Wild Strain From The Midwest

Haha they're still in man!! This is their journal.

This is why I'm growing them out. From everything I've read of hemp; it is literally the same genus and species, Cannabis Sativa but were crossed with ruderalis to assure low THC and multiple harvests seasons.
These ladies are just now throwing preflowers and look like they could go until November (leads me to believe very little ruderalis dominance)

With that said, I'm prepared for some meh weed. From the dank smell I got when handling her, I have got some hope lol
I figure worst case, it will be low in THC (5-15%) but loaded with other cannabinoids

So the trim seems to only have stunted them about a day! F3 bounced back best.

F1 is now 38" (4" since Tuesday)

Gotta take a trip to the grow store tomorrow!! gonna get a 3 and 5 gallon smart pot (going to find out which I like better for the autos), FFOF, and some more FF big bloom.
I'm as giddy as kid in a candy store!!

I will have a journal for those ladies Ina couple few days. The fam is going camping so maybe Sunday night, we'll see how motivated I am.

So that tap root was Uber aggressive. It literally went through the paper towel! So I put that one in the 5 gallon for sure!!

F1 and F2 have been popping them for a bit, no stacking but legit early flowering. I think F3 is the barometer. Shes been slow and steady the whole time.
I've always had a feeling about her so maybe its just me being emotional lol

This is truly my favorite time of the year!!
 
Cool. Good luck with it. I'm just glad that you were aware that it might be hemp. That's a lot of work to be disappointed in the end. As long as you know. I agree its a interesting grow. Lots of pot being grown these days. Maybe it was crossed with someone's wayward male.
 
What I wanted to find, was someone that did this before lol
Everything I find about "ditch weed" is seeded plants on the side of the road. You find the occasional, "look what I found" and it was a barely pollenated female that was fire.
I couldn't find anyone that grew it out. Or if they did it got pollenated outside.

I'm really interested in the secondary cannabinoids. Not just CBD either.
I think to the conversations I've had with older stoners about weed back in the day. They all tell me it was different.

Those that didn't really burn and don't now just say our shit today is too fire. But long time stoners have told me it's a bit more nuanced. Yes the thc higher but they talk about the high being different.
We have lost a lot of those secondary cannabinoids through breeding.

So I guess what I was trying to say before I went on my haze filled ramble is, fuck, I don't remember......

Anyway, I plan on getting it tested after all is said and done to get the breakdown on her cannabinoids.

(I'm not going to lie, I'm nervous as fuck. It was my only option at the time, but I'm going be as optimistic as possible and try to coax everything I can out of her)
But I do have some auto flower going right now too, just in case

Yeah man I agree bout the high being different these days every once in a while though. That guy growing that awesome plant has 5 seeds he's giving me from the 70's that little leaf plant I posted earlier is his so I'm pretty exited it came from the same seeds.

So true about the high being different. Now with all the testing info. Most people go with the high THC or CBD. All strains must be tried. How strong it is does not make it a good or enjoyable high. Boring strains suck. Super strong boring weed sucks just as bad. To bad we can't check the same test info on the old giggle weed to see what we are missing.

Looking good. Dude you'll never guess what happened my buddy that was growing that 70's plant was riding his bike and got ran over and killed last night I have one of his plants I'm going to take care of as a tribute to him. Man I'm sad though he was a good person. But it's just a Bubba Kush x Candyland cross.

Bro! Holy shit. That's fucking crazy man. I'm sorry for your loss. That tragic, where was he riding? Did that person get caught?

They had bubba Kush and Candyland back in the 70s?
 
So I looked at the rest of the clones I have waiting to root and I realized something.
I need a tent and an LED stat!!!

I have 3 newly rooted clones, 2 more that have baby roots coming in and 2 more that I'm sure will too.....I never expect to get more than 50% on clones. Generally bc I forget about them and only the heartiest make it lol

I just don't know how I'll convince the wife to alot the money for that purchase.....
 
Nah it was one he had at a mutual friends place he had plants at all his friends places that didnt grow to maximize his summer crop he had around 40 going around Eugene Oregon area 4 plants at each stop he just put the Bubba Kush x Candyland at our friends and was going to get that tiny leaf plant over there today plus two more. well most likely that little leaf plant will die since it's locked in his apartment he grew the new stuff but always kept seeds and labeled them as either indicas or sativa before names were popular and also the strain names as they came along. I'm soooo disappointed I wanted to get a strain out with his name attached if I can get to that little leaf plant I'll clone it and name it after him with his initials.
