lol point taken only helps if your using a laptop though
or youd have to be leaning down for a long time to use the keyboard on the desk then you back would start hurting........

notice how when you get older shit starts to hurt that never used to hurt....... aches and pains where did it all come from someone take it back pls............

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

My buddy puts his desk on blocks so the table top is at chest height. Then he can stand instead of bend or sit. Instead of the plastic used for a chair, he uses a rubber mat to stand on.

Your paying now for all you spent when you were younger. I had a 30' fall when I was in my 20's now I am paying for it. Chronic pain and a host of back issues topped with severe arthritis. I lifted weights most of my life and am still in good shape, but the frame work is SHOT underneath. Don't know where I would be without my meds.. They make life possible in my book.

Enjoy all from life you can everyday...

I truly believe that I am better than I deserve! Could be doin something far worse for far less. I thank God he placed me where he did and one day when we are all free of prohibition we will all be better off to help those who truly need it. Have a great holiday and keep it green. Stay lifted.

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

I probably worded it wrong Xlr8. I mean to say I (we) don't use MMJ as we have no need medically, but as caretakers for loved ones we're in a tough spot as it's not acceptable in the work world we live in even though we are in a MMJ state. We (I in this case since I dont know he will yet get her to use it for her chemo) are trying to provide the best care for our loved ones in need. And if that means MMJ, so be it. But we are also treading on thin ice.

So...You do smoke pot, but not medically, or do you just not use it at all? Just curious, sorry, I was confused by your post....:peace:

No I haven not indulged since 1976. I am growing it to treat my 77 yr old mother with Alzheimer's, Glaucoma, etc.

Bassman that's cool that you are willing to do what you are doing for your mother. I applaud your courage and open-mindedness. Good luck to you and to your mother. Alzheimers is a really terrible disease. I hope the progression is not quick and that you have much more quality time with her. :goodluck:

Hey XL,

Thanks for the concern, all is well here bro, have been enjoying spring weather here in the mountains, got engaged to my girlfriend on saint patty's day, and am enjoying my retirement by sitting on my azz doing nothing, or whatever I want :)

Love the journal, I hope you never stop man, keep those pics coming, and vape some for me, cause It's lonely round these parts :Hookah:

Kind regards,

Congrats on the engagement, Naph. Super cool! Sounds like things are going well for you all things considered, and that's great to hear. I'll definitely vape some for you... Right now actually! Be well my friend, and congrats again.

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Hey all Y'all, my eyes are burning from reading too many thread posts. But what I did see I liked. On the CBD tip is Master Control Units ATF, won SF Cannabis Cups 1st Place CBD category CBD 16.7% THC 10%. I have tried it and damn is it tasty and relived my pain quickly, smells like dinty more beef stew with really good chocolate . I am hoping that the seeds or cuttings become avail soon. :peace::Love:

Heya S2J -

Interesting! Was just looking at the details on it at the collective's website. Sounds like a great medical strain. I'm so glad to see more choices like this for high CBD strains. I'm definitely going to have to grow one of these in the future. Sounds really interesting flavor wise. Will be following your breeding journal with interest. Thanks again for passing that along. :thumb:

Don't worry X. if your having some of those days. We'll keep it going for you.:Love:

Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

I know he has bad days as of late. Makes me sad to think of that. I miss having him around too.

Thanks again for your concern, guys! :high-five:

Feeling much better today than I have in a while. Slept in late today, just taking it slow and going well so far. :)

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Tell everyone that the computer is actually therapy for you !!

Well, it is, but family is family and most important. :)

I have a wonderful family and am very blessed to have time with them. I missed it here with my "other family" though too! Thanks for helping keep the thread going A1. :)

but dont u have to sit to use the computer?
just a thought
my butt hurts i need to stand up for a bit.................

I have a laptop, so I'm usually able to lay and type, but I share it sometimes, too, so I'll browse from my phone or something (I hate typing on phones though!!)

you can stand at a counter. No sitting required!

lol point taken only helps if your using a laptop though

Yes, I've noticed! I wish we could send back the aches and pains, for sure. Sucks getting old, but it's worse when the aches and pains never leave and require seriously hardcore treatment. I couldn't have even imagined that people had to go through what I've been going through. And it could be so much worse! I have so much empathy now that I didn't used to. I'm embarassed at how much I took for granted about my health.

Tell mke about it. I use to be able to lean over into an engine compartment of a car all day. Now 10 minutes I have to take a break lol

I get really down thinking about all I can't do anymore, but try to stay focused on what I still can. It's pretty hard, though! I miss things like working on cars, but hopefully it'll come around again for me if I keep working at it. :)

the older you get the faster you get older
just a thought.............

Not just a thought, an actual fact. Consider:

As you get older the amount of your total life that a year comprises gets smaller and smaller. Making it, quite literally, seem to be shorter and happen quicker. A year is a long time to a 5 year old, because it's 20% of his/her total life experience. But to a 50 year old, it's only 2% of his/her total life experience. The net result is that time really does move faster, at least in experiential terms, for someone the older they get. Now that's something to think about after about 5 vaporizer hits... ;)

My buddy puts his desk on blocks so the table top is at chest height. Then he can stand instead of bend or sit. Instead of the plastic used for a chair, he uses a rubber mat to stand on.

Great idea! I like the idea of a standing desk, and might just do that at some point in the near future. Thanks for the idea - I like the rubber mat concept especially. :thumb:

I was a very active, physical, fit person most of my life. I have much to pay for, and I'm PAYING that's for sure. :)

I agree with you on all of what you said. My framework is shot, too, and meds make life liveable. Wish that they weren't necessary, but I'm screwed without them. Nice post, and I agree - enjoy life as it is before it's not there to be enjoyed anymore. Easier said than done, perhaps, but always true!

Same thing happened to me, wasn't hurt right after the fall but now pay for it everyday.

I assumed that if I exercised and rehabbed, and did everything I was supposed to that everything would get better. But, some debts can never be fully repaid - and apparently this is true with some injuries, unfortunately. I hate hearing that other people have everyday pain, too. Chronic pain is a terrible thing.

I truly believe that I am better than I deserve! Could be doin something far worse for far less. I thank God he placed me where he did and one day when we are all free of prohibition we will all be better off to help those who truly need it. Have a great holiday and keep it green. Stay lifted.

Nice post TJ. I hope prohibition is done with soon. Too many people made to suffer for what? Ignorance. Shameful how that can be so, but it is. I can't wait 'til we can all get together and say, "Remember when we had to be so secretive for our medicine?!?!"

i couldnt agree more,

:)

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

HEY BRO!

Been a little while since I crawled in here.. I likes the net-work on the buds. Glad to hear you had some time with the fam. it's important stuff...so I'm told.

Be in to visit again soon. :peace:

'Sup Seeeesco?!

Nice to see you my friend. :) Yes, I don't spend enough time with my family either, but last week was a lot of fun. It was nice to get caught up and see people, even though it was difficult. Appreciate you dropping by!

Re: Xlr8's Hydroponic Adventures and Photos from the Garden - 2012

Still behind, but working on it...

Tonight I'll try to get some pics of the gals in flower. The Deadhead is super frosty. It's ridiculous and cool how frosty it is. But, they're all really light on the bud size. This crop will be a clunker on yield, but hopefully the meds will be good.
