I went into making seeds just for a hobby. I do love the science behind it. It is cool to have a ton of seed. I personally dont mind the occasional boy, but gonna try to keep getting better, still just a hobby. My job one it to produce smokable for my Mrs.... after that I can play with my hobby and I do love growin. And I have bought enough Fem to last this year. So the seeds are an aside fro me.
But once the seeds start popin, the fun begins!
for what it is, my process is just mine,
no expert here. here is less than a cent. . .
A quick summary of where I am at now.
1.after i let the seeds mature, i let them dry in a envelope in a dark corner of the room. maybe 2-4 weeks, i put q-tip tops or some cotton ball to absorb moisture in the envelope
2. then, get any loose plant material out and find the good looking seeds.
3 i am keepin my seeds in old 'apsirin' bottles or such. I wrap the seeds up in many folded paper and put a desiccant pack in the bottle and into the refrigerator with a date and info written on the bottle. I keep a bunch of small groups of seed in several containers. Just in case something goes wrong and I dont loose the whole bunch.
I crossed and Auto fem with a photo male. And of two seeds that happened to fall on the ground. one male, pulled. & one female with some hermie tendency in full flower right now. I pushed a third seed into the dirt and it is only about 2 weeks old sprout not showing anything yet. I am just gonna plan on them all being male this way if a female shows it is a happy day.
