What's In Jim's Grow Room?

That's one of the few animals I haven't seen around these parts. Lots of foxes. I think they like wabbits.

It's a nice percolator you got their, that was a wascally wabbit wasn't it?

It's June here in eastern NC and the air conditioner runs. Thermometer says 103o F because the sun is hitting the sensor. It's actually around 93 o F and I just took the little buggy out for a spin. Burned the palm of my hand on the shifter. Hot. Makes me try to remember why I decided to run during the summer which begins in a few weeks.

The girls are just growing away and it looks like all the secondaries have been energized by the topping. I am seeing some differences in leaves so there are at least two different phenos here. Freakin' exciting. Deficiency showing in a couple and I keep thinking I might have used some un-amended soil in those pots by mistake. A dose of Demeter's Destiny from the Nectar for the gods line is liquid calcium and they should be good for a while. I'm sure it's the Chem influence that makes them so calcium needy. Could also be grower error.

The seedlings are slow but growing. They really haven't recovered from the drench I gave them last night.

The moms and cuts in the 3 x 3. All the moms got new 2 gallon shoes this week.

Your UD plants have really grown since your last update! They are all looking nice and healthy.

I probably missed it, but these Ultra Dawg plants are from regular seeds correct? You'll be looking for females?

Yes they are regular seeds. If I find a male he will most likely be used to create some F4 seeds.

My outdoor location got eliminated this morning so I might have to flip and sex them right in the tent. Seems like I've crapped out on this outdoor grow.

Lookin like your lady friends may want some CalMag. I'm just cruisin on by MJ. Bummer about the outdoor grow.

"Baked Daily" Love it!!!!!

:green_heart:
Good to see you again Age. Cruisin here on a bowl of Jellium shake from last year's harvest. The shake came from a seed search.
Sorry about the outdoor Jim, next year.
Well I still have Black Cherry Punch out there. She just doesn't get that full sun.

I had given half of that Jellium shake to a friend and got a text about how good it was even if it was from seeded bud. This got me thinking about what it was crossed with. I had pollen from two males and this connection was with ATF.

The primary issue with Jellium is that she doesn't branch reducing the yield. Anyway, I went to the seed box and pulled out 3 seeds. Again, these are regulars and 2 of the 3 came up this morning. Actually I can see some green on the third so she'll be up later today. These will be grown in Jolly Gardener potting soil as I just ran out of my mix.

Maybe I'll get a male and female and this breeding phase I'm growing through here will be fruitful.

Have a great day. I'm still hanging out here near the house staying away from people for the most part. :bongrip:

Oh heck, I didn't need a pandemic to stay away from people for the most part! But I'm glad you're being smart. The numbers in our State are on the rise.

I still haven't quite figured out what I'm going to end up growing over here. Lots of things going on - all with different time frames. There are seven Ultra Dogs in the 4 x 4 which are somewhat ready to be flowered and I'm ready to see what the new light will do. I expect all kinds of problems with heat. So far I haven't seen anything higher than 86o F but I know it could get into the 90s F fairly quickly through the next few months.

Anyway. Here's some pictures I took this morning with my point and shoot camera.

Ultra Dogs

I trimmed the bottom fans off of #3 just to see any difference in side branching.

The other two that will be up-canned here in the next few days are the Carnival and TK 91. I'm really looking forward to the TK 91 primarily because I'm a big Chem fan but also because I've never sampled any Triangle Kush. It really should be a treat. You'll see a bit of heat stress on these.

Last year I created some seeds using some borrowed pollen from an ATF male and the Jellium that I was flowering at the time. All 3 of the ATF x Jellium seeds germinated and are doing well. I don't necessarily believe in Unicorns but I do believe new crosses should be put to the test and I'm just getting older and running out of time here to see what I can contribute. The Jellium is too good but just doesn't branch well and you don't get much. Hopefully these will retain all the goodness of each strain and branch a bit giving more flowers.

Over in the 3 x 3 I have the moms and some cuts and clones.

Enjoy your day folks. According to the weather map I saw this morning, it looks like almost all of the Northern hemisphere is going to be beautiful. I had Y Griega in my bowl this morning. :bongrip:

With your new light if you were to purchase a longer cord you could locate the driver outside your tent which would GREATLY help with a heat problem if you had one. Plants are all looking fantastic.

What’s up Jim? Plants look good, I’m also excited to see that TK91. Couple of real heavy hitters in that gene pool.

With the Jellium have you tried topping aggressively to force the side branches up?

Yep...I've done that. I'm pretty sure @beez0404 also tried without much success. She just didn't branch and poor mom has the same structure. I don't do a bunch of tying down and hanging fishing weights and such.

It's really not an issue for Jellium. It's potent AF and I'm hoping the genetic pool will blend well.

The Jellium do better with side branching when grown from seed. But not monumentally better.
