Hello my lady, sometimes I can't help myself with the craziness. I love it as it is a great release for me. I've always had an odd sense of humor! LOL

Today I woke up with an unusually bad migraine, compared to my normal ones. It has affected me in such a way that renders me emotionally numb and I find myself unable to continue things like my normal banter. It's like I'm jolly one minute and then the headache comes and that's the end of that! With an intense headache like today's even the prescription stuff doesn't work!

I've had chronic migraines for about 9 years now and while normally the prescription med works for them, occasionally I get one like today and nothing works, even MMJ. Smoking helps with the side effects I get from the prescription stuff.

Bear with me folks I always get through them, just matter of some more sleep tonight and I'll be fine tomorrow. Or I'll just get one of my 'normal' migraines and that's treatable!

No worries folks. This is old hat for me! Don't want you to feel I've abandoned you all!

Good luck with your headache Woodsman, migraines suck! Your odd sense of humor, along with OMM, MH and all the others is why I laugh my ass off at your journal and will follow all of your journals. + reps for keeping it entertaining. That sense of humor and your humbleness is why you get my vote for MOM. :peace:

...
I can't believe how quickly they've progressed in just a week! I think it was less than a week ago that I described Big Girl as starting to develop her trichomes. Now she's got just about as much as Fatleaf. The Runt is now like Fatleaf was a couple of weeks ago.

...

My girls just grew up overnight. Amazing growth on all of them in just the last few days. I checked the color of trichs on Fatleaf and I've got a mix of clear and cloudy. Her leaves are starting to turn yellow like she's eating them up. I wonder if her wilting from getting dry has speed this process up a bit?

my friend, it looks like the ca mg + is working. I tell you, it took about 2 weeks for my plants to bounce back after providing the ca mg consistently. That, along with tweaking your ph seems to have fired up your plants.

OK! Here's the plan:grinjoint:

Set the bird poo on fire. Throw it on that damn Leopard. While she is distracted jump to the nearest tree, making sure the tree is between you and her. Once down run like hell to the bushes and keep running. When you get to the nearest Gray Hound Station, panhandle enough money to get some clothes and a ticket south. You could rest up along the way, staying at places of 420 members like MountainHigh who would put you for a night and feed you. Work your way over to So. Cal. Find a freighter and make a deal to work for passage to Hawaii. I have a spare bedroom just waiting for you. If my X bugs you to much, we could move you to the shed in the back yard, we could make a few improvements on it. Then we would get your Hawaiian MMJ card and grow together. Deal? :yahoo::yahoo:

That is some funny shit.

Sorry to hear about the headaches they can be crippling. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Woodsman!

Sorry if I've missed answering anybody's post. I'm feeling much better today and I'll be around! Thanks for all the nice and kind words folks. You are truly nice people and I really enjoy shooting the sh*t with you all! It really bothered me last night when I tried to respond and couldn't, to some of the funny stuff you folks were laying out there.

Thanks Warrior, I think I was born slightly demented! Must be, I can't help myself sometimes. I think that Mountains and OMM's threads are way more informative than this one and very funny to boot!

As for the MOM contest, for the life of me, I don't know why I am even considered for such an honor? I am not a very good grower compared to let's say, most of you! I've got a set up that in all reality is pretty Micky Mouse and is pretty embarrassing to say the least! Also, I've not been here very long (since mid Dec.). And to top it off, I've got a wife who tries to take the fun out of growing on a full time basis! Like it's her life's mission!

Mountain, Hypo and Spike all know more about growing than I do.

Could be Joe, I owe you for that one buddy! Also with the ability to check the pH I am keeping them on track.
Thank you my friend for saving the day!
For those of you new to this thread, Joe was kind enough to get me some Cal/mag and a pH test kit. A great guy and very representative of many of you out there helping one another.

That is some funny shit.

Thanks Wingman I appreciate your kindness.

It's only funny if there's an audience out there to participate. Luckily you all are out there and that's what in my mind makes this enjoyable!

Woodsman, poisons are in many products, they may not be poison to everyone, in fact they may be helpful to others. I found out early on that Miller Beer would trigger a bad headache. Certain kinds of canned vegetables would do the same thing, journal your diet and keep good records down to the small amounts of spice that you may use. I think some things like nitrates trigger the problem.

