Who Let The Dogs Out? Chem Comparison Grow!

I've got a few buds that are completely bleached and crispy directly under the bulb. The others beneath the fixture appear pretty healthy, but have a little bit of light bleaching at the tips. The buds on the perimeter of the tent are doing well too.

I'll be flipping Sativa's way sooner from now on... I've sacrificed a decent portion of my yield due to being a noob for sure. It got a grow rating of hard, and I should have stuck with something a little easier for my second grow. . I'm going indica dominant for my next couple of grows to get my confidence back up. Haha

sog is a better yield on a yearly basis especially if you’re doing it 12/12 from seed. That method makes sense because you’re replacing a longer veg time with a higher plant count. But 12/12 from seed sog is probably best done with 1 or 2 gal pots. Unless of course you’re running a long flowering strain like Emilya was talking about

Things that make me go hmmmm ....

Okay ... change of plans then ... I will induce some stretch in my two Chemdogs this week and use the T-1000 plant for clones instead of mainlining it.

At some point I better do a Pheno hunt for strains that grow quick and have nice primary colas ...

Right now ... I am only using Tweed Bakerstreet for the SOG ...

I saw a video last year that was a huge learning boost for me. Until I saw the video I topped every single plant at the 5th node. Now I top like in the video. Not sure if I can put a link here and be compliant to the rules.

However, if you go to YouTube and search for this exact title it will take you right to the video.
Topping For Optimum Yield And Quality.

The video is by Chef Derek Butt and he knows his stuff.

Hey @Emilya ...

Did you watch the video and only top after the plant is 16 inches tall?

We can grow roots with topping earlier right?

And yes ... that link will most likely be removed ... here's a tip from @Teddy Edwards ... he sent it to me today :)

Next time, just use an internal link to the information. It keeps members on-site, supports our SEO and is easier for everyone.

Just to add to the interest, you could start with 25% of your flower area full and add 25% every 2 weeks. You’ll start to harvest every two weeks as long as you keep it up and the strain you’re growing is 8 week flowering time. That works a lot better from clone than from seed, though. If you wanna perpetual sog from seed you should do 25% every 3 weeks.

I like your thinking on this ... a perpetual harvest ...

The Bakerstreet is 8 weeks and the Chemdawg is 11 weeks ... the canopy may also vary so I might have to raise a few of the 1020 trays ... but it is manageable.

Thanks buddy ...

Good evening everyone! Hope all is well. Just throwing in a picture of my Chemdog Autos. Its a group picture!

These girls are 36.31 days from seed.

Have a groovy evening.

I screwed up my ScrOG ,,, it happens.

lol ... I just realized your avatar is a plane ... I thought it was a snowman at first ... I need a coffee!

Nice to meet you @Aero808 ... and obviouslt the name isn't because you like bubbly chocolate :)

So I just had the weirdest experience.
I’m smoking my bong in the bathroom.... filling the bathroom with smoke.
I finish and walk out into the room, which contains my grow, and I’m struck with the thought of “Wow! It stinks like bud out here!”

In my veg tent I have a Black Cherry Punch plant. I noticed about a week ago that it seemed to have stopped growing. Having nowhere to put it I was okay with her having slowed down her growth. Two days ago I noticed the leaves at the top part of the plant were just a bit lighter in color then the bottom of the plant. So I was looking at two factors here. First, she was needing to be watered every day. And the top of the plant was getting just a little bit lighter in color. To me this indicated she had run out of room in her pot. So today I decided to put her in a 5 gallon fabric pot and get her in the flowering tent. Here is a photo of her root mass when I up-potted her. I find that when I graduate from a solo cup to a 3/4 gallon pot to a 2 gallon pot, to a 3.5 gallon pot, and finally in a 5 gallon fabric pot the plant fills each pot with thick healthy roots which translates to bigger, stronger plants with more and nicer flowers.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she was nearly root bound. She'll appreciate the extra soil and extra nutrients and minerals. Here she is in her forever home. The buds tend to get heavy on the BCP so I pushed in a handful of bamboo poles for future use.
