend and up their nutes per your suggestion.

Bingo mate. Exactly what I was gonna say. 2 weeks under a seedling light. Spray them with a bottle untill they look something like that.
Roots should be a lot longer but I'm a mong and forgot to cover them this time.
If it's just the root riot then it takes about 7 days to get them absolutely rockin. Few dozen massive tap roots that will be able to touch the water if you use a humidity dome and keep em sweet.
