Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Good morning everyone! Last night the first of the tuts were ready to be jarred and just so happens we got some new plates for the rosin press. The DIY ones that I made worked but not as good as I think they could have. Felt like we were losing out on product. So these plates are 5" x 3" and can do 7g easily. So with that being said, 7 grams of this tut was squished at 200 degrees with a 30 second "warm up" period and 60 seconds of 20 tons of pressure. Used a 140 micron rosin bag I believe which are for flower

So with the 7 grams of flower that was pressed we totaled 1.68 grams of what started out as shatter after it was in the freezer for a few minutes before collecting. Total extraction yield was 24% which is extremely high for flower. Normal is around 14% - 20% or so. I used the flash on the pictures which actually made the rosin look darker so it all actuality it is a slightly darker honey color.

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends !

Lets see some pics of that harvest Nis, been waiting to see this for a long time bud.
I'm going to be straight forward and honest with everyone right now and I have been dreading this post.

The troughs were a success...until the last couple weeks in flower and we had issues with mites...again. We had been using the leaf wash in veg and at the time of the flip. Then we had been controlling the outbreak with the foliars and everything seemed to be good. Well as soon as the trichomes started showing up and right around week 4 they started moving in with force. Then it became a job of just maintaining the outbreak. Well it seems to me that we failed to do so with the blue dreams. They got the worst of it. Last night when I saw them, I almost cried.

I haven't taken any pictures or said anything about this since I think this is a huge embarrassment to see these troughs flop. We have taken a lot of pride into the work we have done and then this happens. A lot of people, ourselves included, wanted to see these plants fucking rock out and be a total success. Well we are taking this as an "experience" to say the least.

We will be taking a break for a month or two after we flip everything that is in veg right now. No clones or genetics will be saved. After that there will be a total cleaning, new soil, new pots, new everything minus the lights. These mites have been bothering us for the last 9 months and we have had enough. When the joy and passion we all share for this hobby goes away, there is a problem. As for other plants we have had in flower, multiple plants have been taken without finishing because the mites were so bad. Only 2 plants seemed to be ok during this, the Panama haze and devil's carnival. Pest resistant they are.

Don't get me wrong, the quality of the troughs are still there but yield was greatly effected and wont be any where close to the original goal. Luckily enough we have enough of a supply that we can take a couple months off and be ok. We are still going to be around and finishing the plants we have. So now we start damage control.

It has taken a lot to say this much and not completely break down. A lot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears have gone into this and now it's time to take a step back and get everything how it is supposed to be.

Damn, that sucks man. But seriously...dont take it so hard. You had an amazing vision, and built to fulfill it. The pics you have shared have been nothing less than amazing (drool worthy) I dread coming up against those little fkers for the first time, but I think any space that isnt completely sealed runs the risk. I will have my chance to fight the borg someday too.

What Im trying to say is that you did an amazing job and at the very least stirred the imagination of 1/2 the growers on this site :)

:peacetwo: and a big thumbs up! :thumb:

Nis and Canna, I feel for you. I'm still traumatized by my own whitefly experience.

Like you put it, just as the final weeks approach and the buds are turning sparkley and fat, they move in and give you the finger. ARGH!

Does a sulfer burn kill mites?

Canna and Nis....as has been said ..you guys rocked this grow! You both should be very proud....so the bugs moved in...so what,..you still learned an awful lot and got to the end . Yields will suffer some but the overall quality will still be right where it's supposed to be. No need to feel so bummed, you have our entire group pulling for ya's and feel for ya's. Like I said in the PM's to you and Canna, none of us had any idea...that's how good everything looks to us. I know up close they , the bugs got to be overwhelming but you still got to let them finish and soon you'll have enough produce to last many, many months. Your trough idea is the bomb and it worked like a charm...I knew it would...oh, but so did you's! Your idea to take a break , is a very good one and I speak for the group when I say ...you both will be back with all the desire and passion you had a few short months ago. Thanks so much for sharing this difficult news C & N. I know it musta been really hard. Anyhow good on ya's and many congrats on a very successful grow. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us .:Namaste::high-five::circle-of-love:

You guys don't know how your kind words are helping us through this difficult time. We have been hanging our heads in shame for some time now. The frustration meter has been pegged for some time now. But you know no matter how hard this is for us, we aren't taking it out on each other, we are helping each other through it. That's why I took the reins on harvesting. It's just hard on Nis to see all that potential we had in those troughs turn into less than desirable plants. The bd took it especially hard. The tut was more resistant, but it was still ravaged by those stupid little fucking bugs! They were under control before we went to Jamaica. When we came back they were back in full force. Just 1 week away made it a literal breeding ground on all of our plants. It's so sad to see the girls trying so hard, but knowing they are covered in crawling itch making little fucking assholes!

Here is a positive note. I jarred up some of the Tut that was harvested late last week. So far we have three 1/2 gallon jars full of tut, and I see at least 3 more still drying. We've also got a quart jar of Cream of the Crop Cash Crop, I believe it's called that, jarred up today. So all in all, we have got some sticky ass Tut, and some other new stuff to smoke.

Have a great Friday you guys and gals! Its time for a giant gummy and some zombies.

I should mention that these gummies are no joke. I took 2 zips of Hash plant and made a tincture for the gummies. The hash plant was culled early because it was overrun with bugs. She wasn't fully mature, but we were able to get the meds out of her just the same. Oh, that powdery stuff on the gummy is corn starch so they don't stick together in the bag.

Thanks for helping us with that recipe man! They are so good, and a 4:1 so it helps calm my crazy side. Lol!

Duggan, I didn't want to quote your post and take up space. Whatever, you know what I mean. Lol. Anyway, thanks for being our ear these past few disappointing days. It's really cool how much time you took to talk to us. We appreciate it so much. What you said was exactly what we figured we would have to.do to get rid of the problem. It was good to get confirmation from a trusted member like you, so we knew what we had to do. Thanks again for being there for us to vent. Habe a great night guys!

Canna, do you see how important you guys are to this place. Ya know , your not just a couple of pretty faces...LOL!
I consider you guys my friends and it's been,... and will continue to be, a real pleasure sharing this place with ya's. Smile Canna,...you have many , many reasons to do so, just look over at your Nis...he's a big one! Cheers and have an awesome night!:Namaste::circle-of-love:

Also all the best from the land of the long white cloud. As much as it hurts now you will come out better and stronger. You guys are an inspiration to all of us growers and hope you will continue your journey with us when you are ready. Kia Kaha. Kiwiman

Canna and Nis you did a fantastic job, the mites are not your fault but it sucks. From what I seen you two do in the past after your little break I know you two will be right back at it bigger and better than ever if that is possible. Can't wait to see your next venture I am sure it will be great. :circle-of-love::bravo:

I am sorry to hear about your bug out break. That is always a kick in the giblets that no one wants to deal with. As others have stated i would not have guessed that you were having issues from the pics. I thought something was off since your journal was not moving as quick as it once was and I have not seen you guys be as present as you once were. Fighting issues can really put a damper on the grow experience. It is really mentally taxing. When I read through your whole journal I noticed that it was not long after you guys gave some friends a tour of your operation that you had your first out break. I am going to say that this is where your issue started. I had a joint grow with a friend and not long after he decided to show everything off to his brother we had a PM out break that ravaged everything we had going on. I know you guys will come back strong and I cannot wait to see what else you can accomplish :Namaste:
