I'm planing to grow in 1/3 of the basement in the new house. It comes with some very old, very unmoveable brick walls that section off large rooms - and one for flower, one for veg is just how I roll
I'm going to have to be discrete - the new house has actual neighbors - so I need to get a reputation as the crazy, dirt loving, long hair who takes cutting and seeds from neighborhood plants and grows them in his basement.
I'm still deciding on exhaust up the chimney vs out the coal chute (unused). The chimney exit will have to pass through the parlor fireplace,
Can't disable the fireplace. The coal chute exits under the porch near the front door. My current exhaust is under a deck near the back door. I don't hear anything sitting on the deck. If worse comes to worse I could install a 'radon mitigation' exhaust stack up above the roofline - but that might be ugly.
