Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Congrats :bravo:

Sending you smoke signals from beyond the allegedly civilized world :bongrip:

Vlad, you are priceless. :laughtwo:

We use those leaves and the smaller popcorn buds to make butter or bubble hash. I never even thought to leave them there. Makes sense though. Why go through the work to remove it from the plant, then remove it from the leaf just to smoke it. I can understand clipping them if wanting to use for edibles. Sue, I think you are on to something there though. Thanks for the heads up.

On the other hand, there is that one 12" bud that Nis may enter in the Notm contest. I think they look better dry with those sugar leaves trimmed off. So maybe only clip those if it's a contest worthy nug, ya know?

I think the way the sugar leaves curl around the buds looks sexy as hell. :laughtwo: If you watch, when I take bud shots of cured ones, I always try to get the linear beauty of a curled sugar leaf with the strings of trichomes marching along the veins into the shot. You have to be careful about drying them if you're looking for a prize winner with sugar leaves, but somewhere in there is a delicate balance.

I hear ya. Have a humid area to dry them so the leaves don't break, but not too much humidity because we don't want mold. That's good info to store away until next harvest. Thank you Sue. You have a great point there.

That's awesome you are able to open up space by moving your laundry to the 2nd floor! Ours was like that when we moved in. We wonder if the previous owners were growers.

Maybe with the extra space you opened up, you can make a little place to grow that one seed you were wanting to plant. That would be sweet!

I'm not moving the laundry room. The folks restoring the house just moved the upstairs bathroom into the upstairs small bedroom and replumbed the old bathroom as a laundry room. The old laundry tub and hookus are also in the basement.

It's not like I need the extra space for cannabis. In the last year, I was havesting about 4.5 oz per month using an 8x8' veg room and a 4x8' flowering room. I could have harvested more, but that is enough to meet household needs. The two rooms in the basement most suitable for growing are about 11x14' and 11x18'. :) I won't need to borrow basement space from the similar sized laundry room, furnace room, or workout/weight room. I might just add a wall to one of the rooms and use only the one room and a single exhaust fan. I might need to huddle my grow and veg rooms together for winter warmth.

I enjoy the planning and construction phases, but I'll start out simple. I've got several new house chores to keep me occupied, like potentially regrading the entire lot for better drainage, hard carving replacement wood gingerbread, and refinishing wood cabinet doors stored in the basement for over 20 years.

P.S. re: Former growers

The people buying old the house are buying the basement grow rooms "as is" including the 6" exhaust ducting. I even had the CFLs, pots full of soil, tea maker, and all my indoor gardening tools "as is" while showing the house.

Update 6-5-16

GARDEN UPDATE!

Good evening everyone, nothing really was happening in the garden today other than everyone got a drink of tranquility water. We stopped and picked up some more saucers for them. We also picked up two bails of promix for the future girls. So here we go!

Tonight we will start with the Cheese clones from Thursday. They look ok for being tore off from their mom. But the get sprayed a few times a day.

Here are our up and coming hopefuls. They had some good taproots and hit the dirt last night so within the next day or so.

The cluster bomb was only 16 hours in water. She got put straight to soil.

Well that's all we have from the garden this evening. Hopefully the new seedlings show up tomorrow. The exciting times are when you get a new seedling into the garden and a bountiful harvest. The 3-4 months in between...:woohoo:

In the flower room we have 8-12 weeks then they will be ready to go. But in between there we will have the two autos in I'm guessing 6 weeks or so. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend. It was beautiful weather here and even went out on the lake for a couple hours today.

Oh and the drying purple kush smells and looks awesome. The amber hairs are the perfect contrast to the dark purple buds. Ill post up a picture tomorrow. Until then...Stay classy. :tokin:

Hello! My name is Budd. Teamed up for quite a team there Nismo and Canna. Awesome floor tile too.

Believe it or not, Oprah herself has been getting into THC suppositories for women...to use durring their time of the month. helps with pain and more....Google it :)
Woah! That is awesome! I don't want to get into too much detail, but mine is very painful the first couple days. I'll have to Google to see if they are used rectal, or vaginal suppositories. Thanks for the awesome info!!

All I can say is YUM! Those buds from Ethel look delicious. I can only hope mine turn out as pretty as that!
I'll post up some pictures of them hanging tonight. They look awesome. They have my attention whenever I am around them. The tent they are in is a stable 50% humidity with a fan in there and a good air exchange a couple times a day.

Just a little UPDATE

We will start off with our two new young seedlings. I will say that these are the last of the soil mix we were using. It was fine until water was added and dried. I don't know what happened since we have used this before. The next girls will be in our promix. I was half tempted to dig them out and transplant them. I had to pick at some of the soil to help them out since it was hard. Sigh...

We have a digital thermometer and a regular thermometer. I thought that it was cooler in the room than what the digital one was telling me. They are sitting right next to each other and read 4-5 degrees different.

On to some better news. Tonight we will embark on the journey of being able to sex seeds. I saw somewhere about the volcano mark on the seed where it attaches to the plant. Well the theory is that if it is perfectly round, it is female. Anything else is male. I have looked at a couple different feminized strains and they are all round. So far it stands true. I am guessing with these five seeds, there will be 3 female and 2 male. Sorry I didn't get a picture of them since my camera wouldn't focus that close. I will try again if the tap root isn't obstructing. The males will be tossed, females will be one grown out full term and others will be used for pollen and making fem seeds. We will see how many make it. I will call this project - 3 chicks 2 dudes.

Here is one of the buds from the purple kush after 72 hours of hanging up. If it smokes as good as it looks, then we will be in business.

Nothing else going on in the garden other than we did a round of topping for the second time yesterday and new shoots are flying out already. We are doing a side by side comparison with the two Heavyweight fruit punch clones. They are the same age and size and trained the same, but we topped one of them for its second time to see which yields more. Just trying it all to see where we can get the most yield. Also head to raise one of the lights again since Sparkle is so damn big just so she could get total coverage. The light is 5' off the floor now if the pictures don't do her size justice. She is about 30" in diameter and I honestly have no idea what to do with her. She will need her own light in flower. We don't want to have to wait 6 weeks for the autos to finish lol. I'll say 2 weeks and she will be going to flower.

That's all we have for tonight. Negative vibes through the house this evening. We just need to relax and smoke a couple doobies. Not to worry, I have worked on my sharing so here ya go :passitleft:

------Best of big buds to you----

Thanks. :passitleft:
