What's In Jim's Grow Room?

I'm still excited by the Jack Herer baby. Welcome to my world young lady!

Jack Herer and White Widow were in my first tent grow. JH became my favorite until I grew Chemdawg and Blue Dream. I love my variety and encourage all you growers to keep following your instincts for strains. That first JH was bred by Robert Bergman. This one is from Delicious Seeds so I'll be interested in the differences or similarities of the buds. Exciting stuff!

Pakistan Valley - Day 31

She just has a certain appeal. Indica appeal.

Blue Dream S1 - Day 22

She has the tightest nodes. I just don't remember a plant I've grown that had node spacing like this.

Sweet!! Love those leaves as well as tge spacing of nodes

It turns out that a spot on my leg is suspected to be Squamous Cell Skin Cancer. A biopsy of the tissue my doctor removed will confirm. Another spot on my arm was frozen and I think will just scab and fall off. Anyway, I'm in good care.

I'm really happy though. Grinning quite freely today. I'm about to have a new arrival. Meet Jack Herer from Delicious Seeds:

Silly me....can't see her can you? Try this:

The rest of the girls of Summer will get some bubbled water today. I really need to do something with the Blue Dream mom.

Now MagicJim, I say my friend, I'll be more than happy to come over the mountain and take that little Mom off your hands..... yes I will ! And while I'm there you can talk me into a parting Paki gift :high-five:

And MJ keep those thoughts positive on your up coming results, small prayer coming your way.... be at :peace: my friend.

Hey Jim, the cancer cells...... if you have any CCO, dab some on the spot and cover with a bandaid. Replace every 2-3 days, or daily if it gets washed off. It should make short work of the cancer. Cajun healed his in about 28 days.

Mom got her top removed and 2 cuts taken. In riot rooters TOAST style. Thanks for the prayer and thoughts.

Doc has me using a Mupirocin ointment under a bandage changed daily.

I have just a bit of CCO; dried in the bottom of a small container. I have lots of infused oil and some rosin. I also ran some frozen dry sift recently.

With the exception of the CCO, all the others could be partially contaminated with spores, bacteria, fungi or just regular household dust.

Now the rosin was pressed at 225o F from hash with a 45 micron bag. So this would be only partially decarbed as the press on lasts seconds, not minutes.

The kief was sifted through a 100 micron screen and therefore not decarbed. THC laden trichomes would dissolve in a small amount of oil I would think.

I wonder what would be the best? I'll use the infused oil this morning and go from there.

I like this idea a lot. I've already been advised that surgery could be several weeks out as the Mohs procedure is not performed by many in my area. Could be one of those doctor referral arrangements too.

Ahh man... I hope you can get the help you need mate.. saying one for you..

Yep...I have a great doctor and biopsy not yet confirmed but all is set up to get past this. Thanks

Quick update on girls of summer

Blue Dream mom with her top chopped

I actually need to do more trimming on her if she's truly going to be a mom. The two cuts from her top went into rooters and plastic bags for humidity.

Blue Dream S1 - Day 24

She got a little pop from the oxygenated water a few days ago. She'll get a little dose of nutes tomorrow I think.

Pakistan Valley - Day 33

What a charmer this one is. Again, it's my first indica so I really don't know what's ahead but I'm already loving her.

Her clone is still green and alive with leaf tips browning. I'm trying to root that one in very damp coco which was started 7/13/17 and no roots seen yet.

Jack Herer - Day 3

She was up canned this morning to a 1 gallon pot. She got a good shot of mycorrhizal fungi in the root zone of her new home.

I'll give her a little Earth Juice humic acid in about a week. She'll jump with joy if I didn't harm her during the transplant.

Over the past few weeks I've watched SweetSue's progress running hempies. Well you know that I had to try this. I'll start out using a hempy made from a 1 gallon vinegar jug. All taped up with a 5/8 inch drain. I'll use the Osmokote + for nutes.

I moved a BD S1 seed with a small root which emerged this morning in a damp tissue to a rock wool cube. This is another first for me....germing a seed in rock wool.

Jim, did you double wrap the vinegar bottle with duck tape? Two layers will give you better stability. Highly recommended.

It's the CCO that'll kick the cancer's butt.

Not double wrapped. It's stable enough for ... well maybe if I grow a huge tree. Hmmm. I don't think another layer of tape is going to work if I grow a huge tree.

I just saw your accident from yesterday and I've decided to design a support system. I almost broke my JH yesterday up canning. They're resilient but not indestructible. eh?

Short Sunday Update

The tent will be rocking soon if some beans would pop. I have one seed in my mix and one in rock wool. I've never germinated in rock wool but I know it can be done. I just need to make sure the top of the cube is moist. Both had tiny root stubs after a couple days in damp tissue. The rock wool young-en will go in the hempy pot I made.

In the tent but not photographed are a couple of Blue Dream cuts and a Pakistan Valley cut. I'm hopeful the Pak Valley cut will show some roots soon. She is in coco and I'm not sure of my logic there. It's been under a mayonnaise jar dome for a couple weeks now. Some clones are tougher than others and I used a rooting product that I know is 40+ years old.

Pakistan Valley and my Blue Dream S1 seedling are just beautiful veg plants. Color, leaf texture and form are better than expected. Here's a peek.

Jack Herer Very young at Day 4. Apparently my transplant went well and as long as it doesn't damp off it'll be ok. Second set of leaves started.

DSC_071517.JPG

Blue Dream Mom. Soon I'll have to move her out so others can be flowered. I just got a smaller power bill so I really don't look forward to cranking up the other light and fan.

Pakistan Valley Day 35 She'll get her a new pot next week.

DSC_072119.JPG

Blue Dream S1 Day 26 I guess I'm partial to this one as she is my creation. Cannabis is so pretty at this stage of their lives.

I've been using the infused oil tablets made from her mom. I'm really starting to like staying high for several hours without toking up.

Blue Dream in hempy gets a start

I really wasn't going to post today but I need to document the start of this hempy. Much to my surprise I checked for seedlings this morning and found that the Blue Dream seed that went to a rock wool cube on July 28 was up. Just the cotyledons but it's green and I went ahead and cut the tape off the cube and set it in the hempy pot. I'm going to the nursery a little later to try to find some liquid kelp and to get some FoxFarm Grow for hydro. Even though the hempy was built with Osmocote Plus, I intend to supplement the nutes if necessary.

Well.....what a delicious surprise. I'm on my way to my own garden and you distracted me. :kisstwo: Off to a great start Jim. :high-five: And may I say, the rest of them are looking chipper this morning.

Lots of stuff happening in the tent and elsewhere I'm sure.

New additions since the last update are two Blue Dream clones which I put into solo cup hempies. These were tossed into a cup of tap water and sat in my kitchen window. I saw 6 in long roots on them yesterday and decided to build the cups. There is Osmo+ in there but I'm really not certain of a proper amount.

Pakistan Valley and the Blue Dream S1 were taken out and photographed. They're looking good. Soon I'll transplant these into 7.5 gal softies. BD still exhibiting a very tight structure whereas PV now gaining inter-nodal space.

Jack Herer just a few days old and I hope will go through normal root/plant development.

Huh! Never thought to try kelp with the plugs. Good idea Jim. :hugs: Damn, you grow some pretty plants. The juveniles are absolutely stunning. You get such tight nodes. So many of my recent brood decided to try for wider node spacing. Lol! May I ask, what distance from the light do you maintain for seedlings and young vegging plants?
