Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Well we just weighed the first 3 jars from the tut which was mostly the first plant and one hanger from the second plant. 340 grams or 12.14 oz. So maybe this won't be as bad as I thought lol.

High Nis and Canna. Man, what a kick in the gut.

I was listening and reading through a pod cast yesterday featuring David Perron discussing pests and his IPM system. Anyway, I think your tear down clean up approach will be the way to go but I'll offer one interesting point which was discussed.

In one situation (around the 27 minute mark) he talked of the return of the borg after the life cycle and it appears that the bamboo stakes retained the eggs. They moved the stakes from the flower room to a veg room and the borg was back in business again. The reason I mention this is the wood used to build the troughs. If an egg can get into a bamboo stick certainly wood could produce a hiding place.

So here's the link to the podcast. Cannabis Cultivation and Science Podcast Episode 4 - KIS Organics

and the transcript:

David: Yeah, absolutely. That being said, I feel like it was fairly easy for us to get rid of that but I was there every day checking on that and I have an academic background doing that but when I went and introduced that same identical integrated pest management system, in other shop, we didn't have those the same success rate so the way you implement the system, the way you have your work flow through your facility is also very important so moving from infested to clean every surface, start and working to clean area at first when you get there during the day, hair nets and changing boots, we do change clothes from one room to another we just put the lab coat on and change your hair net, gloves and disinfect our boots that's huge, we have asked some growers here that were working in greenhouse we started to do the bio-control insect program, we had really good success in their vegetative a little bit tougher in flowering but we were pretty sure that after one cycle they would be pretty clean but then on the next cycle things got worse and we're scratching our heads trying to figure out what happened and all that to finally realize that it's the bamboo stick that the grower was using as a stake so we took the bamboo from harvesting a flower room that were infested with spider mites and put that into the new veg plants that were going in there even though the clean the room and all that, the spider mites run away from the predatory insects, they crawl inside the bamboo stick come out when it's in a new room so we have a super high infestation already from spider mites right from the get go so there's little details like that that if you don't pick out on early, if you don't know it's just hard to manage but so your work flow out of your labor and people move from one room to another it's super important, everything also super important from your mother room or you start there starting with clean product I usually just double their rates of insects in my mother room compared to the rest of my facility which has already kind of doubled compared to the rest of the industry just to make sure that we're starting with clean product all the time.

Tad: That's really important, never would have thought of stakes.

Sorry to take up so much space but I've been watching you guys since forever and want to see that big space filled again.

Good morning everyone! The rest of the tutankhamon was jarred up this morning and we have a total dry weight. Some of the buds were a little dry to our liking but a good long cure is in store.

10 half gallon mason jars.
685 grams plus 340 grams previously in the jar.
1,025 grams total.
36.6 ounces.
4 plants with an average of 9.1 ounces per plant with some being heavier.
If taking half the wattage of lights on movers and adding the additional cobs, this trough averaged at 1.32 grams per watt of light.

I'll get some nug pictures tonight and share them. A sample is being sent to a lab this week sometime so test results will be had within the next couple weeks.

Happy Monday everyone!

1.3 gpw.....you're killing it. That is efficient, high yield growing! Please let me know when you get the lab tests.

Amazing job.

a little update on the green crack from fast buds, when i first dried it and jarred it when i cracked it open smelled like fresh hay the taste of the smoke was meh now today with a few weeks cure i cracked the lid and it has a light lemony citrus smell and the smoke tastes like the smell and it has pretty good potency with a nice relaxing up high!;)

Holy crap guys I'm so sorry to hear about those little devil fuckers having a big ole shit party all over your plants. You guys are awesome and loads of people look to you both for guidance. But even the best can be overwhelmed. Like you said take the break get back on your feet and get growing when the rooms are clean. You two will bounce back harder and better than before.

Thanks everyone. We have a couple pictures for ya if some of the tut. I will say that we usually trim a lot closer but how could we with this?
