WheelO's - 360#2 - Auto Collection galore

shit i just went to change it from 1.5 hours to 1 hours and it had about a 4 hour period where it was on in addition to both waterings. i must have bumped it without realizing it. it was during a time i would be sleeping too, so i would never have noticed it without examining the timer.

i hope i didn't do too much damage. . . I think the smallest one is a goner.

Doh!!!! - timers are the week link in the chain for sure. I never trust them and always second guess them. The plant ought to recover well now that you have found the issue. You might want to try timeing your wheel to make sure how long it is taking to do a full turn, cause I know mine is more like 45 mins.

Cheers,
Maxx

yeah, its supposed to be 45 minutes, but i can only water in 30 min increments because of my timer. i need to get a new one.

i hope your right that they will recover, only one or two got it really badly.

Doh!!!! - timers are the week link in the chain for sure. I never trust them and always second guess them.

Use TWO timers. Use one to trigger a relay who's function is a make/break on the hot wire of whatever you're timing. Then use the other one to do the same only with the common wire. Set them both the same.

That takes care of the "timer failed to go off(/on)" situations.

I don't know what to do to take care of the "piece of junk got confused and is operating on its own clock now" ones.

Only thing that really sucks power in most cases is the light.

Rest of the average setup is all lower-wattage devices.

thanks nycal,

i hope that fix actually fixes my prob.
the smallest one is def gonna die.
oh well, as long as a few are healthy, this is really a seed run anyways.

its been cool lately and my room temps have been around 76-78. :cheertwo: properly venting the tent also helped alot.

i also refilled my co2 tank ( i set it to dose at 2cfh for 30 min, 3 times a day, its alot i know) bought some botanicare sweet, clearex, and some hygrozyme.

when i topped off my res I also added some sweet and hygrozyme. my EC is sitting at 1.63 EC. PH is 5.9. res temp is 74.

I will do a res change when my new RO gets here next week. its 4 stage 50gpd. I am hoping that with RO, i can get the nutes right.

I think im going to buy one of those aquarium top off systems so i can fill my RO into a big res and just top of a small res that has nutes. This will work well for now, and will tie in when I get the intellidose. When i do get one, i think im going to try to run a really small res, like 5 gal. and a top off RO res. this should make res changes easier, and save money on nutes.

yeah, ill still do res changes at every 2 weeks, but just to automate the top off process between res changes. a top off sensor and relay is like 50-60 bucks. plus you need a pump, but i have an extra. its just easier seeing im going to need an res to fill with RO, unless i want to wait 8-10 hours for my res to fill up naturally off the RO. if i get a re thats like 30 gal or so, then i can just pump out all of the old res water and let the fill do its thing at res changes too.

been a few days,
here is a photo update.

here is the biggest SR queen. anyone know what my decoloration problem is? gotta be nute related, and I get my RO tomorrow or the next day so i will do a change then.

yup, everything i got going right now are all autoflowers.

I've been thinking about it, and I think i might grab some holy shit clones and mother them up and do a normal clone grow when the LS's are done.

I read that seeds become more viable if they are aged at least a month before germination. Than means If i do a HS run, i could let the seeds set before i try to run them.

plus i can up my stash to hold me over more quickly.
