I 100% agree with you bro I believe ratios are they key to killer weed or kill your weed šŸ˜‚ all the brands of plant food out there you can see all the different ratios they offer. They all will get you from seed to harvest no problems because everything is there but a crap ratio can be detreemental to terpene profile, bud size & density. I think that's all standard it was just what I mentioned about drouting... I have always flushed myself but I think at some point I want to explore this theory. I usually only run one strain per tent so I can do my standard flush at the end on a few then trying to continue p&k feed on the others.. šŸ¤”

Anyways gardens looking sweet bro looking forward to seeing how much they stretch šŸ˜ŽāœŒšŸ½

:passitleft:

Yeah brother, itā€™s good to do a drought and have one where you donā€™t. See the difference and then later taste the difference.

If I had to do a flush and drought I would time it 4weeks before harvest. I would flush and wait 2 weeks with no water at all.

Thatā€™s crazy big brother you really know how to train some plants šŸŒ±. CLšŸ€. :thumb: :bravo::welldone::adore::headbanger:

Thanks Cap. Several years doing the same thing OCD style, I learnt a thing or two.

Only thing missing is that freaking pistil on the plant so I can chill for a bit. Like the stretch is long manā€¦ if I didnā€™t do this itā€™s a 6 ft1/2 NBA rookie you know what I mean. I donā€™t wanna have tall plants because the attract attention. Even when Iā€™m growing in the bush I break that stem and let it fall.

Anyway glad you liking the material, theyā€™re still more to come brother.

:passitleft:

Waiting for maybe August throw any one of these for competition.

All good KC
,
Take your time itā€™s a long journal. I would skip veg lol fast forward to bud and flowers. šŸ˜‚
I'll pop around for sure....I wanna little of both, I'm greedy like that
Glad you have time to lurk around. There is that Durban to check out. I think we both might have gotten the Indica ā€œlookingā€ Durban pheno from Dutch passion, and itā€™s high high pest resistant plant.

:passitleft:
Me too! Only 1 tent going is like crazy for me during grow time so other than life bullshit, I have plenty more time to read journals than I have in the past now with this small set up.

Before I get to reading, is she in flower now? I read that come flower, the DP will morph and become very sativa like, leaves will thin out and she's gonna shoot up 2-3x past her veg height. If she's in veg (I know I'll get there but, figured I'd ask while I'm here), how tall is she, how old and when do you plan on flipping her to flower? Juuuuuuust curious, trying to figure out when I want to flip mine and/or if what @Dutch Passion Seeds said about it turning more sativa like in flower holds any water. :passitleft:

So my current Dutch Durban is a cross I made last year from the Regular Durban from Dutch passion.

The Dutch passion Durban looks broad leaf but has 9-11 leaflets leaves and does become narrower as the flowering goes.
It does stretch considerably like a Sativa would but is a fast flowering cross.

My current Durban cross is about 4-5 ft horizontalā€¦ It would be around same height vertical. I started them in a outdoor nursery under lights this April. 3 1/2 months vegging to date and started preflowering 2 weeks ago, my current Durban.

If all you have is 5ft total vertical space I would suggest some sort of training. The Durban will climb to your lights.

Hope I answered your questions.

Moved Mango around detached the grow bag from the earth boy was it stuck. Still undergoing drought. Took most of the yellow foliage out.
I will be cutting her down tomorrow after sundown, let her soak up all that hot sun one more time.

OK cool, these are straight Dutch Passion...one day I can hopefully make my own like you and others....

You have and it is so greatly appreciated. I am thinking some training will be needed as she is 32 Days above ground today and is 2 ft tall exactly and a 2 ft 2 inches horizontally and she is in the 4x4 which you know. I'm really glad I didn't have the extra 5th plant in this grow because with all that said, I don't think I'd be able to house them all comfortably with enough air flow had it been more than 4 in the tent. I'm planning on flipping them all at 45 days based off of this information you gave me. Without you, I wouldn't know I needed to up pot sooner than I was planning on. Thanks for everything, plants look amazing. I've got to update my journal and catch up on messages I've read and not responded to and then I'll be back to journal catching up. You're in this next grouping, excited to see all that you have done to get the grow to where it's at now. :thanks: :passitleft:

Best of luck, the Durban is a giver too. Massive top colas give amazing buds.

Stellar. I can tell by looking at little girl in veg right now!

So super stoked for harvest on her! Your insight helps me manage this grow considerably mi amigo.

Btw... your journal is next on my list. Just got another one down this morning. Sorry for the dings during the next few days lol

What up bro!
Day 2 since I planted these DN. Hopefully, get two females and 2 males in a perfect world šŸŒŽ bro. Let's see what happens homie.:passitleft:

Takedown time Yay! Looks great, almost as fun as taking the first pull, NICE

Dutertes Nightmare enters the United States of America!!!

:bravo:

Hold on Cowboys we in for a long ride.
I was just reading an article on how to prevent fungus/bud rot/ pm by Ed Rosenthal and he was saying to add Silica to your plants. I thought šŸ’ youā€™d appreciate hearing that. CLšŸ€. :thumb: :cheesygrinsmiley:

I was actually looking at Rhino skin last night as a silica
Rhino is good stuff but I use it very sparingly 'cause it messes with pH big time
The silicate takes ages to bind in the water so if I do use it, it I prepare it the evening prior, then add nutes etc

So if I say put the water to sit in the grow room do I need to cover it or anything?

I have not (yet) red his books Ed Rosenthal. But I guess he knows what he talking about, heard his name around here several times. Big Horticulture specialist just for that what ever he says resonates with me.

I think Silica is there with Calcium and magnesium, underrated and overlooked secondary nutrients. I wouldnā€™t even place them as micro elements.

If I could restructure the food chain for cannabis I would put it NPK primary - Cal/Magnesium/Silica secondary. I would think that if we hit these elements, for the lifespan of the plant we would have less chance of problems.

Last year I had a Cal/Mag issue, this year no issues. Donā€™t even use Neem anymore. But I have up the dose of Horsetail my Silica input. Every month I have harvested a pound of fresh horsetail and added to my liquid compost/green manure/tea.

I have noticed that the brown/dark Color of the horsetail tea, I see it again when I break the stems and the plant sap comes out dark blue or ā€œpurpleā€. I have the intuition that I see it in the stems because thatā€™s where the plant uses the Silica for cell wall repair and cell division. I subdivide every nutrient for every part of the plant it enhances or serves the purpose for.

Nitrogen - foliage and green for photosynthesis

P-K - roots and flower/fruit feed

Cal/Mag/Silica - cell division, stem cells, cell wall repair, over all plant structure and branching. Positive Impact on plant immune system.

I donā€™t worry about the rest. Boron, sulphur, ironā€¦

I didnā€™t say anything new, we all know what the plant needs basically but we donā€™t seem to understand how and when to apply these nutrients. I found foliar feeding is the most fast and by far most effective way to force feed any nutrient. The stomata is the mouth of the foliage, if properly used the plant take in seconds what ever you feed them.

I know indoors in a tent we canā€™t foliar because of the RH, equipment canā€™t get wetā€¦ and what ever other reason. But I would highly suggest to foliar right before lights on, the stomata will be open and ready, they start to close at high temperatures and low RH, to preserve liquid inside the plant.

I was reminded last year about the importance of Silica several times, now itā€™s there with me every time. Itā€™s so abundant horsetail.

How do you supply Silica to your medium? And whatā€™s the dose?
