What's In Jim's Grow Room?

Blue Dream Clones Flower Day 52

I realize that one day does not make a trend but I loved the look of all the girls this morning following their first compost tea. Yeah...they didn't die. They appear bright and vibrant. That's about all I can ask.

I really don't know what I expected but they're just blooming away. Sometime next week I think I'll be harvesting something.

I got up early this morning, fixed my coffee, fed my cats and smoked a bowl of White Widow and Pineapple Express. Wow...that's a pretty good mix for me. Washed the car, washed myself and now I'm going to put the top down and cruise for a while. I won't be taking any joints with me so I'll leave this right here:

Have a delightful cruise Magical One. :kisstwo:

Thanks, I'll pass it on. :passitleft:

For what it's worth...I had a great time cruising around. I have to buy a new top for that car this summer. Yikes. There goes any spare money I could have bought lights with. I guess it all makes me appreciate what I have.

Seed update

Since I'm coming up on almost 30 days since final pollination (May 27) I thought I'd peek at one of the bottom buds from the last plant pollinated. I found about 5 seeds that might be mature enough to germ. I'm going to bury all 5 in a coir pellet and see what happens. This will be straight up seed planting without any soaking or paper towels. I think I read somewhere that I should let the seeds rest for 7 to 10 days but I also think this is a better test. I figure if there's a failure it should come right here. I love seeds.

In any event, I'll probably give the girls bearing S1 seeds another full week after I harvest the girls that weren't intentionally pollinated.

I'm learning loads from following your journey. Thanks Jim!

Love the seeds Jim.

Cheers.

Thanks all for the love.

We have one success story to report this morning. I've managed to coax one Pakistan Valley girl to pop. She left her hat right on the soil surface and strolled on out. Now her cotyledons need to separate and leave a little room for her first true leaves. She's sitting in the kitchen window now. I need to make sure the other tent is cleaned today.

I'm getting excited about this. Another first for me. A 100% pure landrace indica.

From WOS:
From the Hindu Kush mountain range (Northern Pakistan).

After a selection process lasting several years, we bring you a pure origin Indica ideal for indoor growing.

Unmistakable for her robust, well-branched appearance, strong aroma and high potency, this is one of the best indoor strains in the world.

Sweet, intoxicating and intense in her effect, her elevated CBD levels makes this the quintessential medicinal strain.

I found out that World of Seeds claimed the high CBD level but never tested for CBD according to the poster who copied some email recieved for WOS.

OMM (may he RIP) had one growing outdoors that I thought was a beauty. Now if I could get something like that going indoors I might just want to keep it in veg.

Blue Dream Clones Flower Day 54

I keep thinking I'll see a little amber but no. I'll blame it on the light.

The girls were placed on a 12/12 schedule Apr 24 so they've been working for quite a few days now. 63 days actually. Stuff certainly should be thinking about finishing. Maybe just a couple of more days and to tell the truth, I really didn't feel like harvesting anything today. Too stoned and a little tired from mowing and trimming this morning. That lawn grass hasn't quit as it's had plenty of rain last week.

So here's a few pictures for you to enjoy.

Here's that branch that is almost horizontal today...really sagging under the weight.

Magnified the bud above....turning cloudy is all. Very few new pistils.

More clear and cloudy but that's progress.

It's really easy Robbo94, let your plants become nitrogen deficient in flower, the big fan leaves yellow and fall off.

Please sir call me jake . ahh so the bloom nute will do it's self If it has a small enough amount, does this happen only in the last 2-3 weeks or thru out the flower cause you starve it instantly?

I don't intentionally starve them, it's more my errors. Judge it by the plant, last few weeks of flower if plants nice and green, cut out the N.

Grow Big is the Foxfarm nute that has most of the N. See how they suggest no more after week 9. I adjust slightly as mine were not grown from seed. In my case, I gave the last feeding of N on May 20. Actually, they've been basically straight water for last 3 weeks.

Like Mr. A said, it allows the plant to use its own stored plant nutrients and allows fans to fade into the finish.

Blue Dream Clones Flower Day 57

Well I guess my BD clones are probably going to finish at some point. Their very pleasurable scent is getting substantially stronger and even I could smell them this morning. Trichomes are roughly equal clear/cloudy and I'm still interested in seeing some amber. Harvest is getting close but I'm not able to plan a date.

Fans continue to fade and they are on a straight water diet until the end.

The BD Mom. She went from kitchen window to tent when PV was born.

Blue Dream Clones Flower Day 58

So I went back to HSO's information and BD is supposed to finish 65 to 70 days. I'm guessing I must have harvested previous plants too early. Oh well. I'll still continue to look for amber. This would be day 67 if I were counting from flip to 12/12. That makes me just as confused as before.

I took the two front girls out this morning for a photo session. They're pretty and ready to come down sometime soon I bet.

This one sits in the middle of the tent. Blue tint of the buds are showing.
