I think their a group of guys but the product isn't commercialy sold yet. props to the weed nerd!! lol

• Pineapple Express (G13 Labs)
• Jilly Bean (TGA Subcool)
• Pre-98 Bubba Kush (Cali Connection)

Then, either: Exodus Cheese, CH9 Humboldt, TGA Subcool's Vortex, Dinafem Sweet Deep Grapefruit, LA Confidential, or... ?

Still can't decide on that last one, so I'm open to suggestions...

hey X,nice looking list you got there I would pass on the exodus cheese if I were you bro.It smells great but it looks like outdoor once its dry and the buzz is a b at best.apperantly there is no bad pheno of vortex,I ll be trying it myself in the near future.

I've watched a couple. I should watch more, I enjoyed them quite a bit. I like what I've had of his strains very much. The Jack the Ripper was fun, and I've smoked Jilly Bean before (very very good!) The Green Avengers are part of Subcool's brand. Same supersoil I'm sure... the TGA in TGA Subcool stands for "The Green Avengers", actually. I think Subcool happily gives away the recipe for his soil, but you have to buy the amendments individually. Sounds like a pain to make, but it's supposed to be a really great soil!

Good suggestions - I've got quite a few seeds already that I want to choose from. Don't have any Jack Herer, but have a few that have Jack in it (Jack the Ripper I'm growing now has Jack Herer in it too). I have CH9 Jack 33 (Jack x CH9 Flower), and CH9 Jack (Jack Herer x Ed Rosenthal Super Bud), too. But, probably will save those for a later grow right now.

Medi Bomb is another I don't have, but is very high on my wish list for the future.

I think I've decided on either TGA Subcool's "Vortex" or CH9's "Humboldt" as the other strain. Probably Vortex, but I'll decide soon. I'd like to get Jack Herer and Medi-Bomb at some point when I order seeds again someday, though, thanks for the suggestion!

I've heard a lot of good things about the Exodus Cheese high and taste/smell, but haven't heard much about it otherwise. I'm still not sure on that one honestly, myself. I'm leaning toward the Vortex right now, but Cheese is still on my mind mostly because it's a bit different than the fruitier sweet stuff I've been growing. Thanks for the feedback Jon!

That one does sound fantastic. I'm looking to use seeds I already have right now, but I've heard that one is really amazing and super strong - as strong as it gets. Definitely on my wish list, too!

Update - 43 days Bloom

The Deadhead Ripper has trichomes seemingly everywhere. I'm quite impressed by the overall "frostiness" so far. This one has the very specific chemical/fuel taste that the Deadhead OG mom in the lineage possessed. It really looks like almost the same plant, except that you do see some mutant characteristics in the fan leaves that come from the Jack the Ripper side (extra blades on the leaves, etc.) The OG Ripper has very nice spear shaped buds and, while not as frosty, seems to be bulking up more. The Lemon Smell on this one is really something and very noticeable. Jack the Ripper is the slower bloomer of the bunch, but it's definitely gaining steam. The JTR smells a bit like cherry lemonade. On the plant it smells like a gummy worm somewhat - like a red and yellow gummy worm, lol. Very pleasant smell for sure.

All plants have impressive secondary bud development. By taking out the plant that hermied, and keeping up with pulling larger fan leaves and leaves that interfere with light to the lower canopy, there should be less of the popcorn/fluffy stuff on the lower parts of the plant. I'm super pleased with things so far, all the way around.

but yeah my bad on the tga thing I should have known that before being impulsive lol. Also though, his super soil recipe has been out for a couple years now but have you ever seen his actual TGA SuperSoil? He also has a Natural/Organic Base out now. The SuperSoil retails for $29.99 but I can't find a price on the Base.

Thanks Vick! Your plants are looking very nice indeed. I'm super stoked for the harvest in a few weeks. The OG Ripper smells amazing and I'm really hoping these have the really nice OG experience to go with the lemon flavor/smell that looks like will be there from the Jack the Ripper. I think it'll be a winner, but the proof will be in the pudding as they say.

Thanks for the props on the plants - I'm not sure how long I'll let them go, but I'm guessing around 9 weeks. Since 2 of the strains in there are my own unique crosses, I have no insight as to the finish time yet. Both parents are typically 8-9 week plants, but you never know. I'll have to play it by ear...

I had no idea that they were making a kit/for purchase version of the super soil, that's cool! If I grew in soil, that would be very tempting. Another good way to go with soil, is what Doc Bud is doing here. He's been working on "High Brix" soils that have had very promising results so far. A number of other growers have been doing high brix, too, but Doc's been paving the way I think. I know next to nothing about good soils and soil growing, unfortunately, but feel pretty comfortable with most forms of hydro. I really want to grow some plants in soil eventually, but I'm not sure when I'll do it...

No worries, you're never highjacking things here. I don't mind that at all, especially when it relates to growing like this, etc. This is helpful info, if to nobody else, it is to me. I'm a big Subcool fan and plan on doing Super Soil or high brix down the road when I get to trying soil. Thanks for the heads up and the video - super cool stuff!

She's pretty frosty, huh? I love how this ended up getting the frostiest characteristics from both mother and father. The JTR tends to have trichomes all along the stems and leaf stems, and the Deadhead OG had really crazy trichome development on the fan leaves, and leaves in general. This cross seems to have all of it as far as resin development, and is just as "frosty" looking in person as it is in the pics. Not huge buds, but nice ones so far. Plus with all the sativa in it, it might just keep on bulking for a bit too, so maybe the size will still pick up. Smells just like the Deadhead OG did, at least on the plant.
