Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Addictive ? Does anyone else wake up and kiss their significant others, rollover get outta bed, and check their plants ?. .
only after then do I feel soothed and relaxed. I do not think I've ever been as passionate about anything else except family.

Ounce a week, that a good goal until you harvest. Since Xmas, my friend and I, have killed, almost 1900 grams. I'm under an ounce now but I'm ready for a nice break. FYI, I'm 75 days from harvest.

Cheers

Wow! I wish I had that much right now. I love the mason jar idea also.

Man it has been less then a year for me. September 15 is when it turned legal and I started.

Any updates on this?

I'm personally not familiar with a PH of 2 for foliar feeding (maybe that's a spray to kill PM???) but here's an interesting article on foliar feeding MMJ:

CANNABIS FOLIAR FEEDING

Foliar feeding seems to be one of the easiest ways of increasing yield, growth speed, and quality in a well vented space, with or without elevated CO2 levels. Just prepare a tea of worm castings, fish emulsion, bat guano, or most any other plant food right for the job and feed in vegetative and early flowering stages. It is not recommended for late flowering, or you will be eating the sprayed-on material later. Stop foliar feeding 2-3 weeks before harvesting. Wash off the leaves with straight water every week to prevent clogging the stomata of the leaves. Feed daily or every other day.

Best times of day to Foliar feed are 7-10Am and after 5 in the evening. This is because the stomata on the underside of the leaves are open then. Also, the best temperature is about 72 degrees, and over 80, they may not be open at all. So find the cooler part of the day if it is hot, and the warmer part of the day if it is cold out. You may need to spray at 2AM if that is the coolest time available. The sprayer used should atomize the solution to a very fine mist; find your best sprayer and use it for this. Make sure the PH is between 7 and 6.2. Use baking soda to make the solution higher PH, and vinegar to make the solution lower PH. It is better to spray more often and use less, than to drench the plants infrequently. Use a wetting agent to prevent the water from beading up, and thereby burning the leaves as they act as small prisms. Make sure you don not spray a hot bulb; better yet, spray only when the bulb has cooled.

Perhaps the best foliar feeding includes using seltzer water and plant food at the same time. This way, CO2 and nutrients are feed directly to the leaves in the same spray.

Foliar feeding is recognized in most of the literature as being a good way to get nutrients to the plant later when nutrient lockup problems could start to reduce intake from the roots.

WARNING!: It is important to wash leaves that are harvested before they are dried, if you intend to eat them, since they may have nitrate salts on them.

NOTE: One grower who reviewed this document comments: "Fish emulsion smells. Bat guano could be highly unsanitary. Stick to the Rapid-Gro, MgSO4 (Epsom salts), hydroponic trace element solution. Nitrate salts (The "N" in NPK) are unhealthy to smoke. Personally, I never foliar feed."

Above is a great comment, and there is great wisdom in an organic, non-toxic garden. Personally, I use only CO2 on my indoor hydroponic plants, and never folar feed. It simply does not seem to be necessary when using hydroponics.

I'm working last few days, I do 12's over night. So not yet, Saturday I'll get back into it again. I'm looking at what's called leaf feeding. Google leaf vs folar feeding. University of Washington has lots of great reading at the graduate level.

So, little general for my taste. I'm interested in leaf maturity and photosynthesis. It's been shown leaf feeding will hold of maturity allowing longer periods of photosynthesis per fan leaf. That's where I left off. This week I'll take it home.

I believe you and am interested in seeing the article. Just because I'm not familiar, doesn't mean it's not true! ;)

As I understand, the primary difference between leaf feeding and foliar feeding is that leaf feeding is preventative and designed to maintain overall health of a healthy plant and foliar feeding is used to address deficiencies because the plant is unable to uptake certain minerals from its roots (possibly due to lockout, or nutes not available in soil, etc.).

I'm looking forward to learning something new! :high-five:

I just put up a quick article from one of the seedbanks that addressed a number of factors including PH.

Thanks Krip! That article ends by saying they never foliar feed. A little contradictory.

Thanks Millertm, I'll do a search.

Actually, it's in response to the point made by one of the growers regarding what's being sprayed on the plants as a foliar, and he specifically says he doesn't foliar using hydro. I imagine, with that qualification, he likely applies foliars when using soil, but this is an assumption! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Foliar feeding is very important when growing with docs kit. I didn't do it before but I definitely see the positives from the spraying of the destress and brix.
Cheers guys

Agreed! And, just to be clear, I wasn't "arguing" for or against foliar feeding, I was just posting an article that I thought would help! :)

My conversation with Doc helped me separate leaf feeding vs folar feeding. Doc is folar feeding to add minerals to soil. Different then feeding to keep leafs working longer. Different strategy but hopefully same good outcome.

And it is appreciated! :thumb: :bong:
So, this seems to be one of the best Folar feeding solutions around so I bought it.

Well I read up on this sea green, eh, now it's in my nute lineup and I'll forgo folar feeding this round. It would be a waste for only two plants. But holy crap, this sea green is expensive. It's like $255 gal. Sound good and it's like a P booster, I'll see.

I might just get flowers kiss anyway and see if I notice any difference. I'll read up and post PH requirements tomorrow.

Cheers

Awesome dude! It'll be great to hear since we are all about being efficient and making them grow fast and healthy.

We have a little bit of running around to do this morning but will have a very detailed and picture filled update today. We haven't had time to post pictures and do a proper update this week so it'll be a good one. Thanks for understanding 420 family. But it is wake and bake time! :passitleft:
