Aren't arteekay and Jaybiz growing an Amnesia Haze? I think it's close to harvest too, like maybe in two days.

Edit: Yes they are growing one. They started flushing her today. They made growing this haze look easy. I hadn't heard that about hazes. I'd heard that everyone deserves a haze in their garden. :laughtwo:

We have one and she is quite the skinny girl that does what she wants. Would have been 10' tall if we let her. Slow on the flowering too. 6 weeks from flip I believe and she is just starting to form some good buds. :passitleft: :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Yikes! Sounds like two of my three. :laughtwo: Somewhere along the line I'll get it dialed in again and life will make some serious change and ...... *sigh* All I want is to grow. To grow big, beautiful healthy plants.

Did you ever expect that growing cannabis would be so addictive?

Yeah they are. I'll have canna go over to AFN and see what that's all about. Been wanting to try GG#4 since it seems to be a favorite amongst the community
 
Very lanky grow so far, internode spacing looks like it's been raised in red light and never seen anything under 500nm. But it smells nice already. It will be knock out smoke.

She was under the MH for 2 months and she was kept short. Then flip to flower and loosen a couple restraints and she takes off for the sun. I don't know what to do with her. Lol
 
Wait. Okay so, Red light and blue light cause different types of growth. Can I grow in red light alone ? What's the difference in smoke ?
So much to learn !

Sorry, I was talking about PAR spectrum.

Veg needs blue light for growth. If you use Standard HPS there is little blue light. Flowering likes red light, in fact red light is weighted twice blue for PAR energy. Look at Sun Pulse website (they make lamps) and list PAR watts, 1K MH ~385 PAR WATTS, 1K HPS ~ 425 PAR watts. Growing under yellow/red will produce long skinny thin stocks that do not yield as well as full spec grow.

This is where LED'S come in. If you can match ~400 PAR watts from wall (CMH is doing this @ 315 wall watts) you should equal a 1k HPS yield for 60% cost savings.

You can grow in just the red spectrum yes. For example you can use HPS for an entire grow which favors the red spectrum. The MH which favors mostly the blue spectrum can also be used an entire grow.

With that being said, in the spring and early summer the sun favors the blue spectrum and late summer early fall is more in the red spectrum. That's why we use the lights we do when we do. Just trying to get as close to replicating the sun as possible. :thumb:

Okay. So lemme ask this. I am almost sure that when I raise or lower LED am I actually adjusting spectrum of light getting to plants ? Red closer, Blue farther away ?

When I started this indoor adventure I treated it like an experiment. Scared to invest money I didn't have in unsure outcomes.
So I went on eBay and bought some el cheapo LED bulbs and cobbled together some CFLs. I don't have a whole lot money involved so that's okay. But my style of farming is very attentive which means that I have untold hours in my grow ( all previous outdoor grows as well ). Thats not okay.
So I went off half cocked and scared I'd eff it all up. Now after a couple months of tinkering around and some educational growth on my part I know I can't half ass this. With lights I have I could probably pull off one plant. Not 13 ! We need our weed. So in no way would one plant ever cover our needs. Ounce a week for us is norm. So I have to take this seriously. Man I miss the ease of outdoor growing. But now , for sure, id miss this indoor deal somethin fierce.
But I digress. The led bulbs I raise and lower multiple times a day and it has always seemed like the growth could be different at diff height.
Now I know why

Addictive ? Does anyone else wake up and kiss their significant others, rollover get outta bed, and check their plants ?. .
only after then do I feel soothed and relaxed. I do not think I've ever been as passionate about anything else except family.
