Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

HARVEST TIME!

Tonight we harvested the last two plants from our first grow. We are more than happy with the first grow and it can only get better from here! It took us about 2 and half hours from start to finish, even though we had a scissor malfunction and had to go to a pair without a spring in it so my hand cramped up quite a bit.

These two were 9 weeks from the first flower and sprouted in the first week of February and were flipped March 20th. We put them into a 4x2 tent for 48 hours for complete darkness and the buds are super sticky and smell fantastic. Anyways enough with the talking. Time for the photo dump. Enjoy!

For the first one we have Betty!

And here they are all hanging up to dry for the 5-7 days.

There we have it. We have all but finished our first grow and I think with all four plants we will be pretty darn close to 10 ounces dry since the first two had 5 ounces dry. I predicted 9 ounces before any harvesting so I am extremely happy about that. We should have enough to last us until our next harvest...may be a couple ounces short depending. So we have hopefully become efficient enough to not have to buy anymore cannabis. In the end I can't explain on how happy we are with the outcome. We tried a little scissor hash and it gets the job done to say the least.

We would like to say thank you for everyone that has helped us along with this grow. We wouldn't be able to do all of this without any of you. Thank you all for all of the compliments and nice words, it truly means a lot. I would like to think that these results are not the best we will have and will strive to do more. :thanks:

We have tons of plans for the future and will be stepping out of our comfort zone and pushing ourselves to be better cultivators and more efficient. We are not trying to grow pounds to sell, we just want enough to satisfy our wants and needs and have a bit of variety.

Everyone enjoy your weekend, you deserve it. I know we will. Stay classy friends.

Looks awesome, guys! 10 zips from 4 plants?? Sounds good to me!! Now I got something concrete to aim for!

When we first started I was told 2 ounces was good. Most of the grow was under one 600 watt light. Had two 600s on 75% For a couple weeks but it was too hot so took one out. So almost .5 gram per watt if we get 5 ounces dry here. That's not bad at all in my eyes. I want to shoot for a gram a watt. Now that is something to be proud of. We will have two harvests this year that I hope to get 10 each off of...one I'm shooting for a pound. :thumb:

Isn't .5grams for 450watts 8 or 9 grams.?

Also on the tube at NoobGrow

225 g would be .5 g/W. Great pull, nice Cola's, nice shape and structure.

Cheers

those are some tasty looking buds.:yummy: if I can get .5 I will definitely be happy. wouldn't mind getting up to a gram a watt with my 1000w though lol.

I love your shirt, I need one for reasons

Yeah I have tons of them and wearing them has become the harvest attire until one of those elusive 420 Magazine shirts comes into my possession...so I better get more lol :thanks:

Here was my quick thinking

600 watts * .5 = 300
10 ounces = 280 grams
:bong:

Congratulations guys!!!! Those are BOTM worthy playa!!!!

We shall see when they dry. They are super dense so hopefully they keep some or most of their size. :thumb: :passitleft:

Not too bad for some first timers eh? :thanks: Roorrip

That would be awesome! Now I don't know how we are going to figure it now being there are two rooms with 2600 watts of light!

Betty 58.2 + Ethyl 64.6 = approx 122.8 dry or around 4.5 oz. I always estimate an 80% loss in evaporation. It's been a consistent formula from the beginning. I'll be interested in how close I come.

Beautiful buds. Absolutely beautiful. I can't be bothered to trim that tightly. I'm assuming you sequester those filet mignon sugar leaves? Doc Bud swears the trichomes on those leaves are superior to those in the buds. I tend to believe him, so I leave them on my buds. You'll notice most of the HB Kit growers do that as well. I use the majority of my harvests in processing for one medicinal or edible use or another, most of which benefit from using the entire plant, fans, stems, and buds. It makes my trimming job as easy as pie. :laughtwo:

Reps on a banner harvest. :bravo:

I don't think I've ever calculated out grams per watt on one of my grows, but I get so many different lighting options involved sometimes this'd be nearly impossible for me to do.

I need to get out of your yard already and have some breakfast. My stomach just growled at me for being up three hours already and still wandering the digital streets. :laughtwo: It's too much fun here guys.

We use those leaves and the smaller popcorn buds to make butter or bubble hash. I never even thought to leave them there. Makes sense though. Why go through the work to remove it from the plant, then remove it from the leaf just to smoke it. I can understand clipping them if wanting to use for edibles. Sue, I think you are on to something there though. Thanks for the heads up.

On the other hand, there is that one 12" bud that Nis may enter in the Notm contest. I think they look better dry with those sugar leaves trimmed off. So maybe only clip those if it's a contest worthy nug, ya know?

Grams per watt break down under LED lighting. It's not a linear to compare LED vs HID in G/W. 1000 watt HPS really only has about 400 PAR watts. How this started was a SOG grow where plants grown under 600 watt HPS. A trend started by trying to get the 16 plants to equal 600 grams. This is were the g/W yardstick started. CO2/HPS can break 1g/w, as will most LED lights. It funny that this became one of the main tools to track performance for most growers.

Cheers

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Copied this from Sweet Sue's page. Please stop by and leave him a note. People say words can be powerful, so let's use that knowledge for good. Thanks in advance as I know many of you will stop by and send positive vibes to this pretty awesome man.

Very challenging news guys. Heirloom just informed us that he was hit by a logging truck about five weeks ago and has lost limbs. I'm including a link to his thread so you can read his report yourself, but we need to garner all the positive energy we can and shower him with it. He lived. He's a force of nature himself and in the end I know this magnificent man will not just survive but thrive like you've never seen.

Let's let him know his family reaches round the globe and we'll all be holding him in our thoughts as he recovers.

Thank up you in advance for helping to shore up my dear friend.

Heirloom's Little Bit Of Everything

We have a greenhouse and a garden as well so having dirt and nutrients is understandable.

We are exhausting out an old dryer duct since the dryer and since been moved up to the first floor.

When you get all moved in and have a build going, I will be the mad scientist in the corner all excited. Lol :thumb:

The laundry room just moved from basement to the 2nd floor.

An excellent option I had not thought of, Thank You. :thankyou:

Is there an Emoji Mod out there that can help!!?

If you make the Emoji, there is a process to add it to the forum. The mods will consider an original content Emoji, but not something 'borrowed' off the internet.

Nice yields. I lucked into 9.5oz for 4 plants on my first grow. I was quite pleased :)

That 2 harvests in a year limits your total output compared to a perpetual grow. With 2 rooms already set up, you could easily go perpetual and harvest 4 plants every 4-5 weeks off just your dual 600W HPS. With perpetual, you can also veg out a couple of monstrous girls alongside your 'normal' sized girls and have the occaisonal 8-16 oz plant mixed in with only a little extra squeeze growing along with your 'regular' harvests. I've had a couple of 6+ oz girls 'by accident.' My flower lights were busy and they had to veg another few weeks.

The biggest problem I have growing perpetual is trying to squeeze a new seed into the list of strains that I am cloning and regrowing. Once you are at full capacity, adding a new strain means saying goodbye to a clone line that you are already growing.

That's awesome you are able to open up space by moving your laundry to the 2nd floor! Ours was like that when we moved in. We wonder if the previous owners were growers.

Maybe with the extra space you opened up, you can make a little place to grow that one seed you were wanting to plant. That would be sweet!