I have to agree. A food journal is priceless when it comes to triggers for headaches/migraines. My mom found that her migraines were triggered by caffeine, onions and some other common things.

Good luck man.

And check out the new pics in my sig.

I would try a meat and potatoes/Rice diet for a while, with little seasoning and no gravy. I would do potatoes over rice, that is my call, butter and sour cream and chives, use just fresh stuff. You can throw in some brocally but only fresh, and with no cheese other than velvetta and butter.

Luckily I haven't had a migraine in a while...but my last one was at the beginning of may last year....lasted 14 days....and my doctor wouldn't prescribe a vasodilator because she wanted me to come in, has to make the bucks i guess.....I was in full blown sensitivity to light puking stage and had been for days so that wasn't happening....doctor's suck....just my opinion btw.....so I hammered those over-the-counter Excedrin migraine pills between vomiting for the last 6 days of the headache and it finally broke.

Hope all is well in the combat zone....any leopard spotting? (.......:smokin:)

:peace: brother.

Hello OilField! welcome to the Zoo! Howdy Joe!

Great suggestions. All of them. I've had these cluster/cronic headaches/migraines for so long now, and I've done so many of these tests that it drove me nuts! I used to think it was my last boss who was a very unique pain in the ass or in my case the head! My Doctor was even stumped! I had a scare many years ago after taking an MRI when the Neurosurgeon thought I had a blockage in one of the blood vessels around the brain! They did another a few weeks later. The asshole Dr. went on a trip back to India right after I had the first MRI. I had was a call from the Radiologist telling me that I need to see my Dr. ASAP. My Family Dr. had to get the report and ordered another MRI so for about a week I thought I was going to die! They determined that I did not have a blockage and that it was a mistaken interpretation (the initial one). I think I started getting my gray hair that week!

Enough of that memory! Ya so we've tried pretty much everything and other than just plain stress and anxiety nothing much else stood out. When I went on vacations I would sometimes (not always) be headache free. Of course the Dr. has always told me that it could be Cigs and I did try to stop a couple of times, but I still got migraines during those 'brief' attempts. Ever since that debacle with the MRI, I've always worried that I've got some tiny tumor or something and nobody has found it yet!

Hey Mountain! Wow that one didn't sound like a whole lot of fun! I have been fortunate (I guess) in that I've been prescribed different 'triptans' (I think that's what they call them) Meds like Imetrex and Zomig and about a half dozen others. I change meds when the Insurance decides there is something cheaper. They all seem to work to some extent. I take them at the onset of a migraine and in about an hour the head pain is pretty much gone and that is where MMJ comes in. The side effects of the meds are not always pleasant, I feel like rubber and kind of weak. The smoke makes me forget it! Sometimes, like the last one the meds just don't cut it. I am allowed to take another pill in that case, but those migraines are just too much for it and I pay big time. The Dr calls them 'rebound migraines' I call them revenge headaches! They're getting back at me for not suffering enough with the regular ones! Almost like I've been supressing the migraine up to a bursting point and then they explode.

Continuing the saga of the 'grow hating wife' and the 'poor, descent, innocent, and all around kind man who just wants to grow some a**kicking sh*t......Pot sniffing Himalayan Snow Leopard last seen chasing the neighbors pit bull into the next county. My wife had to let go of the leash after a few miles. I was able to sneak down off the roof and get in the house. By the time she came home, she forgot the reason she was hunting me in the first place. Right now she keeps walking around the house scratching her head :scratchinghead: she's trying to remember something! I've been very nice to her since.

Safe at last ( at least till the next time I order something for the grow ).

It is suggested on the General Organics brand CaMg+ that woods is using:
1 tps / gal for regular feeding
2 tsp / gal to combat deficiency

I also voted for woodsman for MOM.

It's Member of the Month, Woodsman, not grower of the month. You bring a lot to the table in your threads and posts in the form of an open discussion about most things we as adults face in our lives.

I hope you win.

Thanks for voting for me Hypo, I'll send you the cash right away!

I really don't know too much about the Cal/Mag hopefully someone else will pipe in here and help our buddy Hypo out! I have used it on both of my last feedings. Just a teaspoon per gallon. I think I used 1 and a half on the last one. That was the maximum. I think though that there are different brands with different make ups.

Thanks for helping out Hypo, Joe. I'm also wondering, should I continue to use it as a supplement with my other nutes?
