Woodsman's Northern Light #5 Grow

A few pics of the kids, #1's pic was out of focus so it's not included. The plants are free from bondage here.

Very Nice! I get the occasional little hunter. Usually around first cool weather. I say Hi to it when I go into the grow room. He usually turns his back and pretends I'm not there! LOL!

--Sorry it took so long to answer! My internet (local server) went down as I started to reply last night! Just came back up an hour ago!--

We get them by the thousands in the fall. They congregate on our southwest facing wall outside. Many sneak in and our with us all winter.. Usually end up on the TV where I can grab them. Then it's upstairs to the tent for them and they love it in there since its nice and warm, there's water and a nice little breeze blowing! They are free to hunt as they wish!

Cool I'm in, I love NL. I also liked the last batch of pics how the plants went from biggest to smallest. Great job and have fun on your grow. Peace and good karma.

Welcome Bud Farmer. It's great to have you here and thank you for the kind words! Taking pics of the plants when they're so young can sometimes get boring unlike later in the grow when the buds are fat and juicy.

I promise folks, not to take so many pics of the plant this early in veg! Maybe once a week. Other wise its like watching a snail move.LOL

This strange is one of my favourite (maybe really the best§), i'm growing one now too.
I don't understood if are nlx5haze or simple nl.
Some years ago, we grown 3 of normal nl, very beautiful girls and very good weed ( at top after 4/5 months dryed) for 3 plants we had 220 grams of dried weed :D
Plants high about 1.80/2 meters.
Keep on bro, nice things should happen

Hey Superweed, nice to see you here! Did you get your seeds from a seed bank or from a bag of the smoke? If it's from a seed bank you could recheck their website or you could email them. I had to email mine to find out which NL I had!

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly (your Italian accent even comes through in your writing-but your English is very good!) Did you mean that you harvested in 4/5 months or that after 4/5 months of CURE/DRY it was better? I figure that was an outside grow judging by that 2 meter height!
All I hear is that NL#5 is terrific.. I cannot wait!

LOL! I bet not... I'm sure it's got a little bit of bad smell action to it.

Thanks for droppin by Joe. I've decided not to buy a different veg fertilizer. It's too much for us right now (I know they're not that much, but for us it is). Any ways I've only got a few more feedings until I'll be switching. Right at this stage of about 2 1/2 weeks I'm at water or feed every 6 days. Most likely will be a little shorter time as the plants get bigger. So we'll endure. When I spray them I use a very, very diluted concentration of the Fish Fert. so it is hardly noticeable. Dealing with very low humidity (16 to 35) 35 after a misting or watering and 16 -20 when I come back to check. I looked at humidifiers/misters at Wally's, but the cheapest was $23, again too much right now. I'm not seeming to have any issues concerning the dryness as yet. What should I be looking for? For flowering the dryness is a good thing. Correct? Thanks Joe.

I have redirected my clothes dryer's vent into my grow room to add a little bit of humidity and heat. Other than that my plants will just have to wait for warmer outside weather. I can't wait for winter to be over.

Yeah the dryness is good for blooming but not for vegging, I had problems with my little girls in veg getting a bit of dry foliage and I think that it might of been causing the extremely short internodal growth. I am gonna figure out something for humidity in my grow box for my next grow whenever my seeds get here.

:peace: brother.

That's a great idea if we had a dryer! LOL

does this make sense guys: Even though the gauge tells me that it is dry, could it be that as long as I mist my plants often (three times a day) they will be OK? Also will the low humidity effect my potency in anyway in the long run?

I'm sure a grow tent could solve some of those problems.. Unfortunately it's not in my budget at this time.
What would be the difference Joe? The placement of the tent if you had one?

I don't believe it will effect potency, I know dry humidity can actually increase trichome production (resin is produced to protect the tender bud like the skin of an orange). But all I think it will effect in vegging is yield.

My babies seemed to be growing much slower than they could have with the dry humidity, I am gonna see with my new seeds if adding humidity will help. I might hang a wet towel once a day in the box (new one every day so I don't get alot of mold spores in my plant). Or ph the water I put in the towel to like 5.0 or something that mold can't live in. (Will probably kill the towel though lol)

:peace: from the mountains.

Another great idea MH with the towel. Wouldn't a fan blowing in the space prevent mold from occurring? Just need to re moisten the towel a couple times a day? I imagine that in my tent, with the very dry climate the fan most likely adds to the dryness, but without the airflow worse things will happen! I may try your 'wet towel' idea.

Along with my three times a day misting, I have also been placing a bowl of water directly under one of the cfl's hoping that the evaporation will moisten the air. It does evaporate, but apparently does not have any visible results according to the gauge. Well a humidifier is the answer but can't swing it for this grow. Even if I could there is very little space to put it, unless I kept it just outside the tent and devised a duct to bring the mist inside.
