lol. my house stinks. @500 sq. ft., of which about 32 sq ft of it is flowering, there's no where to hide from it.

I have already had friends calling me like hey, :xmas: is coming, when am i getting my presents? times are tight round these parts. but tight times strengthen hearty folk. :smokin2:

it seems to be. . . keep in mind, freezing that batch was an after thought and i didnt freeze it until it was already a few months old, and getting to the end of its life. i tossed that after i didnt think it was working, and made a new batch that i froze instantly. sometime down the road, either i'll use it again, or give it to my boy if he wants to try it. then we'll really see how much potency it'll lose over time in the freezer.

i didnt get a chance to do the res change, it'll ave to wait till tomorrow. this will most likely be the last feeding before the final flush.

if i get a lb out of the entire tent, i'll be fine with that. considering all.
 
wheel good job as you round third and head for home with ur grow, I think it is great to c the side by side show and learn from this run as it is the best way to compare everything from leaf color to potency. looking forward to final product and breakdown.
 
Wheel you love to push them ladies dont ya!! So do I ..Burning the last week before feeding is almost madatory in my garden. With the flush theat will be washed out, and your will have one hell of a harvy to smoke on. Nice work as usual. Cant wait to see the her turn into a him...LOL..

hey butch, do you think i ran the nutes too hot? i think i must be repeating the same mistakes i made in my first two attempts as far as the hydro goes. i can't figure it out because its probably a lot of things.


in the hydro, i was struggling to keep the pH stable for weeks, but after i flushed it good, for 3 whole days, it's been sitting pretty steady this past week. i should have gave it a flush every week, but this res is a pain to change out and i dont want to do it in the dark, and im tired at night when the lights come on. . . it takes me about an hour at least to change the res, and an hour and a half to water the scrog.

a few times when i pH'd it down too far because it was gaining a point a day, and only feeding once, so basically i have to do it right before feeding or its way off. also the meter is off when the lights are on, so i have to do it with the lights off because my electrical sucks here.

also, i added some open sesame once and some big bud, and cha ching, at the beginning of each of their respective first weeks of use. it was weak, but i dont know if it contributed to any burn or not.

i let the hydro dry out, bone dry on a couple occasions, and from what i read that's terrible for them. i let the scrog dry out a bit too much too, i've been watering once a week the whole journal. my schedule is hectic, it is what it is. the top has been crunchy dry a few times.

it seems whenever i get busy or go out of town something major happens.

the highest i've ever set my res this whole time is about 1.8 EC. it has been as high as 2.0 after some evap. but not really more than that.

well thats pretty much all of my problems i've had. . . plus add in not following the SS recipe to the t.

if you have any advice, thats why I'm here bro. i'm not here primarily to show you guys my shit (although it is fun) i'm really here to try to learn and get help to get better. so far, i'm not really getting much better with the wheel. it would be nice to have fan leaves left on the plants when i go to harvest. lol. :smokin2::smokin2::smokin2::smokin2::smokin2:

I don't think this is the right goal, but I'm basing my comment primarily from reading. Interested in hearing contrasting opinions.

Since different nutrients uptake more efficiently at different pH, and fail to uptake at all above and below a given value, letting the reservoir drift through it's spectrum is desirable in my opinion. I believe the goal is to ensure it stays in the key range and doesn't remain static.

I can't offer a contrasting opinion, because I think you are correct Soniq. I start at 5.2, and let it get to 6.2, then drop it back to 5.2. If it's steady at 5.8, I don't mess with it... but that's seldom the case. If it lingers too long in the low fives, I will bump it up.

I don't know what's going on in your system Wheel, but could it be a cal. deficiency from high ph? I think your ph is bouncing up, but correct me if I'm wrong. It could also just be the drying out - I've had that happen in the current system a couple of times - turned off the drip line to one plant by accident - and the leaves looked like they were burnt or cal def.
 
it was always hard for me to keep ph perfest or close with AN. everday it would jump so fast in like 6-10 hrsand somtime a point and a half but just 1 most times. i alway s liked AN but afte seeing vipers REsults with ph and growth i think i know who my next nute company is. and i know you just bought the entire line so did i except senzime and Budblood anyways. just crazy when he doesn't mess with his ph for like a week or more
