What's In Jim's Grow Room?

The 2 Black Cherry Punch clones I had in 1 gallon plastic pots were transplanted to a couple of 2 gallon softies. I have copies of the BCP and Jellium already rooted in solo cups. Somewhere I'm going to make an area just for keeping clones alive and I might just run them under CFLs.

The top of one of the BCP girls appeared to have a few light brown spots of probable powdery mildew. I cut the whole top of one off to inspect it closely. I'll spray her with a little milk (or some of that fungicide) tomorrow.

It just goes to show you....if it isn't one thing, it's another. It's always something.

GL if ya got it try the green cleaner... Shit works wonders...

I finally got around to taking a close look at the plants and giving the Jelliums and the Black Cherry Punches that spraying of insecticidal soap. Sorry Wood but I didn't have any green cleaner.

Anyway, I dried them well with 2 fans blowing and got them back into the 3 x 3 tent. I'll mix up something for them tomorrow and later next week I'll begin a flowering schedule. At least everything is green at this point and I still have some trimming of the branch tips. These two strains have been on my menu since September and rank right up there for heavy hitting potency. Either of these two are good for getting things done.

I may also flower the Pakistan Valley at the same time.....We'll see.

Well I've been high af since the September harvest which included the Jellium and the Black Cherry Punch so they get another run at it. Yep...I enjoyed the high from those two that much. :yahoo: I also potted up the Pakistan Valley clone that's been hanging around for a couple years and I have some special plans for her.

In a few days I'm going to mix up a batch of silver thiosulfate (STS) to see if those chemicals are still good and attempt to make a few S1 seeds of the PV and if she can spare a bit of pollen we'll cross her with the Jellium and the BCP. It ought to be fun. I kind of hope it works as Jellium could use a little branch structure and that particular cross could be beneficial in a couple of ways. Yeah buddy....pollen chucking and I'll never live long enough to grow out all the crosses I've already made or acquired.

Everything in the tent got a mix of Nectar for the Gods and I'll give them all some beneficial enzymes from a barley malt tea late next week. These have been neglected for quite a while and I trimmed lots of branch ends this morning so if these stretch a bit I guess I'll be in the super cropping business before you know it. Most of this soil is somewhere around 6th generation amended with KIS Organic's Nutrient Pack. Good stuff. Add your own homemade compost tea and it's makes for a sweet organically grown product.

So here's the lineup: :theband:

Pakistan Valley is dead in the center

And over in the 3 x 3 are all the keepers from the past couple of grows.

Looking for a mid January harvest. Here we go! :bongrip:

Good looking lineup you have running there, Jim. All top shelf strains.

Digital timer went on early this morning as scheduled and went off 40 minutes later. It seems I'll have to reset the thing and reprogram. I'm good with that.

Wake n bake was Chem 91 x ADC so I'm working hard to make sure that and the Sour Angel get some roots here. I take the humidity domes off each morning for about 15 minutes hoping those tender leaves will stay up. Still working on in. Roots are not yet visible so I might remove the dome a couple times a day beginning today.

While doing a little cleaning up this morning I found some stuff from years ago. My best friend in college gave me this pipe. May he rest in peace.

Years ago I bought this spring scale. At the time it was thought to be one of the best for weighing small amounts. Of course these knocked out to an extent by digital scales. I used mine just to make sure I wasn't completely being ripped off.

Have a great day folks. :bongrip:

I see that scale only goes up to 1oz. You sure that wasn't your fishing scale, Jim? ;)

When I take cuttings using the clear and colored solo cups I leave the dome on for two days. On the third day I sort of tilt is on an angle making a big open crack at the bottom to let in air. I leave it like that for 2 days at which time I start weening the cuttings out from under the domes. Since I'm pretty much here all day I start with 15 minutes with the domes off. When the alarm on my phone goes off I go check on them. If they look perfect, no sag whatsoever, I reset the alarm for another 15 minutes. If it still looks perfect I reset the alarm for 30 minutes and again check it when the alarm goes off. If still perfect ( now no dome for 60 mins) I set it again for 30 minutes. If they still look good I put the domes back on and let them rest till the next day.

The following day I start with the domes off for 40 minutes. If good go another 40 minutes. If still good after that total of 1hr and 20 mins I set the alarm for 1 hour. If they still look strong after 1 hour I put the domes away. Does not mean they have roots per say, but they have enough to be able to support themselves. It's real important not to water them except with an eye dropper along the rim of the clear solo cup. Your medium should be plenty moist enough from when you took the cuttings. If the cups feel like they're getting light water a little around the edge drawing the roots to the walls of the clear cups.

There's this beautiful pond at the end of my road and I fished there 3 times this past year. Lots of little biting sunfish and I actually caught quite a few but nothing bigger than my thumb. I decided that the beautiful pond was only good for visiting. But yes...I could have weighed most of them with this scale.

There really has been little change here. I made a barley concentrate but decided to just hold it in the refrigerator and use a tea I made from my own compost. I just wanted to see if the plants hated it or not but all looks good so I guess I'll use it again. I did bubble the tea overnight and I added a TSP of molasses to feed the microbes. Based on the lack of bubbles I suspect microbes are in short supply. I separated this small amount of compost back in July so it might have just gone flat.

Anyway....I think they look a bit fuller in mass than when they went into a 12/12 light schedule.

Staying high on this Jellium. It really is something special. :bongrip:

The clones in the bloom tent got a nice Barley malt tea last week and the enzyme boost has the girls going nicely into flower as I've noticed increased pistil formation for the past two days. I think of this as similar to a young lady entering puberty and developing nicely. Anyway....one BCP (front right) seems to suffer from some leaf drooping near the top but my probe says she's moderately moist so I think there might be some type of void in the soil. I have to transplant the replacement clones from their solo cups so I'll see if a soil top dressing will help. Here's the photo dump.

Have a great day folks. Wake n bake this morning is Purple Punch. I'm not quite sure what I think about PP all by itself.

A real healthy looking group of plants. Should fill that tent up nicely.

Hi Jim, glad to see you're a LOS grower with KIS. I haven't tried their Nute pack but am a noob on my 2nd run of the rev's v2.2 beginning the other day. Loving it and looking forward to it's 6th gen! Nice plants!
