Great chart and reference.

This helps greatly you guys, thanks! I think I should start sampling, should I clip small buds off each plant at the different stages listed above and quick dry then smoke, suggestions for quick drying? Also, of my 3 clones, supposedly all Alien Abduction, there s significant difference in how they are developing, one is short and stocky, one is tall and lanky and one is right in the middle, is it safe o assume I can expect different effects from each even if clipped at same stage?

NOTE: As you've probably seen just from reading breader info on seeds, there can be huge swings between two different strains as to the timing for harvest. I've seen some that literally finish in about 45 days. Some of those Sativas, I've seen go something like 110 days.

There is no real "right time" to harvest since timing to harvest is largely based on personal preference of the effects you want, which is why you'll always hearing me recommending to sample as harvest gets close.

If you harvest early, the THC content will be higher which produces more of a cerebral “head high”. In the later stages of budding, the THC starts to turn into CBD which will give you more of a "couchlock" effect.

There are a number of signs to look for that indicate you're close to harvest. They stop producing those white pistils and about 50%-70% of those white pistils will turn red and get, what I call, "absorbed" into the bud, calyxes start swelling, etc.

Here's a good graphic on harvesting by Trichome color:

I hope that helps!

:Namaste:
Cannot wait to get to this point! Great chart++

That is actually the same chart that I went by, I was very glad to find it. Made harvesting when I wanted a lot more simple. Some great info up there! :)

Weenmeoff I have wanted to ask this question for a bit now. I used to wonder about this when I was outdoors. Then for whatever reason when harvest came round everything Always ended up together and who knew where it ended up. It's a shame that so many of these last few years I wasted just planting and culling males and just a cursory check up occasionally never actually paying attention to detail and technical issues.
Meh, whatever had some great times and never had a bad year and some pretty killer bud along the way here.
Now I gotta tighten up my game and be inside.
So glad there is a place that we can talk and learn from one another without fear of negative things occurring; thievery snitching and overall f#%kery Goin on. Thank you 420 ! . .

I answered the sample technique ??? in your journal (I didn't want to get too repetitive here! :cheesygrinsmiley: ).

You don't need to start sampling until mostly cloudy. The issue is how much THC (cloudy) you want to sacrafice for CBN (amber). The commercial growers all harvest late b/c they want the extra weight! ;)

Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Hey Nis and Canna, I was curious if you guys could shed some light on what kind of foliar spray to use for seedlings? I have aloe powder coming and I have h202 but can you use that for foliar spray?

I don't know that I'd put the h2o2 in, but aloe water will work, but it may leave a film on the leaves when they dry. We like flowers kiss from Fox farm and we add calmag to it. The girls love it!!

Ok sweet! Thank you for the info, I've been spaying my seedlings a bunch since the humidity sits around 25 to 30% on average, but it has been with only water. I and I was thinking since I don't ever water them, there has to be a little something extra I can feed them in the foliar spray. Anyways thanks again!

How do you use flowers kiss? Can you take a pix of the back of bottle.

Thanks

That was fast, thanks. I do not see any PH info on bottle. In my reading about folar feeding I learned about PH'ing your folar feed to under 2. When PH is over 3, leafs do not/can not pull nutes in from folar feed.

I was curious if FF listed any PH info (nope) and if you PH your mix before spraying. From what I've read, (I'm folar feeding too, but not sure what product yet.) Not sure it's doing much if locked out on leafs with PH over 2. Thanks guys for the quick pix. I was going to order one from grow store (it's the one item not carried at store, never bought much) but now that I've read it, it seems like Big Bloom'ish.

Cheers

It needs to be final mixture ph'ed like nutes. Don't quote me on a PH of 2, I still have some studies to attend to, but I'll update my research.

Cheers

Ok, we can check the ph of the final mix. Just not tonight. I'm in bed, and Nis is still at work. It was so hot here today. That 10 hr day kicked my butt. I can only imagine how Nis is feeling. Poor guy.
You two are great, thanks.
