I believe:

• Yes, there are people who take advantage of the system - and they make it tough for the rest of us.
• No, I don't think it's most people, and unfortunately it is a perpetuated stereotype, like many people I am afraid I felt similarly until it befell me. Fortunately, I was able to regain employment
• Most people want to hit a home run when they step to the plate -- most also want to have a job and support their family
• I do believe we pay into a program that we should NOT be afraid to use if it's needed to support our families.
• I also believe that people should do what they can to support themselves, even if it does mean making less money
• A healthy country is one that takes care of it's people, and there aren't enough jobs. That's a statistical fact. We can't leave our brothers and sisters in the dust, and they shouldn't be ashamed that they need help.

I'm not trying to play both sides of the fence, but this is a complicated issue. I don't want flames in my journal, and you guys are an important part of my experience here, so I think we should move the journal :focus: before things become strained.

Please try to see the merit in each others viewpoints, and move forward in the spirit of grow bro brotherhood.

Grow Update October 12th - Day 20 Bloom:


I still need to figure out how to reduce the reds in my pictures better...

Its the kind of light and direction of the light, also the amount of light at time of exposure, looks like too much light from the top. Looking good, Xlr8.

I spent a bunch of time today trying to figure out how to remove the reds from my photos (caused by HPS lighting). I think I've gotten it much better, and I'm excited to show off the improvement.

You're off to a good start, and you've got some really tough conditions to deal with as far as low RH and dry climate - though that might not be all bad when you get to the bloom phase, as long as you can keep it north of 35% you should be fine. It gets dry where I'm at sometimes too.

One of my low-tech helpers was an antimicrobial sponge soaked in cool water with a small desk-fan blowing on it. Worked pretty good!

I'm so stoked to try Lucy, that I smile thinking about it. I'm excited about this little crop of mine, and can't wait to see those flowers swell up.

So much in the way of new equipment, lighting, strains, new topping techniques, defoliating more, that I'm a bit out of my comfort zone. Although, they really do look almost perfectly healthy and happy in person with a bazillion tops going, so I couldn't be happier about things so far. I'm sure it's like how you felt when you first got your tent dialed in good and working for you.

Oh man, and the wonderful smell when I open the tent!

Your recent Blue Planet Nutrient SOG harvest has me stoked about things and gives me further confidence these nutes will produce. I was a bit nervous as I had my DM nute routine down and working well, but these are the healthiest most robust plants I've grown, hands down. And you've already shown the flowers can be spectacular too.

Good idea, though I've been chasing the phone book people away for a couple of years, and I don't think I have any anymore - just seemed silly to me in this modern age! However, point well taken. I'm sure I have something around here. I might have to wait 'til the wife can help though, as I can't lift things right now...
