White Widow Halloween Grow With 315 Watt CMH Light Journal

The light is amazing. The spectrum and uv is why i want it. But if it can only be used during winter then not fir me. I do have a portable air conditioning. But that would just be to much. Right now my temps are PERFECT lights on 75 lights off 63. Last two weeks of flowerimg I'll drop temp dowm to 50 degrees to pull some color out of her
 
Hey slowpuffer, What was you growing when you pulled at 8 weeks? I'll have to look it up. Maybe it was an early finisher strain? The more digging I do the more I learn how white widow grows. Seems the best part of WW comes at the very end of flowering. Must must must be patient to truly grow the white widow the way it's meant to be. But the trics tell you how patient your aloud to be.
They claim its a beginner strain. I'm starting to think they say that because it's hearty and really good no matter when you chop. I've waited this long and I hope these beauties let me flower another month
 
WW isnt only for beginners its for advanced growers also. The yield and quality of colas. I have been growing since 1998 and still WW is in my seed collection. Currently i am doing a kush winter grow. Vanilla, critical and afghan

Imagine two of your bulbs in the same hood, running horizonal . Your bulb is vertical, right ?
 
Yeah mines vertical. Just saying tho, Bignugz420 is worried about heat. If he is fine using a 315 then heat may not be an issue. I don't know what the benefits or cons are between having the bulb vertical or horizontal. I have my tent in a basement closed room. Its been in the 20s to almost 60s past few weeks. Duct work closed off as I was hitting 85 at the highest. I also have a heater in there to keep it from going under 65 degrees during lights off. I think the tent was sucking in the hot air and that's why it got to 85 degrees. Relocated the heater so it isn't pointing right at an intake but left the duct work closed also. Now I'm around 78 degrees to maybe 80 and still only bottom out at 65.
Summertime I couldn't say. Again tho, my tent is in a naturally cool room. Oh. I'm only running 4 inch fan too that at its best is prolly only minimum recommended

I would love to see other journals using this light, the 630w lec cmh. Why are there no journals ?? They've been on the market now for at lleast 2 yrs. !! Grebs, try my link now .
 
My room is Natalie cold as well its just like a basement so I'm just worried about summer time with that type of light if it'll make the room that much harder because the ring summertime it's going to raise the temperature of the outside of the room compared to what it is now currently I'm running 1000 watt HP s air cold sealed hood and I keep my time in between 74 degrees lights on and a 65 degrees lights off I use a small heater for lights off and I'm down and perfectly my only concern is that with this new light its not sealed its opened so I don't know how much he eat it will give off and if its worth while to get one summer is coming up so soon

With the 315 I can hold the back of my hand under it at 10 to 15 inches with barely any irritation. I held my hand there till I got bored. Have it around 17-18 inches about the canopy though veg and flower. Started around 2 foot when they was small.

Bignugz.. Your keeping your room pretty cool. Not sure how much your temps would change with a 315. Since your running a 1k I would say get 2 315s. Now theres 2 open lights. Its your call. I'm not sure how long I plan to grow. I have 2 clones I plan on throwing in the tent after this grow is done. I may take a cpl cuttings off of them for another grow when there done or I may pack it up for the summer. But if you can wait, maybe ill be running mine when its hot outside. Slowpuffer, you putting the 630 up for the summer and running something else?
 
Yes I already know my 1k HPS won't be used during summer. But I'll be doing mostly outdoors. That's my favorite anyway. And in Seattle we have good summer for growing.... I harvested 1.25 lbs off on blueberry from 420 and it was amazing smoke. I should have cured it longer but was to excited to.jump into it

I have nothing to replace it with. I have the 400w hps-mh on the sog, and I can grow barely enough weed for wife & I with it. But I'm gonna talk with a friend, who owns some land, and maybe go outside for the warm mos. !! Don't know yet !! But one thing for sure, I wont be running air, unless it's to keep our ass cool !! Been there done that !! Wow, that elec. bill was up there !!

How many weeks? She looks like she will swell up and get amber. She is very impressive and beautiful. I am interested in getting a LEC so bad. I love HPS that's all I'll flower under. I currently have a HPS LED combo tent but I cycle them around the buckets to each get both lights. It's only a 4*3*6 foot tent so footprint between both is perfect

I have a 315 and its cool as a cucumber. Lovin it. I keep it just over a foot off of the canopy.
