Weffalo's West Coast O.G. First Time Grow: Indoor, Soil, SIP, Auto

So sorry, my previous post was made before I read any further. I thought it had reached the end of that conversation. My bad!
Haha no worries Carmen, cheers for checking in! :)

in my

In my limited experience with super light LST (probably less of the light 😅) and even a touch of super cropping (broke half a branch - don’t panic rubber tape is your friend) the best thing you can do is just look at the plant a long time through 360 degrees and have a think about where you want them to go. A trim first until I thought it was way too many leaves and mini growths ending up the floor by my partner who is more experienced with growing really seemed to reap rewards.

This is the advice of a first timer based on a two plant grow. Sure I did much wrong but they are forgiving. We used soft rubber coated electrical cable to train the colas out and seems to be working. They look like they’ll gonna produce some really good separate colas each though. Maybe 5-6 each.

Apologies if I’m mixing up technique names to more experienced among us.
Appreciate your insight mate <3 I've got thick coated wire and bamboo sticks/cocktail sticks so I'll see what I can put together, I'll update the post when they are in the new position, I'm also tempted to just leave them so I can get a good idea of how they grow naturally, for educational reasons... increased yield/colas is too tempting though to be honest and I'm sure the practice will pay off later :)

Thanks guys :D I am utilising the Carhooks... am I doing a good job? That is open for debate, I tried my best to pull the leaves away and expose the future budsites but I don't really know what I'm doing as I'm not certain where those will be exactly. I don't think I will "get it" fully until I witness the process myself so I'm sure I will improve at this over time.

Let me know if you can spot any obvious issues please :D I've just done one plant as I'm semi busy IRL today but I'll finish the other two later on after some validation or criticism!

Had another free 30 minutes so did the other two, no doubt completely butchered it but it's a start and I can see how they react.

One of the ideas about LST is to spread the hormones around by making the plant think it has lost its apical growth node. So your top node should be gently bent so it is lower than the others which will then make the plant better disperse the hormones that are mostly going to the top bud now.

Here's how Shed describes his process

Awesome thanks Azi, I'll have a read of that as soon as I can and adjust the hooks :)

Ok I definitely have tried to make sure the plant is confused with what is the top, the main stems have all been bentso the top is lower, as well as opened out any parts I could.

New tent setup yesterday, took a while to get everything sorted I'll put pics up asap :D

Thanks for the replies everyone, good to know they are looking better. I will check each evening/morning and adjust to try and keep them all the same height!!

I'll post pictures of the ladies in their new home later today after I get them moved 🤘

That's inspirational Weff! Look at them loving life under that light! I can't wait to fire mine up to 100%!
Thanks mate :D It was a lot of work getting the room/house ready but very happy with the final product, I'm upto 8/10 on the settings right now (Linked to my ac-infinity) so gonna bump it to max in the next week or so.

Fingers crossed they enjoy their new spacious home complete with improved sun and airflow :D

I will post pics again later after I attempt LST again to ensure everything is level. Exciting times!! :ganjamon:

Latest pics, took out hooks and re-applied today, doesn't seem like I'm training them in the best direction but I've started now lol.

If you're going to LST them without topping it's sometimes best to plant them off to one side of the bucket and then train toward the other side. But they'll be fine. :thumb:
Cheers mate, good tip for future <3

Still waiting for the res to empty, don't think it should be long now and then my next nutrient mix has Silica added which I managed to pick up this week.
