Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Well we just weighed the first 3 jars from the tut which was mostly the first plant and one hanger from the second plant. 340 grams or 12.14 oz. So maybe this won't be as bad as I thought lol.

Hey guys been outta town for a few days and just getting caught up. Well shit. I see the bad news of the mites BUT that 9 oz per plant on the Tut is soooooo awesome! That stuff looked so dank. I remember the budlet that Canna posted a few days ago...it looked electric like it was plugged into the wall. Y'all are going to really enjoy that!

Even tho the bugs came in y'all have set the bar. I remember seeing your little grow room before you did anything to it with just a few pots on the concrete ground. And look at how far you've both come with this grow. There is WAY more good and positive to take from the grow then bad. For you and for all of us out here. You teach us each and every day. Like i said...I come here to get my daily dose of religion and you never let me down.

Chins up guys....y'all are truly pushing the envelope and setting the bar....please don't get discouraged we are all cheering for you!

In the last couple days I can tell that my mood is on its way back to normal. Sunday we went through and did a lot of cleaning and gave the veg girls a leaf wash. Most of them don't look too bad since the mites come out to play while in flower, for the most part. We have a case of doktor doom foggers that we are going to set off and kill everything living. The house plants have already been relocated as well. We are going to bomb twice a week a part to make sure we get everything. This isn't happening again I will say that.

As for the troughs, they will have to be rebuilt. Not going to run the risk of any eggs deciding to hang out and mess up another grow. We might make a couple changes to them while we are at it.

I will say that this will be a positive thing in the end. We will come out on top. I have been looking around at strains to do next and we will have a good selection. I do have a couple projects I want to do as well. I want to attempt the year long flux again and I want to break the 1 lb per plant mark with a massive plant. No time frame on any of this but regardless it is going to be a good time.

Ok, call me silly, but what's a SIP? I'm sure once you say it, I'll know what it means. Lol
Sub irrigated planter. This post pretty much sums it up.

The idea of sub irrigated planters has piqued my interest. I have been a fan of the wet dry method of veg growth. Drench a pot to saturation and then let the roots search out water as the pot goes dry. It produces some amazing root systems in veg.
But during flower I tend to water more often and try to keep the soil at a nice base moisture level, never quite going dry. That is what makes me interested in Sub Irrigated Planters (SIPs). They use an under soil
Reservoir to hold water and keep the soil above wet through wicking action.
The concept is very similar to hempy, but in this case we are using a living soil. SIPs have gained popularity with no till growers so I have decided to see what they can do for Doc's living soil methods.

Here is a diagram for a basic SIP

I am mostly following this design with a few minor changes. I am using the corrugated plastic ventilated drainpipe for my reservoir. I am using the 27 gallon bins from homie de POT. You know the cool yellow and black ones. I use the 54 gallon size for cooking soil. The lids make great plant trays too!

In the center you can see I have a section of pipe sideways. It will be filled with soil to act as a wick between resevoir and soil.

I wrapped the other pipes with drain pipe fabric but left the wick pipe with the top open so it can be filled with soil. Duct tape helps keep the fabric in place.

The next step was to add a drain. You could just use small fittings but I went ahead and splurged on some bulkhead fittings because they will allow me to unscrew the blue drain and put a tube in there to pump the whole tub dry if I want the soil to dry a bit. The drain is located where it will always make sure there is about 2" minimum airspace between resevoir and soil (except the wick)

The next step was to add a full pipe. I am using 1.5" potable water PVC to which I will attach a funnel to fill the resevoir when needed. It goes on an angle right into one drain pipe. It's a tight fit so soil won't get into the resevoir.

The next step was adding cooked high brix soil. I packed it into the wick tube to make sure it would draw water properly.

Finally I filled the tub with soil, never compacting it down.

Tomorrow I will make a few more SIPs and plant some plants!

That's what I'm talkin about! :thumb:

I think you might hit a pound with that Panama Haze.....close anyway. I'd love to see an ACE sativa in a year long flux!
It'll be close. We are at day 80 right now and she is coming off her 2nd round of CAT drench and let me tell you, the buds are huge. I'll get a few pictures tonight since we need to do something about the lights since she has a branch above the light. The damn thing needs to stop growing up lol.

ill be around to see that im sure that one plant will be the entire show i cant hardly wait! hope your having a good bud day! :thumb:

Well it's been a while since we showed off some veg plants so I took a couple last night. These ladies are going to be transplanted here soon and I'm not sure on how big of final pots will be. Was thinking 15 or 20 gallons and make them bigger plants. Was originally going to run 3 under the PS cob but am thinking two will make the cut.

Here is the best looking one in the tent right now. Heavyweight dream machine with no training other than topping it twice as of right now.

White widow xxl auto in a custom 16 oz fabric pot. The solo cup is there for support.

The rest of the gang in the tent.
