What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Love the bud shots Jim. Looking good.

Cheers.

I'm taking notes on when your BD finishes. I'll be starting some BD later this year.

Your girls definitely need that support. Her buds look fat and heavy.

Looks great

Thank you guys for the kind words. Yep, these buds are dense and gaining weight. So many of my plants require staking. The branches are usually strong enough which actually allows for just tipping over and up-rooting things. I think the only branches that have ever broken were all assisted by me.

I'll be glad when I get out of these 1 gallon pots and move on to more soil.

Thanks guys for stopping by. :Namaste:

Well you are close Jim. Have they flushed cloudy yet?

That gooey trichome shot is the first I've ever seen like that Magical Man. Good eye. :high-five: I'd venture to say that's a sight every one of us would like to claim came out of our own gardens.

You know, Ziggy once proved that you get more yield out of a tent full of budscicles. It's just not satisfying in the same way, is it? You find yourself yearning for some big, statuesque beauties. It's part of the reason I run such a varied crew. I want it all. :cheesygrinsmiley:

We have some amber this morning but I'm giving them another day at least.

Don't know about more yield. Potency is more likely what I seek. What I want right now is to finish this grow and move on to some new stuff in larger pots.

Looking good Jim. They look close to the finish line. :thumb:

Thanks Blaze. I'll harvest this week.

Happy Fourth of July

Today, the first of the Blue Dream S1 seeds that I picked and planted on June 24 has germinated. I didn't soak these seeds, no paper towel; just straight into Jiffy mix and watered well. I say watered well, but I'm pretty sure there were some air pockets until I added some water after first planting. 11 days in and I'm now pretty happy.

This is pretty heady stuff....reversing the sex of a plant, pollinating and harvesting seed. Then seed springs to life.

S1 seeds for the win. I wish I had taken a better photo of her.

Here's Pakistan Valley (Day 10) which I'm really excited about.

Welcome little one

How sweet, freed from the soil on Independence Day. :battingeyelashes:

Jim, Jim, Jim, I don't have a clue how I missed this grow!I just found it today so I went to day one and here I am near your end. Good Job MagicJim :thumb: I learned so much in just a few pages. It's worth the time to go all the way back so as not to miss a single step you took. I did read where you tossed the mothers.... but then you now have a BD mother clone... did you by chance save that Panama ? :phew: Ole Rooster 1 pleased to be in your garden once again....

great job Jim. Looking beautiful. I also followed the recipe for Silver thiosulphate solution that Nis posted in his journal with great success. From your previous posts and the look of the cola you posted above, expect to find lots of seeds in your other plants if you pollenated in the same growing tent/area. I pollenated my female in a seperate room but I was not careful enough so I know I have a seeded crop now. Nevermind...lesson learned...and at least I'll have hundreds of good-quality SLH seeds). So I no longer have to hope that seeds purchased will turn out to be strong plants - now I can throw down 30 or so at a time and only pick the strongest ones that germinated overnight. Heady stuff indeed :)

Well done.. something about late than never :passitleft:

High Rooster1. It's good to see you again. Yes, I took a BD clone from the mom before she went to the ditch. No, I didn't keep the Panama. She was the green pheno and really didn't ring my bell. I did pollinate a part of a branch with pollen from the Fast n Vast x Master Kush male. So her genes are in a few seeds I have.

Hello SLHLover. I was wondering how your reversal project went. Yes....I wasn't nearly as careful as I thought I was.

Feel free to post a pic or several over here if you wish. :high-five:

My gut tells me that the seeds do require all the plant's resources and that's why the trichome ripening to amber is delayed. Nothing I have read has told me this. It just makes sense somehow.

Thanks for stopping by Grizz.

Ofcourse, make total sense, energy been directed elsewhere..

Blue Dream Clones Flower Day 63

SweetSue had me go for a Chemdawg jar this morning. I've spent a bunch of time in the GR basically checking. I check too often. What's that old saw....a watched pot never boils. Same here...not much progress but I'm hopeful amber will develop so I can harvest this bunch.

Anyway, I got some nice bud photos but only uploaded a few. I also took a small bud from the bottom of one and used that USB microscope to try to get some good trichome shots. It's impossible to have all trichomes in focus and hit a button to take a picture.

Pics of the new seedlings in here too.

I need to revisit one of those jars. She had the most interesting aroma. Similar to Pine-sol or bowling alley wax. The high was a little speedy and top of head. I might roll me a joint of that and test drive it again.

I used trimmings to make a bunch of hash and then I got a bug to buy a press and pressed all the hash into rosin. Great terpenes and quite a lovely high.

Yep...I'll get me a Panama green joint going here in a few.

Oh...almost forgot. The brownies I made was made with Panama. I can only do about 1/3 of a brownie. It is great in edibles.
