What's In Jim's Grow Room?

I ventured back into that tick infested woods line this morning. I may indeed put some Ultra Dog seedlings back in here to give the Black Cherry Punch some company. She might be lonely.

Actually she has a whole branch that's shriveling so I'll have to take some clippers next time I visit to cut that off. She has some internals that are yellowing and probably due to lack of light. We've had 8 inches or more of rain in the past few days so there's plenty of water for her.

Her little flowers still look good but they don't appear to be growing much. Anyway.....here's what she looks like:

Argh....Pests maybe.

These Ultra Dogs are going to drive me crazy. Maybe you'll remember that these seedlings were outside early in their lives in my feeble attempt to acclimate them as early as possible as my intent was to plant them outdoors. 7 of 7 seeds popped and 4 looked good early on.

The 3 ugliest were up-canned into 1 gallon containers thinking that I might save them as they looked hopeless many weeks ago. The 4 in six inch round pots have since gone down hill and I've been watching them closely. Since that time I popped a Carnival and a TK 91 seed followed by 3 seeds of a cross of ATF x Jellium.

Yesterday I noticed some white spots on the Carnival but she's so low in the pot I wasn't able to see anything unusual on her or the TK 91. I sprayed these two last night with Insecticidal soap.

Here are the ugly looking UDs which show what appears to be lots of deficiencies but I was able to trim a couple of fans this afternoon for inspection. These have had non-uniform growth and have been suspect for a while but I also thought that I might have planted in some soil that had not been amended.

I didn't see anything under the leaves but a few dark spots but nothing moving or anything that looked like pests. I used the 60x scope and one that goes up to 200x and both are difficult to operate but my 30x loupe doesn't cut it for russet/hemp mites. It might see a spider mite which is the only type I've dealt with before.

Here are the 3 UDs that were up-canned early and I don't believe are infested. Whoops....I guess I neglected to photograph one of them. In any event these look unaffected so far.

The ATF x Jellium girls

I guess I forgot to photograph the Carnival and the TK 91 but they were the first to show any white spots.

So anyway....here's what I did. I mixed up 16 fluid ounces of Spinosad with a few drops of surfactant and sprayed like hell on the undersides and all over. I did this outside and they were all drenched. All of them are outside in the shade to prevent any light spotting. All the trays were washed and I cleaned the tent one more time with a good cleaner and followed up with bleach water.

What I'll probably do is to attempt to grow the four ugly UDs outside in the woods area nearby. They might not do a thing out there but if any males surface I'll have an opportunity to collect some pollen.

I'm not going to fight pests and heat indoors this summer. Nope...I'm just not going to do it. I'll spray every 3 days for a couple of weeks but I'd rather start a sterile batch of soil and new seeds if necessary.

A lot of your plants look like they are getting way to much nitrogen. That is causing calcium, Magnesium and probably Phosphorus to be locked out.
I did give them a shot of Grow many weeks ago but nothing is being fed on a consistent basis. More likely a pH issue as my old pen had to be replaced. I've been using the new pen slightly less than 2 weeks.
I was thinking the same thing there real dark green and clawing but I will say that ud doesn't like being in a container that being said I would up pot them to a bigger house and also jim are all of them in the same soil just curious!
New soil going into every up can. Cheap potting soil but has fertilizer in it. It will be water only until late flower. Not my style but I'm getting lazier.

Thanks for the comments guys...It give me something to think about.

I up canned the Carnival and the TK 91. I'll continue the spraying just in case. Sticky these were started in the new soil.

Can’t wait to see how the TK91 finishes.
That's primarily the one I'm interested in also.

I've decided to banish all the ugly UDs. They are gathered together in the back yard for the moment and I'll do something with them but they won't be coming back in.

I'm not sure what I did to them. Thinking back I know I gave them a tea of kelp and microbe brew yet my written journal back in the GR didn't have many entries for April or May as if unconsciously I wanted no record. No doubt this virus pandemic has had an effect.

Here's the gang of dogs who got another 1 1/2 inch of rain last night.

#1 looks terrible. The other 3 may actually recover.

I'll put these out in the woods back there and try to find some brighter areas where they'll get a bit of light.

OK....so I think we're making a bit of progress here. I'm going to do something with the Ultra Dogs here real soon....I just don't know what until I have a chance to search for soft pots. All of them are in box in the storage building...

I up canned the ATF x Jellium seedlings into 1 gallon plastic pots and yesterday Carnival and TK 91 got new shoes. Tomorrow I'll mix up some more Spinosad and spray again. I'll be spraying something every 3 days.

Proof of Life over in the 3 x 3

Here's what I smoked yesterday. She's almost 4 years old. I'm here to tell you that this Jack Herer hasn't lost much more than terpenes. THC has hardly degraded at all.

Subbing in Jim...looking for to growing those ultra dogs out. Will follow along as of this page . Nice to met ya brotha :passitleft::420::green_heart:

Glad to have you Joe.....My little grow here doesn't compete well with your outdoor girls but I now have 2 UDs hidden in the woods behind my lot here.

Well make sure you give then light bud.

I'm sure you pre scouted ?

Yesterday I started cleaning up in the grow room and found a small sack of weed that @bobrown14 grew. It was marked night time? and it was opened so I know I sampled it. Perhaps it was at night and I just put it on the back burner. Anyway I smoked some this morning. Wowser. This stuff will make your ears ring. Platinum Kush Mints x Gelato 45 is nice.

Outside temperatures have been in the 90s F and some of the girls have suffered some stress from that and the 2 sprayings of Spinosad. They were scheduled for spray yesterday but I put it off until later today. I sometimes take the approach that they will grow out of this little funk.

UDs are getting healthy new leaves and TK 91 is quickly becoming my favorite. I'm just loving that leaf structure on this child. This is my first time with the Carnival but I've seen a few grows. She and the Triangle Kush cross got topped recently so I expect some branching to begin soon.

The ATF x Jellium project is on track. They are coming along fine I guess.

I'll get some pictures of others later. Stay medicated folks. :bongrip:
