White Widow Halloween Grow With 315 Watt CMH Light Journal

I've got 2 x 315s in tent 1.5x1.5x1.8m

I've got four insane bushes two weeks into flip and there's buds appearing all over em - started showing pretty much immediately after 33 hrs darkness (with magnifying glass to help see)

My clones are monster crop and this is only my second attempt so I've not got much to compare it with - used 600 hps last grow which didn't make as intense light and also seemed to make much more heat - needed air cooling but the 315s are uncooled, tent averaging 28C in their day

By the way grebs I started following your journal this last week early on in your veg you had curling and that brown spot on your lower leaves. For future grows, it was most likely a magnesium deficiency and usually happens around the time plants are about a month old just an FYI.

Starting a waterfarm with a ss315 all to itself in a few days... Got 1.24gpw last time around in a one plant waterfarm... I think of it as the "Goldilocks" light.... It's just right.... It's a perfect fit for a 3'x3' tent, 1 plant rdwc scrog ..... With 3 lights, the coveted 3 lbs per 1000 watts is not out of reach...

Hey Grebs. I've read all your posts over the last few days and have been riveted to them all the way! I'm 1 week in after sprouting and have been freaking out over the progress. It's my first grow. Thanks for all the encouraging life experience and thanks to all the others who chime in and root for the home team! I'm sleeping better now. You're so close now I can't wait for the actual weight and taste/ buzzworthyness report! You did your job! Well done! So my girls are 4 northern lights auto with 315 cmh light in 4 foot tent. I'm waiting for the second set of jagged leaves to appear any day now. Thanks to the highest power.

Nothing really new to report today. Im using week 10 feeding on Fox Farms feeding schedule for soil. Grow big has been removed from feeding now. Still using Beasty Bloomz. They say 1/4 tsp for beasty bloomz but its a little hot at that strength so I'm a little under that.
Lowering dosage of cal mag to half strength since I'm mixing tap water and distilled. hmmmm lets see here what am I missing.. Today or tomorrow is 6 full weeks of the 12/12 flip. Some count once they see buds, Some count when they flip. Which is right? I don't know but I'm counting from flip and if I have to add a week or two then so be it. Think It was around a week or less when I could see them starting to form anyways. I went over the plants with my scope checking trichomes and have not seen much of a change. The ambers are under control atm and staying few and far between. Not many if any on the bud sites and unless I'm not seeing them correct, I still see lots of clear trics.
That being said I would like to do a 2 week flush so feeding should stop now or soon. Not sure how many more feedings I will be able to get away with before a flush is necessary. Any I don't want a 3 day flush.
Oh well heres a few pics to enjoy.

She looks great. I think you will be so pleased by week 8 that her swollen nice colas are resin covered and sticky to trim scissors will be stuck together. You have done a great job all around and your hard work will pay off. How are the trichs looking still coloring to fast??

Oh by the way. The smell. Was trying to figure it out. Ive never been around a grow so I have no idea how they was suppose to smell. The aroma in the tent is not the same as when you get your nose on a bud that's for sure. Just figured they smell like weed like when you open your baggy from a dealer and take a sniff.
Growing these White Widows are nothing like that. Nothing at all. Yes it smells like pot. Duh. But its more complex. Ever get sap on your hands from a pine tree? Its super sticky and has that strong fresh pine sent? That sap is exactly what this smells like but sweeter.
Are all grows like this? Or do different strains smell completely different?

The trics turning amber has slowed down and may have even stopped for the time being. When I start the flush I'm going to extend the dark times as well. maybe 10/14 and last few days to a week to 8/16.
I hear this really brings out the goo and trics. 8 weeks I'm hoping will be minimum before harvest. 9 would be even better if I can still get more weight out of them without total couch lock. Theres a few good buds but still plenty that needs to fill out. And still plenty of white hairs sticking out everywhere.
Will be interesting to see them all trimmed up and free of leaves. I feel the yield is looking on the smallish side still and 8 oz may be too much to ask. But then again I stare at them every day and have no idea how the weight will turn out since ive never grown. One thing I did notice is pictures make plants look a lot bigger then they really are.

Have you ever heard of backbuilding? If not YouTube it or Google it. I just did a experiment on one of mine and it actually works. This is the first time I tried it. There are a couple other guys also doing it. But do some reading on it and let me know your thoughts. This is a picture of my backbuilding remember this is a 10. To 12 inch plant root bound and just ignored

Oh and here are a pic of the 2 clones I saved. Damn.. almost forgot about them. Was wilted up pretty good. Oops.
Anyways I made 5 gallon fabric pots for them and tied em down. There bouncing back as we speak now that they got some much needed water. These bags used up a full 1.5 cubic foot of ffof. Much bigger than the 3 gallon pots the others are in. Heavy is an understatement.
