What's In Jim's Grow Room?

I lost the end of November due to some sort of intestinal illness that laid me low for a few days. I missed a watering somewhere around Friday or Saturday and got the girls hydrated Sunday I think. Much of my misery was a blur actually as I got a bunch of rest but very little else was accomplished.

Anyway, the dry period caused a lot of dry or yellowing fans which I'll just pull off and trash them. They got one gallon of compost tea distributed throughout the tent this morning and I'll drench them again tomorrow.

I pollinated 3 of these but I can't tell if any magic is at work yet so I'll just have to wait on any seed production. I usually see some pistil change but there is very little evidence showing.

Here's the pictures at flower day 25.

The one bright spot was the 3 day tolerance break. My bowl of Chem 91 x ADC from this morning brings me a renewed appreciation for that particular chemovar. :bongrip:

Hi Sticky....I used both the ciskei and the ATF and that would have been Nov 26. I think I dusted a couple more branches on Wed. Nov 27. I haven't looked all that closely but I've usually seen a shriveled pistil somewhere and I think I saw one this morning but it might have just been a damaged pistil.

The branches I first used were really low down so I'll likely inspect closely tomorrow and hit them again if I have anything left.

When I get them out tomorrow I'll let you know if I see any signs of success. I did have enough sense to mark the branches properly but it just doesn't look like anything is working right now. I do appreciate the donation though as I didn't get around to making any STS for a reversal.

im going to dust my Durban and black dog tonight see if they'll go ill let you no to I hope it works for both of us good luck buddy!

Sorry to hear you were under the weather, Jim. I was spared a bad head cold as Lisa is house sitting this week and came down with a bad cold on Monday. I hope you get to feeling all better very soon. You have babies who need you to care for them.

Sticky....I only inspected closely the Pakistan Valley girl to see if I could tell if any of the pollen worked. Hmmm. I'd have to say it's possible that 5 maybe 6 pistils browned and shriveled. I could see the particles of what I believe to be pollen on those pistils. So I'm just going to be positive about whether seeds form.

I've taken the pollen out of the freezer and I'll use all of the remaining amount tomorrow when it's all at room temperature.

Actually feeling really good today. Mowed the lawn. Did the trimming and some spraying. After that I took that roadster out for a bit of a spin. Most days I go slow. It's almost 60 F here and the skies are clear. Just great weather for going fast though and I hit the rev limiter twice.

Looking good Jim, glad you bounced back from some shitty bug (no pun intended), ladies are stacking nicely.

Thanks for the kind thoughts UA. Good to see you pop in. and the girls are looking good. Crazy that they look so nice in spite of how I treat them.

Loving the sound of the strains you’re running.
Looking great!
:yummy:

Thanks DonkeyDick. I've run all these before and they are really nice weed. I've smoked a lot of bad weed but not since I've been growing my own. I've had an abundance of help from the crowd around here at 420 Mag.
:420:
I've had Jellium in my bowl today. I may go wash my little car and put a cover on it for a while. :bongrip:

One day next week I'll have to clean the withered leaves from the girls in the bloom room as I managed to once again screw up a watering. Lazy grower style. Somehow I managed to do my yard work outside but never looked into the tent since Thursday when I checked for pollinated flowers on Pakistan Valley. It seems the PV, and Jellium are more drought tolerant than Black Cherry Punch.

I took PV out this morning after I drenched all the pots and dusted her with all the rest of the Ciskei pollen that my friend Sticky supplied. That's it for this pollination attempt. It will either work or not yet I feel like I'll get a seed or two with some South African influence. I don't remember that PV grew dank loud stink before but she's putting out some odor here that even gets my attention. Buds are filling in daily and quite impressed. She's in the center of the tent which provides her all that light.

Yesterday I took the Sour Angel and Chem 91 x Aliendog Cherry out of those little solo cups where they began their lives and moved them into 1 gallon plastic pots. I'm just not consistent enough on my watering duties to handle 2 different schedules and I have never liked solo cups much. LOL.
:lot-o-toke:

Anyway...here's proof of life for those clones today. :bongrip:

The damage I did to the girls last week when they drooped from lack of moisture really killed a bunch of fans that I groomed out of there this morning.....except for that one leaf. I had to get that after I took the pictures. I'm going to try my best to pay better attention to their watering.

Jellium - I don't think I'll ever grow one properly. It's such a quality herb that a little goes a long way so maybe I'm doing all that can be done. These suffered the largest of the leaf loss so maybe I should keep them a little damp.

Black Cherry Punch - These are just plugging away.

Pakistan Valley
- I'm still not sure about the pollination working here but signs are good with some browning and receding pistils. She looks the best of the tent as she sits right under the LED and just soaks the light up. She might grace us with a bit of purple if temperature cools a bit. I just didn't take a lot of pictures of her. My bad.

Have a great day folks. :bongrip:

The girls don't look much worse for wear. I have a reminder set on my phone for every other day. Of course there are days it goes off and I have to pause and think "why the hell is that going off" LOL But I do find it's helpful.

My first attempt at pollination (and a sativa) recently was a success. One or two branches on each plant. Well since then its been like they were strafed with napalm. Burning, curling, leaf loss. So sensitive. I will definitely have seeds, but not sure how much bud I will be able to get. Couple lessons learned.

I collected pollen from a Mulanje x Swaziland male, and dusted two Mulanje x Swaziland females, and also dusted a CBDream.

Your plants at least are healthy. Never seen you with a bad Pakistan Valley kush. Just love that deep green and robust branching. Hopefully the pollen did its thing.

Today 3 of the 5 measured dry so I prepped 2 gallons of some stuff for them. The 2 Jellium measured on the moist side so they only got a topping off. What caught my eye this morning were some differences in pistils of the two Black Cherry Punches so I got the camera out and took some photos.

While I try very hard to keep clones marked as quickly as possible when the cuts are made, it's always possible to get something mixed up. Right now I'm not quite sure that both clones came from the same mom but I wanted to document it in some way. BCP #1 appears to have flatter pistils and some browning already at 35 days. Now that the pictures are done they look more similar to me. I was originally thinking that somehow I got an It's It Punch in the mix somehow. Pretty high right now so that could be part of it too. I also had a Purple Punch in the tent last run so now I may have to go back and look at those buds. Crap, that could be a bunch of work so I might just call it good and move on. :bongrip:
