Viparspectra Redux: GDB's Serenity Grow

Beautiful canopy GDB, worth the effort.
Thanks Carmen. My Lazy-meter would disagree with you about it being worth the effort. But he tends to be an ahole! :Rasta:

You may be an alien empath GDB! What planet do you call home? Do you know Bill Schatner?
I've always assumed I was born on earth, but who knows. It's difficult to remember that far back.

Nanu, nanu.

Yo GDB, it looks like you are running a manifold on them young ones . I've been wanting to try that out . Ima definitely be on the sidelines watching. ❤️
The Sour G is closest to a manifold. The other 2 are just LST. I didn't intend to do a manifold. My approach is to train every plant in a way that suits "that plant" whenever possible. The Sour G's growth pattern led me to do that to her. :Rasta:

It sure does!...nice work, GDB...👍
Thanks Carcass!

When you compliment my canopy you compliment yourself because it's your model that I'm trying to ape. So. Nice work Carcass! :Rasta:

Good morning all.

I got the move done on the S2 group.

The @ViparSpectra XS 1500 Plus did a fine job getting them to this stage. Now it's time for the @ViparSpectra KS5000 to bring them home!

All have room to do whatever they feel like doing.

I hope they don't mind the change of location.:)

Thanks for looking in (some time later today I imagine😴).

Good evening/morning all.

Another day of serenity comes to an end and the girls are steadily progressing on their Flip + 48. The Forbidden Fruit (rear) continues to puzzle me with her light yellow leaves. I think I'll give her some Calmag with N on her next feed.

-----------------------------

In the 2x2, the Phase II plants are still managing to coexist on their Flip + 4. But I think I'll be moving them to more spacious surroundings tomorrow or the next day.

Their canopy looks fairly good, for now.

That's all I've got.

I appreciate your time spent here!

Beautiful plants and I'll say your little tent is about out of floor space now.
:) :cheer:

Hello all!

Party over here! I just took delivery of my @Canuk Seeds package!

Canuk seeds arrival 9-20-23.jpg

I'll start these in my 2x2 tent and then grow them out in the 4x4 (after the Serenity group is done). Based on my experience with the Phase II girls, I now know that I can leave 3 photoperiod plants from seedlings in the 2x2 for somewhere around 50 days before they will need more space.

The plants in the Serenity group are on their Flip + 50. I estimate they have another 40-50 days to go before they're done. So I could probably start these Canuks in the 2x2 today and it would work out (maybe). But I'm going to wait a week or two before I start them. I'll use that time to train (paint a room and try to get my basement in better order) and build up my stamina! :) I'm also thinking about the prep I'll need to go through for my colonoscopy scheduled for the 29th of this month. I don't want to have a boo boo and accidentally shit on my seedlings.

BTW, who wouldn't want to grow a strain called "Cement Shoes?" :Rasta:

---------------------------

I also received my GJOTM prize from @Herbies Seeds. They sent only 6 seeds and I've contacted them about the shortage. Haven't heard back yet. Anyhow, they sent 3 Gelato autos and 3 Mimosa Shots. The Mimosas will definitely get grown. The autos, "meh-be".:)

-----------------------------

In the "shits and giggles" department, about 3 weeks ago I took several cuttings from the flowering Forbidden Fruit plant that I've got going. I shaved the bottoms of their stems, tossed them in a solo cup of distilled water and put them on my window sill. I used no rooting gel nor any other kind of starter solution. Just wanted to see what would happen.

This happened:

They got about 12 hours of light per day in the window sill. I think, but I'm not sure, that they would need many more hours of light daily to go into reveg. So what stage are they in now? I have no idea. @Trala. Anyone?

I'm not that interesting in growing them (well, maybe one) but if I can gift them I'd like to be able to tell the giftee what needs to be done. (Who am I kidding? Nobody is going to want one of these shabby looking things!:))

------------------------------

Lastly, I caved to an aggressive marketing campaign by Strive nutrients and bought a set of their 2-part system. With Prescription Blend out of the picture I'm searching for something new to try. Funny, I like trying new nutrients nearly as much as I like trying new strains!

If you're looking too, search on "Strive Nutrients" and check them out. They're offering 30% off if ordered by Friday at midnight.

------------------------------

That's all that I've got.

I stayed up so late last night that I missed the chance to get pics of the plants this morning (lights go out at 10am and I woke up at 10:15). I try not to open my tents during their dark periods for any reason.

As always, thanks for your time.

PEACE

When I clone with water, they often die when I put them into the dirt. A big letdown.
Really?

I've done it this way before but I honestly can't remember how it turned out. And I've seen quite a few folks here use hydroponic cloners and then grow them in soil, without incident.

That's interesting though. Maybe this method of cloning would be suitable for a SIP, Swick, Wick or DooHick! :Rasta:

I think I know what they're gonna do- 🤔 it'll be fun to watch!
Are they going to be fed the new nutes?
They are not.

Two on Dots and the other on Roots Organic dry nutrients.

I'll likely use the new nutes for the first time for the Seedsman Black Sugar grow.

I hope it's fun to watch what happens. The alternative is not so appealing. :)

Nice movement on the plants getting them safely from point A to point B! It's a good thing to have the floor space in there with the wide-load training...don't forget the pool noodles. 👍

Nice new seed additions too. 🫘

Jimmy Hoffa?
Pool noodles? Geez, I don't want to copy everything that @Carcass does. People might begin to talk. :)

Jimmy Hoffa would (and probably did) die to grow Cement Shoes. :)
