Vetsmoke's Mars Hydro Hempy Happening - Powered By The FC3000

So I've put together the list below for a small dripper system with DIY halos using 4mm pipe with holes punched in. Will cost about £70. Seem reasonable and can anyone see anything I might have missed or overlooked?

Reservoir - 20L bucket with lid
Water pump - 500 L/h
Air pump + air line + flat air stone
13mm iceline irrigation hose - 6m
13mm elbow x 7
13mm T-piece x 1
13mm non return valve
4mm flexible irrigation pipe - 8m
4mm nipple x 5
4mm T-piece x 5
Hole punch
Timer - already have loads laying around.

Rough sketch of layout in mind.

The reason for the res being where it is and the pipework entering where it does is I want easy access to the reservoir, and the only hole in the tent at the lower level is in the back.

Making you own halos as you are will save a few £.
After making a few and using a wilima system.
I would never go back to recycling system in coco Way to messy for me.
I would also make sure you can adjusted each feed line.
There is always one who wants more or less.
As you know i run DIY system a little like your planing.
And access to clean and fill when needed is a must as you have already said.
My mixer/wave maker will go on and of 5/6 times aday for 5mins.
The air stones 20 mins before any feed.
But looks to me you got a nice plan in place.
I changed up to get a bigger bucket to try stretch to 4 days per bucket.
I have a 40L now did have a 25L and needed changing with 3 ladies in flower.
After 2 days to 1 and half days.

Hope this helps some. :thumb:

I'm not the one to comment on this Vet, because I can't build anything. But it looks like it would work and the cost is surely attractive.

Also I forgot yesterday to say that the PPM and EC readings seem a bit low to me considering the water is 290+ ppm and per 5 litres I'm adding 8ml each of Grow A & B, 5ml calmag and 5ml silicon. Shouldn't I be around 800ppm now?

At 8ML to 5L i would say about right tbh.
Im at around 1.1EC when i run 10ml to 5L .
So after the convert dif tap water etc.

Hey mate great DIY project :thumb: is this going to be for new babies in the hempy buckets? For the first couple of weeks?
Much love :green_heart: :passitleft:
The plan is to use this to finish this grow out and for future grows from start to finish.

Thanks mate. I might get a slightly larger bucket to start with then. Don't have to fill it to the top but good to have that capacity available I guess. Is a mixer necessary with an air stone in there or a nice to have?

Be a nice little birthday present I reckon. I've got a wedding to attend in September and I know these will need watering at least once a day by then so I need to do something.

Sweet. That's reassuring. They seem happy enough right now so I was planning on keeping the feed schedule the same.

Push it alittle i say.
I know there calculator is pretty kwel.
But before that the charts suggested 1/2 ml to L veg
2/3ml to L flower hard water.
And tbh i do end up at 2ml/1.8/5 to L by time im ready for flower.
Only back it of if i have a strain that cant take it most have.

Looking good mate for the stress there under with the uk heat.

Not really over kill the mixer if im honest.
The air stones will do the job.
Just when i use the boost it can get murky.
So added the mixer.
I have now switched to the active boost which is alittle more.
Pipe tube mixing friendly.
Sorry missed this post ;)

My @CaliSeedStore order arrived today. 5 x Purple Dick Fem plus freebies of 1 x Oreoz Fem, rolling papers, stickers and a copy of Cool Runnings on DVD. Brilliant!

Nice selection and cool runnings what more could you ask for  :passitleft:

yup or you can push the boat out.
A user on here pointed me at this product.
But a valve on each would do the same job.
No need for a great pump just leave it running longer.
Takes some time to dail in but saves so much time in coco.
When it is.

Forgot to ask. Should I add a 4mm inline valve for each of the halos to do this?

So one of these mounted on top of the res with the lines running from that straight to the pots? Would be less building and parts required.
