What's In Jim's Grow Room?

I took a cutting off of my Grandpa Punch plant 41 days ago and thought it was never going to root. Finally yesterday I spotted a couple roots. Your UD girls are looking happy as can be under your new light.

count me in to this journal jim! do you still do DWC? or are you just growing in organic soil? :passitleft:

High Red. I've never done any DWC. I ran some hempy once but everything else is just peat, perlite and minerals. Glad to have you watching.

Dogs... Lets talk about that rabbit in the garden.
That's one of the few animals I haven't seen around these parts. Lots of foxes. I think they like wabbits.

Black Cherry Punch growing in the pines. I guess I could go back in this journal and find out when I put this one in the ground. We've had overcast for 4 days while we got a shade over 3 inches of rain. It seems BCP girl must have enjoyed this and decided to bloom. I gather she will either reveg or continue on her merry way. Daylight is 14 hours 10 minutes.

Drive-by.

Been along time,, my bad..

The tent looks tight. Self-contained,, add water...

I'm going to have to watch that BCP if she flashes that color this early.. She might be a flashy finisher? I'm not sure if she's a rerun?

Hows your phosphorus levels?

I ask cus some plant strains have different likings for this nutrient in the teenage cycle?. And it's a problem I have with my darkest strains over the green ones.

Good to see you Woody. So here's the deal on the color (I think). North Carolina can have some funky temperature swings and I don't have one of those auto thermostats. So in late afternoons I have to turn the AC on and I forget to switch it back to heat for the mornings which can be in the 30s. So I wake up and it's chilly inside. Older house with little insulation. I think the cold in this house turned Jellium and Black Cherry Punch with some color.

I wouldn't know how to measure the phosphorus. I don't add it. The soil mix uses KIS organics amendment but I don't know what the ratios are right off hand.

Some times all I try to do is keep the plants alive. If they want to add a bit of color it's just ok with me. Cheers.

I had to operate on the TK91 seed the last two days but I think she finally has straightened out and should be on her way. Her helmet required careful removal and the first true leaves forced the membrane from the cotyledons to split. She's on her way.

The Carnival seed is missing a cotyledon but she'll be ok. I really don't remember how that happened but it's just one of those things which can happen. I know from experience that the seed has to be buried at the proper level below the soil to create enough friction to shred the seed covering but I just didn't get either correct this time.

All the Ultra Dogs are growing nicely although some look a little rough. I had intended to put #1 through #4 outdoors and hope to get these moved out this week. #5 through #7 were upcanned into 1 gallon plastic pots and I hope to run these just like they are. The Jellium mom from the other tent will eventually join these under the new lights for the flowering period.

That's all I have today folks. Wake and bake was a vintage Jack Herer followed by a bit of Jellium. North Carolina finally allowed my hair stylist to open and I was able to hook up a hair cut this morning. I sure feel a bit better about wearing shorter hair. Stay medicated...Stay safe.
:bongrip:

I've cut my own here since 2001. I wonder how much I've saved in those 19 years? Between giving up store bought hair cuts, cigarettes, and DirecTV I may be saving enough to buy some seeds! :woohoo:

I can't wait to see how your plants do outside this summer.

I was on the verge of beginning to believe in peoples' humanity and spiritual growth when shit went sideways in Minneapolis and spread throughout the country. I was so wrong.

Green herbs continues over here in Jim's world so let's see them. First up are recent seedlings Carnival and TK 91. I forgot to turn the fans off and hands have the shakes a bit this morning.

All the Ultra Dogs have been under the new light and appear to be doing well. I hope I can find spots outdoor for the 4 in six inch round pots.

The other 3 in one gallon plastic pots will be flowered where they are. All of them were topped this week. A couple might have been fimmed because my eye sight isn't good. You'll note that I only photographed 4 plants because I'm lazy.

All of my cuts appear to be rooted but I have at least 2 nice ones that will likely get moved into new pots this weekend.

Looking good

I've tried to just stay out of the way of the girls just vegging away in the flower tent. Ultra Dogs #1 though #4 still haven't been set outside yet and I've ruled out one more spot. I may just have to stick them in some shady spots although I continue to look for some of those "in plain sight" spots. I've had some other things that have needed my attention recently but I'll concentrate the rest of the week trying to find worthy spots.

Ultra Dogs - To me these F3s appear to be almost identical. One might have slightly fatter leaves but they really look consistently alike. They were all recently topped so we'll see how they branch going forward. UD #5 through #7 will remain in the tent and will be flowered indoors.

The TK 91 and the Carnival seedlings continue to grow.

Over in the 3 x 3 I up-canned all the moms because I was tired of trying to water them every 2 days. I still have some topping to do so I can flower these and I expect that to be about 3 weeks off.

Finally, there are the cut trying to gain roots. After these pictures I up-canned the tallest Black Cherry Punch and destroyed the roots on the second one trying to remove it from its solo cup. I'll try to save it.

One of these Jelliums is not rooted and will be going to the compost pile.

Hey Jim! I'm in agreement with you. The Ultra Dogs all look pretty darn similar in appearance.
