Who Let The Dogs Out? Chem Comparison Grow!

2 days ago I stuffed two cracked chem4 seeds A & B, into rockwool plugs. They both had cracked (one a few hours ahead of the the other I call A)

This seed A, popped out today! Welcome A, to the Skid Row Closet Grow! :happy-birthday:

Nice! Looks very healthy. Good start!

It's still morning here. Update, Chem isn't looking so good. I order Chemdog Millionaire Dr Kripping Fem. From GYO seed bank. They ship from the USA.

It's funny about these BlueBerry's. They popped out a tan color. Never saw that before, I thought, I had duds. Luckly, I didn't pull them, they turn green the next day. BB is up and running.
This is the first time, I have had trouble with babies. I hope my trouble are over. Sorry about the picture, need a new camera. I can't remember, who has taken picture with an ipad, I like how those picture came out. I'm interested in looking into getting one. I'll go back and see if I can fine that post about the ipad.:surf:
I use iPad Pro and it does pretty good with pics✌️

Hi Bard, I have tried using .5 ml tincture under the tongue followed up by 1 ml oil under the tongue. It really gets me to relax and squash the heavy duty dreams but allows me to still dream. I can just rollover and go back to sleep.

Also, it may sound odd but to ease RA, food allergies are big culprit. Watch all the common foods. Try to rotate 1 day eat item 3 days don't eat item. All consistent cravings are a signal of allergy.

Best wishes to you and the Mrs.

Thanks! This is really helpful, and your timing is perfect. Was just reading up on tinctures. Yes, Mrs. Bard has been down the allergy road. She isn't celiac, but has been test and confirmed "unaccepting" of gluten. Her RA really flares up when I bake fresh bread (no one forces her to eat it). LOL.

Since I have 2 chem4 beans in the nursery, my 2 auto's should be okay since one is in flower and one in it's 5th week, I switched the lights to 8 on 4 off to take it easy on these brand new Dawg seedlings and keep the auto's growing.

IMG_20190824_222315.jpg

Interesting! I'm not juggling different plants at this time, so I'm doing plain ol' 18/6.

Dumb question, but rather than changing the light schedule/duration, would an option be to lessen the intensity of light to the seedlings? It looks like your set-up might not make that so easy to do. Was just thinking about some light fabric or screening material to shield the little 'uns while the autos get fully intensity etc. Just me rambling... :)

Thank Bard but my setup of stacking buckets makes for allowing me to use them (5 & 3.5gal) to adjust each individual up or down according to their individual needs. It's actually been a very good method for past 7 months. And the lights are stationary and never need adjustment.

I've harvested one photoperiod and now two auto's are flourishing this way.

This is a crazy setup I’ve never seen before, but I love it. are you doing DWC?

You're close, DWC "BUBBLEPONICS".

Pennywise has been a mentor from the beginning.

I think you'll like all the DIY CREATIVITY built in. Each bucket is a seperate ecosystem.

I'll be glad to post my whole setup for this forum. Makes Bubbleponics a breeze for my tiny growroom size.

As is par for me, 2 seeds were wet napped one had a root but the other didn't. After 4 days in wet rockwool it still hasn't opened any further. I'll see if it opens up further while I germ it with another seed! Worst case it won't open, best case, I'll be feeding Three Dawgs.

I want two Dawgs one strictly for harvest (to gage total net yield) and the other for harvest and cloning a perpetual stash.

This is gonna be a challenge to juggle these Dawgs while finishing up these auto's!

BUBBLEPONICS:

I Never need to guess about water level and SUPER EASY to precisely monitor and add fluids without lifting the plants "unless it's for water changes"

Since we can't post video here, I'm gonna make time to make one for YouTube or something..

Ms Chem is chugging along, she’s on day 58 from flip and she’s probably got about 2 weeks left

She’s very strong pine skunk smell and I can’t wait till she finishes up. I will be starting germination on Top Dawgs 91 Chem#12 soon and I can’t wait to see what I get out of those, they are regular seeds so I will be taking out the males✌️

WOW...…....HOLY COW!! It's always a pleasure to see a plant grown really well by someone who really knows what they're doing. That's a gorgeous plant.

My experience growing was only one relatively normal photo seed to harvest (enduring all the damage I could inflict), and now, raising 2, apparently healthy auto's.

Any real confidence lies within these Chemdawg #4. So this will be like my Cannacolledge midterms.

I'm not about to claim to be experienced but will definitely dive into the deep end in this forum. Heres an example of my growing prowess!

She was only 18 inches high. And only ripened at the bottom 1/3 rd and the rest only flower in 18 weeks But it's a great 6 grams.

Nice healthy plants there @SQl2kGuy .
I’m not sure what you mean by mainlining and fluxing with quadline approach... those are three distinct training styles/plant structures.. :hmmmm:

To be perfectly honest, my most successful plant training as been just simple LST. No topping or early structure manipulation.. just tie down the top and pull the side branches outwards. No stalling from aggressive topping, no wasted veg time, just big plants with lots of tops.

Thanks for that input @ChefDGreen ... I could really use it right now.

I am just about to harvest my first two plants that I quadlined ... and I have a few others on the go.

So I am still new and trying different things. The one thing I am going to try this round is to top at the third node and clip node #1 growth nodes ... basically the beginning step of quadlining. Then ... I am going to top as much as I can ... no secondary side branches this round.

The next round ... I plan to do what you do ... pure LST.

I have read many journals ... and everyone swears that their technique is the best :)

My guess is I am going to find a training pattern that is a mix that fits my style and comfort zone.

But for now ... everything is new and fun ... which is pretty cool!

Just be careful with how you top and when. If you start pinching out every growth tip as they start to take off you might end up stalling the plant out of stress... especial if the genetic material is anything less than completely stable.

With my method I think the most important aspect is defoliation... slowly, and consistently. I probably take fans off my plants everyday, but I only do 3-10 depending on the size of the plant. Keeping all of your nodes in full sun is what will make you a big bushy heavy yielder, not just tops but nodes. Everything that normally stays small and gets cleaned out as larf never had a chance cause of bigger higher fan leaves taking all the sun. And as your lower down nodes make shoots and those shoots grow up, you can pull anything that’s taking dominance (highest point by any significant margin) and pull it out to the side.

Ill have to take pictures of my current plants’ training so you can get a visual.
