Xlr8's Quest For The Best - 2012

Hello my lovely friend Xlr8 :ciao:

I am definitely looking forward to seeing these my darling, I am always so in awe of your plants :adore:

Big fluffy hugs and lots of love

:hugs:

Hi my dear Fluffster! I've been thinking about you and missing your presence. I'm behind and haven't commented yet in your journal recently, but I did get caught up a bit as of last night late. Sounds like you are re-discovering the unplugged world... good for you!! :bravo:

It made me smile to see that you had some new creative energies stirred and a willingness to rediscover some things you've been away from for a bit in the unplugged world. :) I was sorry to hear that your arm is bothering you so much when typing still - I hope that gets better for you. Chronic pain is such a tough burdensome thing to deal with, huh? I have similar issues as far as spending too much time online aggravating pain. Sometimes I need to be away or just lurk for a couple of days (or just lighten up time spent) because the screen-time and body positioning aren't good for my pain. Sometimes the only way I can be somewhat comfortable is to lay down on my tummy without elevating my head much. Just try typing like that, haha!

Thank you for the fluffy hugs and the nice compliment - and for visiting and posting, soreness and all. Right back 'atcha! :hugs:

Update - 56 days bloom (8 weeks since photo-period reduction):

Sigh. I screwed up and left the flash on my camera last night taking pictures. Which, combined with the yellowish tint of the HPS lights, made a white-balance nightmare. None of the pics turned out well, but I've been promising pics, so I'll post a couple of the marginally better ones, and make a better effort tonight or tomorrow morning. I'd like to get some really nice ones before I end up chopping them up and removing them.

The Deadhead Ripper is definitely coming down soon. I think you'll be able to tell in these pics that she's close. I'm not as sure on the other 2 plants, which might need to stay in bloom a bit longer before coming down. For now, I have them all on a bit of a diet as I'll need to pull the Deadhead Ripper soon. I also need to decide how the heck I want to go as far as flushing if I leave the OG Ripper to go longer, but I can always pull it off the system and hand water/flood/flush for a few days while leaving the others attached to the system, etc...

I will endeavor to get more pics of the other plants, and better pictures in general as soon as I can! I think these give at least a sense of just how frosty this Deadhead Ripper is:

:thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake:are you frikkin' kidding me?!?!

rekon you got a few more weeks till she's ready by the look of your pics.
that is unless the flash thing gets fixed:)

Hey X
Yeah, I think I got a sense of it..:trance:
How come everything you touch seems to frost over??
That bud is going to be so potent, you can just tell by looking at that photo.
Harvest looks to be right around the corner for you my friend! At least for the Deadhead Ripper.
If you ever come up with some seeds for that Deadhead OG, I'd do anything for just one..
reps if it lets me!!

Picture update - 57 days flowering (8 weeks, 1 day):

Okay, these are the pics that are a bit more like what I was aiming for... I didn't manage to get any good pics of Jack the Ripper this time (it's tough sometimes due to positioning), but I think I got some decent ones of the OG Ripper and Deadhead Ripper crosses.

Both plants are taking on a slight amount of color near the end here - especially the OG Ripper. They both smell divine! Lemonade still comes to mind on the OG Ripper...

I've sampled the Deadhead Ripper quite a little now, and so far it seems pretty true to the "Lucy" taste/smell that I really like. The JTR influence added a bit of lemon and sandlewood flavor to the chem/fuel taste of the Deadhead which really was what Deadhead was missing for me. The cross now has a much more complex and interesting flavor than the Chemdawg/Deadhead flavor had on it's own - which makes me very happy, btw!

Oh, and I'm really sorry about not getting around to other peoples journals more lately. I've been a little (quite a little) under the weather for a few days now, and not up to much time on the computer. But, getting a little better and will try to get caught up more as soon as I can. :)

take care buddy, things are kinda wrote in stone here:)

Hey my friend, beautiful plants. You really want a good pic, use flash at night. It will really show off that sparkle of ripe crystals. I hate taking pc's under HPS. Well looking like sample day isn't far off. Buds are starting to look sick with crystal production. I hear ya about getting around to say high here. I get burnt on the PC alot so I go thru spurts of postings. Long as the plants are getting their food and water. Keep em Green

AWESOME Photo Updates Dude! :)

Talk about frosty!

You're gonna need at least three pairs of trimming shears to get through those buds, and probably still a glass of alcohol to clean those three off half way through! ;)
